We had reserved a 10' truck, but I really wanted a 9' cargo van, but it did not show any on the website. When we got to the lot, they had a cargo van available and asked if we could switch to that, and they were very accommodating. When we got the van, we had to park our car, but there is no parking spot at UHaul where you can leave your car. They recommended parking the car in the grocery store parking lot around the corner, and it was fine. We only had the rental for a few hours and drove a total of 15 miles. The staff was very nice and accommodating and pleasant to deal with. When I read the reviews, I we really concerned as there have been a lot of people who have had a tough experience. I have to say they were great.

All across the board nothing but professionalism, accommodating and made our move that much easier. He took the time to walk around the truck with us and point out features that would make our move easier and noted prior damage so we wouldn't be responsible. One of my best experiences at an equipment rental facility. Literally white glove treatment. Thank you again for making this an easy, quick and painless experience!

The company for Moving services recommended from U-Haul was called Moving services Moving moment…read more Two movers arrived 15 minutes late. They got out of their car smelling strongly of marijuana & looked completely disheveled. From the moment they started working, their behavior was careless & unprofessional. I had everything packed & organized ahead of time. I also provided moving blankets and packing materials for furniture that needed protection. Despite this, the movers ignored my requests to properly wrap items & instead carelessly threw furniture and boxes into the moving truck that I had rented. As a result, several items were damaged. They broke a mirror worth over $1,000 and caused damage to multiple belongings. They also repeatedly hit the walls of my home while moving furniture because they took no care whatsoever. The most upsetting damage was to my white designer couch. The movers had very dirty hands and left numerous black handprints all over the fabric. When I politely asked them to wash their hands or wear gloves, they laughed. The behavior continued to get worse. At one point they asked to use my microwave to heat up a cup of noodle soup for lunch. They sat on the edge of my coffee table while eating and then left the empty container sitting there when they finished. To make matters worse, they spent a significant amount of time on their phones during the move, showing each other photos and wasting time. The job was booked for two hours. When the two hours were up, they claimed they had gone 30 minutes over and attempted to charge me additional money. They even suggested that if I paid them cash, they would keep it themselves and not report the extra time to the company. Beyond UNPROFESSIONAL

She picked me up from the auto body shop on a Saturday, brought me back to the branch, and made the entire process smooth. She was friendly, professional, and very accommodating while helping me select a vehicle and complete the paperwork. Her customer service was genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience afterward was less pleasant. Once my vehicle was assigned, I needed assistance locating the (a blue Nissan Rogue) that I was picked up in, to retrieve my belongings, including golf clubs. When I asked for help a taller black male stands at 6 ft and taller the representative I spoke with responded very casually and directed me to retrieve my items, as if we were just buddy buddies, leaving me on my own rather than offering assistance. This was surprising, especially given that I observed a much more attentive and accommodating approach moments later when he assisted other customers, overhearing their conversation their conversation and they had common ground that his spouse is Nigerian, I was left with some bitterness, and appalled. The lack of consistency and professionalism stood out and left me feeling overlooked as a customer. When I returned the keys, there was no acknowledgment or thank you, have a nice day,, which added to the overall discomfort of the interaction. I've worked in sales and customer-facing roles for many years, and professionalism and consistency matter. While Dee provided excellent service, the experience as a whole could benefit from better customer engagement and awareness from all staff members. Because of that inconsistency, I would rate this location as average.

A+ Service and Facility -- Highly Recommend!…read more TL;DR: US Storage Centers in Harbor City is spotless, secure, priced fairly, and well-managed. Diana, the manager, is incredibly kind, patient, and thorough. The units are clean with tall ceilings, there's great accessibility (including handicap parking), and you can drive right up to the roll-up doors to unload. Highly recommend! Now for the full breakdown: A+ Service and Facility -- Highly Recommend! I can't say enough good things about US Storage Centers in Harbor City -- especially Diana, the manager. She's friendly, patient, and goes the extra mile to make things easy and stress-free. Diana physically walked me through each unit I was interested in so I could see the actual space -- incredibly helpful! If I ever find the unit too big or too small, I can switch to a different size when I need to, so I'm not locked into a space that doesn't work for me. The facility itself is pristine -- spotless elevators, hallways, and storage units, no bugs, and regular pest control. Occupants can use the office bathroom during office hours, and there's a porta-potty outside for after-hours use. There are no trash cans in the storage areas (which I understand!), so I recommend bringing your own trash container if you need to sort through things. (But puh‑LEASE be a good neighbor and don't leave perishable items behind!) Security is solid -- each customer gets their own gate code, and the perimeter -- which to this civilian seems military grade -- is no joke! They are strict about occupants being out 15 minutes before closing to avoid a gate unlock fee, which is totally fair. (Pro Tip: set yourself an alarm!) The whole place feels extremely safe, even if accessing alone. Storage access is excellent, including for those with mobility differences: you can drive right up to either the individual drive-up units or the building that contains the smaller interior units, which also has a very tall roll-up door for easy unloading. (But again, let's be good neighbors and park there only long enough to unload, then move to another spot so others can do the same -- it's a shared space, not a private driveway.) There are designated handicap parking spaces right next to the roll-up door and directly in front of the office. That means the world to me -- my dad uses a Veloped Trek all-terrain walker (he even used it to walk marathons at age 73!), and those spaces made it a cinch for him to help me unload things. If you're curious, the type he uses:" is the Veloped Trek -- available online or through Trionic USA in Glendale, CA. The roll-up doors to the building and units make it simple to store tall items, and the ceilings inside the storage units are at least 8 feet high -- plenty of vertical space to stack and organize. Heavy-duty dollies (like the ones at home improvement stores) are also available -- just ask during office hours and leave your ID to borrow the key. This location doesn't offer climate-controlled units, but Diana manages other locations and will guide you if that's what you need. The contract is month-to-month, prorated if you move in mid‑month, and you can sign up for paperless communication plus add an emergency contact. I stumbled upon this place on a day I was overwhelmed (needing to empty my truck so I could help my parents the next day), and it turned out to be exactly what I needed. I walked out with peace of mind -- and a place to store all my extra stuff! Huge thanks to US Storage Centers -- and especially to Diana, who sets the gold standard for customer service! Location: US Storage Centers - Harbor City 24490 Frampton Ave, Harbor City, CA 90710 The main entrance to the office is on Normandie Ave., just west of this address. But if you go to the Frampton Ave. side of the office, they will let you in as well--very convenient! Phone: 310-326-8888 Website: www.usstoragecenters.com Email: harborcity@usstorage.net
