I have a 2023 F350 Lariat with the high output diesel. This is my first diesel truck and everyone told me they are more expensive and difficult to maintain. This truck is a workhorse and I use it to haul loads of gravel and soil for construction. Last month, I had an attempted break in that immobilized the truck. I had it sent on a flatbed to my local Ford dealer. They took 2 weeks to tell me that it needed a full fuel system replacement for $19k. They did a recall and charged me $500 for a diagnostic.I absolutely could not believe the truck needed this much work, so I took it to Diesel Tune for a second opinion. George and his guys looked over the truck and plugged in the OBD2 reader. They couldn't find anything wrong with the truck and they even check over all the fluids for contamination. We ended up doing a full 50,000 mile service with filters and fluids replaced along with some additional consumables. The total was $2600 and all the work was done diligently on time. First I will start by saying, bringing a 6.0 with tons of upgrades to a shop that didn't build it, hoping they can fix the issue is a long shot, however Diesel Tune truly did that. George & Sal were extremely helpful when it came to my husbands truck. They answered all his questions. They try their best to have it ready as soon as they can knowing it's his work truck & he needs it as soon as he can have it back. It took a couple times to figure out the main issues, when it comes down to it, it's an amazing truck that didn't have the proper care beforehand. Lots of things were replaced, I mean my husband truly did put his money into this truck. It's not always easy doing that with a shop because you fix one thing, another thing goes wrong, it's just how it is with mechanics, you just have to understand that. So I've been going to diesel tune for a Few years i have a 06 6.0 ford. I've done some work with them. Like engine work fuel sender radiator alternator and other stuff. Stoped going to them when i was getting the same issues. Like an alternator that lasted less than 2 years when my new mechanic changed it he said it wasn't a motor craft brand like they said. Now the fuel sender was changed twice by diesel tune in less than 40k miles so it went out a 3rd time. That's less than 60k miles now for a third time. My new mechanic did the job again no motor craft fuel sender. It was never installed no wonder it kept going out. Sal at diesel tune is always saying how we're putting motor craft don't worry. Then when I went back for the same issue Sal was like you only have a 10k mile warranty so I paid again 1250$ Spoke with George I told him to pay for one of the jobs since he didn't install what he promised me. Charged me 1250$ both times for an inferior part. His only solution was to bring it back to Diesel Tune. No thanks George I don't trust you anymore which is kind of sad because I feel like you took advantage of me. Finding a good diesel repair center is tough. I found these guys after my previous mechanic misdiagnosed my truck and I ended up stranded on the highway. This shop provides exceptional customer service, they're courteous, fair and do good work. My fuel pump was replaced by the previous shop, however the gas lines were junk, these guys found this out through their expert analysis. Since then I've had them do my brakes, radiator flush and I have been very happy. I actually came back thinking my rear brakes had an issue with brake chatter and George at no charge identified that the problem was due to my own ignorance and he torqued my rear airbag that was actually making what I thought was brake chatter. read more

Right. So if you've seen my other review for George, Sal and the rest of the Diesel Tune crew, you know I've been a fan. They really are great. But I'm posting this update because they've come through big recently and thought you should know. Since I bought my truck, I've had to make all sorts of repairs. Some I've done myself, some I've tried and had DT fix them for me, and others I've had to bite the bullet and prepare myself for the bank account drain. Welp- it finally happened. My truck blew a gasket and it came time to make the call to sell, junk or get the work done. DT diagnosed my truck, gave me a list of items that need to be done and gave me a cost. It's too much to list here, but the important part is that they did the work, it was exactly what they said they'd do and the cost came in within 10% of the original estimate. I waited until I'd driven it for over 500 miles before posting this. It now runs better than it has since I've owned it and probably as good as the day it came off the lot in 2003. I have an '05 6.0L Powerstroke and while traveling from NorCal to Whittier last week, the truck started whistling pretty loud and got worse the further I travelled. When I arrived, I asked my brother-in-law (who owns a 5.9L Cummins) if he had a good local diesel person. He recommended George from Diesel Tune, and I'm glad he did! I called him on Friday morning and he told me to come by his shop so he could see what the problem was. He and one of his mechanics found the problem within a matter of minutes (crack in Y pipe). He told me that it would not be risky to drive it back to NorCal, but provided a fair estimate to fix it on Monday if I wanted. I elected to have him fix it while in town. He ordered the part and fixed the truck so we were able to drive home on Monday afternoon. He and his staff got the truck done in the time he said and came in a good amount less than his original estimate. They were clean, polite and honest. I would recommend Diesel Tune to anyone! Took my truck in 2006 Ford F-350 6.0 powerstroke. Truck had several issues: leaking radiator, white smoke through tail pipe, running way sluggish, and over heating. Read good things about this shop and was recommended through a forum. Truck had blown head gasket, bad oil cooler, and some bad injectors. They recommended to bullet proof the truck. A little over $10k. After some hard thinking decided to do it. Got the truck back and decided to mostly keep it parked as I want it to last (only use it to haul my boat). Not even a gas tank in Radiator started to leak, one reason I took it in. Took it back and they wanted to charge me a little over 400 to get it replaced. Was way upset. They said we can't control what your truck is going to do. After going back and forth dropped it to like 200 and some change In labor, I did a warranty swap through autozone for the radiator. As I didn't use it much, I later realized that my windshield wiper hoses were taken off and never put back. Then as summer came along I had no functioning AC. They may have disconnected the AC for engine work and never refilled it. Last thing, had a superchips flashpaq tuner in the truck that I explained I had put in the truck and asked if that would damage the engine etc. I mentioned i wouldn't use that tune anymore since I wanted this 10k investment to last. Went to try and sell it and find that the tune programming has been used elsewhere ? . Based on my radiator experience when I took it back i decided not to go back as the warranties pretty much don't exist with them. Truck runs good though (only put no more than 2000 miles in like almost a year) except for the other issues so gave 2 stars. I guess check your whole truck before and after u get it. read more
