I could have sworn I wrote a review for this place in the past. I am not seeing it…read more So here goes a new review, this one has no pics like I am sure my old one did. We used to come here before many people knew about it. It was really enjoyable to take a drive, no matter the weather just to take a soak. We started mainly to ease some aches, and pains I would get from fibromyalgia, and then I had ulnar nerve issues, which I ended up having surgery. Coming here really helped me in my recovery back then. We also had a travel trailer we used to bring here, which I really enjoyed, because you get to utilize the upper pool. You only get to use the upper pool, if you are a guest staying there. No day guest users allowed. We have also rented cabins, they are also really nice. I highly recommend taking a stroll through their secret garden area. It is truly magical. I know in the past people used to have issues with the staff...this was a few years ago. I feel like possibly there may be new owners or staff now? Because things seemed way different when we recently stopped in. At least a lot friendlier. So changed in a good way. I just wish I had all of the pics I remember having of the garden, and the upper lot from when we would camp. We stopped going here so much over the years, for one we sold our trailer, and two it became so popular it would get over crowded in the regular pool. I was glad we made a return. There is just something in the water that makes you feel renewed again. The whole property is just beautiful. No matter what time of year you go, you won't regret it. I have even gone in a rainstorm, and snowstorm.

Disturbing Experience and Dismissive Staff Response…read more I stayed at Belknap Hot Springs with my family for one night and was deeply unsettled by what happened during our visit. After checking out of our campsite at 11 AM--as instructed--we were told by the night clerk that we could continue using the pools throughout the day, which seemed like a generous and normal amenity. When I returned to the pool in the afternoon, I witnessed a man openly exposing himself on a lounge chair. This was not subtle or accidental--his genitals were completely visible, and the pool was full of families, young children, and teenage girls. I immediately went to the front desk to report it. Instead of responding with concern, the staff member I spoke with immediately questioned whether I was "still staying there." I explained that I had followed the instructions given by their own staff and was willing to pay for day use if needed. She simply replied, "There isn't day use," and told me to leave. No one seemed interested in addressing the actual problem or taking action to protect other guests. There was no apology. No indication that they would speak to the man. No concern whatsoever about the safety of the many children present. The response I received was dismissive and unsettling. I left feeling disturbed--not just by what I witnessed, but by the staff's complete lack of appropriate response. This is not how a resort should handle a report involving inappropriate exposure near minors. Unless measures are taken -- I won't be returning. I'm sharing this so that other families are aware and so that Belknap considers revisiting their staff training and safety protocols.

Magic-just magic! We happened upon this lovely hidden gem after staying at a neighboring property…read more Three small cabins and one larger house are available to stay with the three cabins almost on top of the river! Fireplaces, full bathrooms, cable TV and VERY comfortable big beds. A very large wooded property right on the river and the kids swore they saw fairies, I think I might have too. Owned by the sweetest couple who made sure we had everything we could possibly need and recommendations on fishing, river trips and hikes to the water falls. NO traffic but close to all McKenzie River area has to offer. Give yourself and family a wonderful experience. We will come back as often as we can. There's two or three restaurants and a market with most suppliers you'll need to cook a nice dinner or bbq on your deck. Magic-just Magic

The best part was being right next to the river and having the sounds of the river lull you to sleep. It was so nice having all the modern amenities while still being able to step out the door and be in nature. The river is gorgeous and there are so many amazing hikes to go on. Definitely recommend Dee Wright Observatory if you get the chance. Overall, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay and we definitely plan to return in the future as there is more to see.

We had a toddler and without even asking they provided us a pack n play and a giant bucket so she could take a bath (since only had shower in bathroom). Lots of amazing frolicking through the property garden and forest for the littles. Everything was so tranquil, with the state of the world these days it was soooo much of everything we needed to take a break. I saw some people mentioned outdated cabins in their reviews but I dont get why? Theyre historic and retro design but meticulously maintained and clean. Someone clearly knows a lot about design because it feels like youre staying in an art piece that perfectly compliments the gorgeous forests and river outside. All the staff we ran into was so nice and helpful and they all work really hard to make it a great experience for people to enjoy. Honestly too, the wedding amenities looked AMAZING. If youre going to celebrate your love anywhere in nature, this should be the place. I bought a hat with a freakin Loloma lodge name on it! Who does that?! I did because this place was magical. Thank you so much to all the staff. I could go on and on even more but for the sake of not writing a novel on yelp ill stop here. Book it if you can!

The meeting place was well described to us and followed up with an email. The shuttle was right on time. Chris was very personable. I loved his knowledge of the area and information he shared with us regarding the bike ride we were about to go on. He also had detailed maps of the 26 mile rides for us and also described some specific areas of the trail. I have been on many shuttles. What I loved most about Chris is that at the end he wanted to make sure everyone was ok and no questions that anyone had were left unanswered. He did not rush off. Thank you!!

This review is for the Mtn bike rental and shuttle for the Mackenzie river trail…read more The good: the trail is worth the drive (from anywhere) and the questionable service. You're riding along the Mackenzie river on a single track trail for up to 25 miles. The scenery is amazing. The water is roaring and clear. The trail is very well maintained. I'm glad this business exists and people have an opportunity to explore this terrific landscape. The bad: we showed up and the guy behind the desk was stressed and had a lot of anxiety. It was only us and one other group of two people. We planned on doing the entire trail (25 miles) but were told the top 9 miles is very technical and we should only do the bottom 16 miles. We submitted and said okay. Unfortunately, where we dropped off only allowed for 10 miles of beginner riding. I called when we finished and they said it was a miss-communication on their part and would take us further up. We went further up and did the next 10 miles. There was one mile of pretty technical riding where we had to stop riding and walk a decent amount. The rest of the time was all beginner/intermediate riding. When finished we couldn't call the shop to get picked up because there was no service. We rode along the road until there was service and called and txted the driver 11 times. No answer. We finally called the shop and were informed that "his phone was on the charger." They said he would be here to pick us up in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later I called back and got a lot of attitude from the front desk staff saying "we have other things to do to." Luckily it was an amazing ride. Really hoping they can get their communication and customer service dialed in!
