I've been to the ink station twice for piercings. Septum and nipple piercings. The septum piercing was quick and easy, perfect positioning. But last night I went and got my nipples pierced and unfortunately one of them is at a 90° angle instead of being horizontal. No I'm not crazy about the pain or doubling the healing time so instead of getting it fixed I think I'm just gonna let it be and consider myself to be a Picasso. The staff has always been pretty friendly and it's always been in and out quick and easy but if you are getting a piercing I think I would stress the importance of making sure the placement is correct. If I could give negative 10 stars I would. Spontaneously went to go get a small tattoo with a friend, biggest regret of my life. The tattoo is small with simple lines but holy HELL they made it look horrible. It looks like the dude had a stroke while trying to tattoo it. Some of the lines are blown out beyond belief and some lines are so thin you cant even see them. And on top of that, they are ALL crooked. I genuinely do not understand how he did such a bad job. I went to Sinners to see what I could do about touching it up/covering it but its just too far gone. Currently paying hundreds of dollars to get it removed. Do NOT go here unless you have enough money for tattoo removal!!!! Wish they could reimburse me for my removal appointments!! read more

I would not recommend this place. I went in for two tattoos, the workers did not have good attitudes, they would not let anyone go in and sit with me while I got my tattoo, didnt have the proper bandages to cover my tattoos after they were done and when I pulled the bandages off it was a bloody mess, really didnt seem like a sanitary place. read more

I came in for lines and they made them crooked, blended the words when I only had 3, vibes were solid but still not recommended for line work whatsoever. Had to go to another shop to get it fixed and it's still lowkey botched. read more

Fuck me for not looking at these reviews because I went the lady at the front counter was super nice but the tattoo guy was really rude and acted annoyed that I wanted a tattoo. It was my first tattoo and I asked him for one design and got something completely different. It looks like I did it myself in high school. A review is worth a lot and I am grateful to be able to share my experience. I am from out of town but went to this place with the family member to get a tat! They were nice taking our money! I will say be skeptical of any tattoo shop you have to pay first, that do cash only and don't let friends back to see as you get tattoos! Being able to have family and friends be there as onlookers are part of the permanent experience. I was trying to give them the benefit of doubt but it was when my family member who had just finished getting a tattoo was trying to get the keys from other family member who was getting a tattoo and the girl with the purple hair rudely shouted out you can't go back there to talk to the other family member and she was trying to just get the keys because we had been there nearly 4 hours. Any way, because the lady with the purple hair was sooo rude, I said she was just back there getting a tattoo for 2 and a half hours and she shouted out no with this stern unnecessary uncalled for totally over the top condescending attitude and voice unlike when she was taking our money. Being the professional person I am and feeling that customer service is everything I had to immediately let her know that was not ok nor appropriate and that we were not her kids. I am 60 and both my daughters who were there were both over 35. In fact, all 3 of them had gotten tattoos. The lady with the purple hair did apologize but yikes! This made me feel very uncomfortable to say the least. She did this in front of many people all of which seemed like staff and they were aware that our family member had been back there getting a tattoo because they were all walking around. This is another issue for me this lady with the purple seemed to have a couple of kids with her who were pretty rambunctious in this shop that was playing and running all around the shop but not one time did I ever hear her say anything to them or raise her voice but it was like she was waiting for the moment to try and put any of us in our place and that didn't feel cool at all. Especially being that we were people of color. There was so much distraction there but she seemed so focused on us. We spent a decent amount of money in this place and this is the stuff that makes me feel we should have taken ourselves and hard earned money somewhere else. read more

