Koyo Studios' artist, Koyo Corey Ray, did my full-sleeve tattoo AND my permanent make-up!! He did a beautiful full color, Japanese-themed art piece, that literally looks like an impressionistic-realism painting on my arm. For my permanent make-up he did my whole face. Eyebrows with pencil shade, eyeliner with lash extension, two-tone lip color, and even blush! He made me look and feel so beautiful! He was able to accentuate my facial features, and knew the best way to do my make-up! He also gave me very detailed advice on the tattoo process and how to care for my tattoo and my permanent make-up. My permanent make-up has lasted for two years with NO touch-ups! It still looks like I just got it done!! I can just wake up and go to work every morning with no need to put on any make-up! And I look so professional and ready for work or fun!

Xander was our tattoo artist and I am so happy we were able to get connected with him. He was so friendly from the get-go. We showed him our tattoo idea (sun and wave vibe), he took them and tweaked them to be our own individually. He was patient and had no problem tweaking the designs based on our input. Everyone is nice and it seems they each have their own niche. While I have been there I notice they all seem to be very friendly, informative and honest. Xander is great. My first tattoo here was a silhouette of my kids and he recently just did a floral wrap on my arm and this wrap will eventually finish my sleeve. I appreciate that he takes his time. I came to enigma to change out my jewelry. I had a threaded stud that was literally stuck in my…read moreear. I had tried and tried to take it off but it wouldn't, so I thought "it's time for the professionals" LOL anyway i walked in and was immediately greeted nicely as they were finishing up with another client. Ruth was the piercer I saw, and was laying down on the table with my head turned to the side. i was prepared for the experience to be difficult and unpleasant since it was so stuck. I kid you not, I didn't feel anything ?? genuinely, ruth took out the stuck jewelry then put in two hoops (2 helix piercings but one stuck) and all i felt was her gloves brushing against me, as it normally would. By the time she told me was done I thought oh maybe she forgot the second piercing but sure enough she had taken the stuck stud and put in 2 hoops. TL;DR All I know is Ruth is incredibly gentle and fast ! Definitely coming back!

All three of my tattoos have been done by Guf. My first two were done a long time ago, back when…read moreGuf was still at Ace Tattoo. My most recent was done at Tattoo Royale. For all three of my tattoos, I went to Guf with a very vague idea of what I wanted. He worked with me to draw up something that turned out to be better than what I had imagined. He continued working with me to make slight tweaks, right up to the point when he turned the needle on. *gulp* I have three tattoos, but still, the sound of that needle sets my heart to racing. Guf really is very talented. His artistic ability is undeniable, and his ability to take your idea and turn it into something you're proud to display is one of the reasons I go back to him over and over. My husband has gotten one tattoo from Guf, and one (huge!) one from Droopy. He was going to go to Guf again, but after seeing Droopy's work, decided that he'd be the best artist for this particular tattoo. Both Droopy and Milton are also very talented (neither of us have gone to Milton yet, but I've seen his work over the many visits to the shop, and he's good, too!) The guys are friendly and take the time to make sure the tattoo is right. Plus, they've got good taste in music, which is nice when you're in the shop for a couple hours at a time. ;) Parking can be a huge bitch, since it's street parking, but we've never had a problem. I've had to go out and move the car up or back in inch or two to bust up the markings on my tire, but that's about the worst of it.
