Monica welcomed me in so kindly and showed me to the patio where I enjoyed a gorgeous ocean view while choosing a design. My artist, Z, helped me find a placement that would work with my body, and she made 4 different stencils just to be sure that we got the perfect location. I don't know why considering my ears are pierced three times and I have tattoos. After lots and lots of research, and after seeing their ad on Instagram (way to go you got me!), I decided to call. Ana picked up the phone and was so kind and answered all questions with a happy attitude I knew I had to book it here. So I came the next day during my lunch hour (silly me because La Jolla and parking don't go together!). I was a few minutes late but Ana was great and totally understood. They have some really nice jewelry and the titanium studs are included in their piercing price. I opted for 14kt gold since I do prefer that for my skin. Ana was so patient and great at explaining everything to me regarding nose piercings and what to expect and how to clean. She used a long needle to pierce which is highly recommended for a safer piercing. I thought it would hurt more than it did, but it was super fast. Honestly, putting the jewelry on was more irritating than the actual piercing. I'm so happy with my choice! I highly recommend coming here. Ana was great and this place was super super clean. Will be back to shorten the post and to change out when it's healed.

I'm truly grateful for such a kind and professional redirection-- because the piercing is an uncommon request and very anatomy dependent. I'm really glad my piercer at Enigma, Didier, was able to take their time to not only perform it, but also communicate what he was looking for to be able to do so successfully. Didier talked me through appropriate anatomy requirements for it, gave me a mirror to show how he'd like to position the piercing ideally, discussed jewelery options/possible adjustments to the bar to accommodate healing he'd like to do (if needed), and even mentioned common issues he'd like to avoid that are run into when piercers try to manipulate the area and how such can make the piercing difficult to do/accomplish appropriately. He also thoughtfully kept checking in with me while he was making preparations (sterilizing, PPE, etc.) to make sure to answer any questions and ease any feelings of anxiety. They were only in town for a couple of days and Brandon was very flexible with scheduling and accomadating both of them. His set-up was incredibly clean and he was very patient and kind to my sister who was scared of needles. He took the time to explain the process, make sure they were both comfortable, and paused before continuing to ensure they were okay. He was also honest about placement and recommendations for sizing so that the tattoo would heal the best and not fade excessively fast. We took a while for 2 fairly small tattoos due to conversation and changing our minds about placement, but he never rushed us and made the entire process the best it could've been. Overall, Brandon was professional, patient, and geniunely caring toward his clients.
