As a trauma survivor I can tell you this business does NOT support trauma survivors when self care is exactly what survivors need and with 25 years of experience by this Doctor you would think there would be multiple articles on how he tries to save lives through his expertise, he doesn't. The spa was great 20 years ago but it is a disaster today. There are multiple reviews about Raquel but when you make and appt with her and wait 3 months she doesn't show up. Then the receptionist thinks it's okay, it's not. I asked about a surgery and the receptionist said it would be no problem for Dr Schenden. That same week I call for an appt and a lady said he doesn't do this procedure any more? Did he forget? NO he is now just money hungry, SAD, just SAD. Then she recommends another clinic without a name of a doctor, very unprofessional. Folks, don't buy the old reputation, this is now a bunch of money hungry narcissist who do NOT care about humans!!

She recommended IPL, which I have had done on my hands for dark spots, and it worked very well on my face after two treatments. However, my pain was a 10 out of 10 for 4 days after surgery. They prescribed they lowest does of Narco, the generic form, and dosed it 1 evry 4-6 hours. It did nothing so I called my doctor and he told me I could take two at night, which provided relief for 3 hours but I could not sleep due to the pain. This happened every night and I also had bad pain during the day. On the weekend, I called twice to the on-call doctor, explaining my pain and how the drugs were not working. He prescribed 10 more of the same med and dose. When I called in the next day because I could only take 1 Narco (which is Tylenol plus hydrocodene) due to him only prescribing 10, he added Robaxin 500 mcg every 8 hours to take in addition to the Narco, Still, I was in pain. They insinuated that I was going to get addicted to the narcotic and I told them that I never take pain meds except when I have surgery. They made me feel bad about calling them and I don't even think they believed me. I went into the office on the following Monday so they could check for a hematoma. I did not have one but still was experiencing alot of pain. They prescribed Ultram at that point. Patients should not have to suffer after major surgery. It is their job as doctors to manage our pain. They prescribe the cheapest generic drugs that don't work. I hope this helps when selecting a place to get surgery.

I have significant contour irregularities, dimpling and unevenness to my stomach. I expressed my concerns with Dr. Harake on two separate occasions. The first time, he blamed the irregularities on the Faja leaving marks. The second time, he claimed that it was from loose skin and I needed an abdominal wedge. I don't have loose skin nor does the indent go away when I take off my Faja. After doing extensive research and consulting other surgeons, I have unfortunately found out that these irregularities are permanent and I will have to live with a botched stomach for the rest of my life. This is devastating news and it's something lam struggling to accept. Contour irregularities are from poorly done liposuction and uneven fat removal. I now have to live with hiding my stomach for the rest of my life or until I get a liposuction revision with fat grafting to hopefully improve the appearance of my abdomen. I wish that Dr.Harake wouldn't have been so careless with my body and had took his time to adequately remove the fat without removing the superficial layer of fat which keeps the skin smooth and prevents irregularities. I hope this review brings awareness of the possible side effects of liposuction to everyone considering getting this procedure done. Unfortunately Dr. Harake will not admit any blame, and continues to place the blame on me. My stomach is the result of him completing a bbl on me. When I booked the surgery, the day of our consultation, I opted out of the abdominal wedge because he said it was optional and I did not want the scar. I did not have loose skin before or after surgery. Countless of other surgeons have confirmed that my stomach has contour irregularities, not loose skin. I wish surgeons who make mistakes would set their egos aside and fix their mistakes at their own expense. I'm not going to pay him another 10 grand to fix his mistake. If he had "meticulous attention to detail" I wouldn't be in this situation. He rushed me on and off that surgical table as fast as he could. On top of him deforming my stomach, the fat transfer to my hip dips was also unsuccessful. I will now be having a revision by a surgeon who cares more about their patients satisfaction and not the money. Update: Dr.Harake has blocked me on social media and has deleted my reviews. Multiple plastic surgeons are willing to go on record for me to sue the Harake Institute for malpractice. Dr. Harake's negligence resulted in my disfigurement. Not only did he deform me for life, but he has also caused me tremendous pain and suffering.

She is very competent and knowledgeable at what she does and quickly focuses on problems, diagnosis, and treatments. And while she is dealing with all of the normal doctor stuff during your appointment, she is friendly, and understanding throughout. In addition to all of that, she somehow manages to stay on schedule which may be important if you live and work on a tight schedule like we do. I, like many people, had just gotten used to the idea that doctor appointments always run late, until now. So if you are counting on finishing that novel you've been working on while waiting to go in to your appointment, Dr. Hendrick may not be the right doctor for you. So if you count on catching up on your reading while waiting at your doctor's appointment, stay the course. But if you prefer to have a more predictable schedule while getting the best quality care, I can highly recommend Dr. Hendrick.
