The studio is incredibly clean! Everything felt very organized and sanitary. Each piece of jewelry is sterilized for 7-9 minutes before being used, and the jewelry displays were spotless and beautifully organized by brand. Every piece they carry is gorgeous, so be prepared to have a hard time choosing! 2.) Friendly, patient, and knowledgeable staff My appointment was with Boge, and while I was waiting, Lev helped me choose my jewelry. Both were incredibly kind and patient, especially because I am very indecisive. They never pressured me to choose anything and were happy to show me different jewelry sizes, talk through my options, and help me calculate the total cost. 3.) Honest advice and genuine customer care This was probably what impressed me the most. I originally came in wanting a hidden helix, but Lev actually advised me against getting one at this time because of the potential healing concerns with my ear anatomy and piercing history. They also took into consideration my upcoming events and helped me plan which piercings to get first and when it would be best to get the others. Although I was initially disappointed that I couldn't get the hidden helix, I really appreciated their honesty. They easily could have done the piercing, but instead prioritized what they felt would be best for my healing. That made me feel like they genuinely cared about me as a customer rather than just making a sale. And the customer care went above and beyond! I hadn't eaten before my appointment because I was nervous, and Boge noticed and offered me one of her own chewy granola bars so I wouldn't risk feeling faint. Such a small gesture, but it meant a lot to me. 4.) Fixed my messed up Claire's Piercing I had a piercing on my right ear that was pierced at the worst location as I have a mole there so I never bothered wearing earrings. Boge was able to work her magic and made everything look even! Please see my photos for before and after. Seamless experience (I have a super low pain tolerance and prone to fainting with needles). She was so kind and talked me through it all and let me lay in the chair for a bit before even getting up. I never felt rushed, pressured, or uncomfortable at any point. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, and I left feeling really confident about my piercing plan. Thank you to Boge, Lev, and the rest of the team for such a wonderful experience! I'll definitely be back when the timing is right for my helix.

Very calm and patient, explained everything she was going to do and talked us through it as she went, helped us to breathe through our anxiety, and then it was over. They also sell saline spray (for $15 if I remember correctly) which I picked up since I was traveling and will be traveling again. Lacy pierced me and she was soooo amazing! (Im assuming since you guys only carry threadless anyways.) Our experience here was TERRIBLE. When me and my best friends first entered the store, NO ONE said hi or welcomed us. We entered and it was just an awkward, uncomfortable atmosphere. No greeting at all even though there was at least 5 people in the shop. We approached one of the guys, Ruben I think was his name, who asked what we wanted and we had said we wanted to make an appointment. When we made the appointment (which was scheduled for a whole week later because that's when their "color guy" was in), two of my friends had wanted tattoos on will call. Which is fine for them to make us wait, because afterall, it IS will call.. but for very small tattoos. Ruben had said it could be a 2 hour wait so we left, had something to eat and came back 2 hours later. When we came back, again, no greeting. We were then notified that we'd have to wait another hour or so. We waited IN the shop this time and waited for another 3 HOURS before they finally said my friends could get their tattoos. Their tattoos were done well, but they did not leave a tip. Since the service was so horrible. When my friends and I came back to the store for my other friend's appointment that she had made, they had us wait again. Even though it was for an appointment and we were perfectly on time. They postponed our appointment to a week later.. for no good reason. "Too busy" or something. So when me and my friends went back AGAIN (Mind you, we live VERY far from this tattoo shop and we thought they would be the best since we saw photos of their work online, which is the reason why we chose here instead of a local shop), we had to wait another hour for her tattoo artist to get there. They had made her appointment for the afternoon and she ended up waiting over 2 hours for her artist to get there. When they finally got to her and finished, the tattoo was also VERY pricey. A 3 by 4 tattoo for $400 - with $30 tip. Honestly, I think they were just taking advantage of her on the price because we don't look like we know too much about tattoos. The tattoo had minimal color and it only took 2 hours. They should really just charge by the hour so people don't get the idea that they're being ripped off like we think we were. My friend had told us multiple times that day that she really just wanted to demand a refund on her deposit and go somewhere else. Which probably would've been a good idea because her tattoo ended up being uneven in the eyes. We concluded that it probably would've been better for her to go to a local shop because Ink Slingers specializes in black and grey realistic portraits. Her tattoo was unrealistic and had color. All in all, the shop is clean and everything, but not very friendly. All 3 times that me and my best friends went, we were not greeted. They had us wait so many hours, even on the appointment days and postponed it once. The tattoo artist was hours late for his own appointment and the tattoo did not come out like she wanted. I myself am never going to get my tattoos here, seeing what my friends had to go through and the unprofessionalism here. Basically, if you want something custom (where the artist draws something up freehand for you from your references) done like my friend did, don't come here. If you have an EXACT reference of what you want done, give them a shot. read more
