So if anyone gets upset about what I say in the comment, take it up with me, not Richard, Misty, or anyone who works at this business. Now, on to MY personal thoughts, and MY personal opinion, on the matter of the lady who gave this shop a one star review. (Its way down at the bottom, I'm doing this while eating a really AWSOME quesadilla, at Alfredo's on 14th, yea I get around like that) As a collector of tattoos, I can honestly say Abilene is virtually blessed to have this shop in town. Richard is by far, one of the best artists in the United States, he won't admit it, but he is a humble man. The shop itself is extremely clean, well kept, and is a very modern shop. Richard and his wife AND son, run the shop, some of the nicest people you will meet in Abilene. It's by the hour, which is the way a shop should charge, I still don't understand how shops in small towns can still scam people with that by the inch or square crap. Your getting permanent art put in your skin, not having a wall painted... And I will argue that point with anyone that wants to take it up with me.. I only had some small work done on my fingers by Richard, when I get him to do my next large piece will add photos. Well, maybe I will drop in to the get the ink "recharged" soon, then post some pics, it's not his fault, ink in your fingers is hard to pack in, and after a few years it fades, just being the privileged white man I am, my skin holds ink forever, I'm just lucky like that, but finger skin is another story. That's it for now, back to food and waitress reviews. ------------my reply to mrs one star----------- So, I'm sitting in Alfredo's, eating a pretty AWSOME Asada quesadilla, looking back through my Yelp history, and out of curiosity as to why this shop isn't a straight 5 stars, I scroll through the review history, and low and behold, I find the reason why. This person, had gotten a dermal piercing in her chest, a pretty ballsy move for a girl, who looking at her photo, probably doesn't even have the small town tramp stamp on her lower back, well now that I think about it, she probably does have the tramp stamp. Regardless, a dermal piercing, is one of the most likely piercings, aside from maybe implants in the forehead, or implants or piercing in your genitalia. Meaning, you need to be extremely careful, and use extreme care in cleaning, your hygiene must be close to that of a heart transplant operating room, or you will get an infection, inflammation, lots of swelling, maybe even puss that will make the area smell like the butthole of an elephant. Also, being the judgmental prick I am, seeing she has 0, possibly one tattoo hidden from her grandma, and 0 other piercings, I'm also going to use those assessments, and say she had no idea what she was getting into, when she got this, what I would call, advanced level piercing. Much like these idiots I see, who get a tattoo on the hand or even face, as a first tattoo. You just don't do that, it breaks many cardinal rules, of not just the body modification or body art subculture, but just common sense as well. I'm going to bet, a fresh $100 bill, she probably got this piercing, and went straight out to show it off to all her friends, probably even went out drinking most of the night, smoking or in a smoke filled environment... Recently got my nose pierced (by another shop) and I was getting a bump and then accidentally pulled out the piercing during sleep, could not get it back in due to pain or out due to build up from my bump. But it was a blessing in disguise because it was the wrong piercing to start with (to short actually angled wrong) and was causing my issues. Misty helped me get the right piercing. Gave me great instructions on how to heal it and told me to come back if needed. Also answered some questions had about other piercings. Highly recommend going there for your next piercing. Plus I just love the atmosphere there and loved Misty's style for sure.

I paid my $250 deposit and was told that he was not able to do my tattoo on my chosen day because he was heading out of town but he told me Mike would be able to take care of me, no problem. I went almost the whole week without hearing from Mike, I then got ahold of him a couple of days before I was scheduled to find out his drawing was not even close to what I wanted. I contacted Justin again and he put me in touch with the tattoo shop's owner, James. James promised he would take care of it himself. I ended up getting sunburned at work and James told me he wouldn't tattoo me because of it so we scheduled it for the following Sunday (today). I didn't hear from him one time during the week, I finally contacted Justin again to say I wanted my deposit back because they failed to live up to their side of the deal. James finally reached out to me saying the tattoo was ready but couldn't send me a picture of it. I told him I wasn't interested and I would find someone else to do it and I wanted my deposit back. I attached screen shots of his responses. I would not recommend this tattoo shop to anyone because they will take your money for a deposit and then fail to do the job and then blame you and keep your deposit.