I was excited to get first tattoo and I had my eye on this butterfly made of flames. The lady that did my tattoo wasn't good at all. It took 45 minutes to get my outline done and it hurt bad, so I didn't let her finish it. The tattoo was an inch big and maybe an inch and half long. I have found out that she dug way to deep and there were so many blow outs that no one can tell what the outline is! I'm afraid to get it redone! Couple years later I decides to get a tongue piercing. Chris was the one to do it this time. I though the piercing went well until I couldn't get it to heal up. I waited 3 months and finally got some advice about it since my tongue kept splitting both ways. Come to find out, my piercing was crooked. I should have known better!!! NEVER AGAIN. I'm very disappointed in this place, and sad that it's even in our town. My experience isn't a new one, but I feel the need to share on here as much as I do outside of here. I will have the initials CR, carved into the leopard print on my back that is quiet distinguishable for the rest of my life or until I decide on removal. I went into ink station on my 18th birthday and was a girl trying to have fun when I guess the owner with the first initial C, and the last letter R and his son thought it would be hilarious to carve their initials on my back. While they were doing it they were laughing and the older was drawing and the little one peaking over my back saying 'oh man, oh man' and walking back and forth. As if I wasn't nervous enough. I told them not to, so I didn't think they were seriously doing this. When I was done getting my tattoo, or maybe I should say THEIR tattoo I was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. When I tried to look in the mirror, they both swore it wasn't there and had me pay 120 for their initials. I didn't see them at first, I was just ready to leave remembering what my parents said about me not going at all. When I got to my sisters I immediately asked her if she saw anything including initials. She did, and then before I could even point it out to my brother in law, he pointed it out and asked me what the initials were for. I'm not impressed. I will never go back. I did not go alone, but I should have went with someone with I guess a stronger personality that my best friend and I. I will never ever ever recommend this place, if anything I will continue to recommend anyone but these people. read more

Just got stationed in Abilene on Dyess Air Force Base after being deployed on a tour to Iraq me and my girlfriend decided that we wanted a tattoo and a couple of piercings so went to The Ink station on S 7th street down from the base and we ccould not be more amazed of the experience we had. As soon as we walked in greated with a smile and friendly faces to the smell of how clean it was Baby Chris the piercer was so informative about the piercing and selection of jewelry will never need to go anywhere else. Now as far as my tattoo Chris Hudson "Hud" as they call him was so fast and the end result of his work is so amazing I will have to get a few shots of the art work he put on me its unreal can't go anywhere with out somebody asking me who did it and where it was done at. I recommend The Inkstation every chance I get. A big thank you to all of you guys up there for the experience you have gave us. read more

I got my third tattoo here like 3 years ago. It was a big tattoo covering a large portion of my back. I had an appointment with Chris. First I wanted to get it on my side but the design that the girl made wouldn't fit so he suggested that I get it on my back. I had to get the outline and color done on separate days because he was pushing so deep that I was very sore. When I went back to do the color he had to go over the whole outline again with a thicker outline to try and cover up the blowouts he made. After I healed I learned that I was allergic to some of the ink that was used to some of it was rejected by my body. When I went in to get it touched up they told me that I had to come in on Monday evening to get that done. When I came back on Monday Chris was all booked up and instead of having someone else fix it or making an appointment they told me to come back next Monday. Basically they had no intention on ever fixing it. I had to basically redo the entire tattoo somewhere else and since most of it was scar tissue it sucked. I would not recommend this place unless you want to pay for someone else to fix it later! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. DO NOT GO HERE. "Lil Chris" did a terrible job with my ear piercing. I told him that I was not allowed to have hoops for my work and he told me that hoops were all he had and that he was out of studs. What piercing studio is out of studs?! Once I asked for my money back (he hadn't done anything) he REFUSED. He then proceeded to pierce my ear WITHOUT CLEANING MY EAR. This is against health code and I have reported this violation to the health department. Do not go here unless you want to be disrespected and get an infection. I got my nose pierced here about a year ago, it was $10 I think. I guess I got what I paid for. They didn't ask me any questions, not even which side I wanted pierced! The guy just put a dot on the left side of my nose, and I said, "How did you know I wanted it on that side?" He kind of just blew me off, and laughed. He didn't show me the dot in a mirror, to see if it was where I wanted it, and stood over me with a needle. The whole experience really freaked me out. I know when I got my belly button done (somewhere else, thank god) they used a clamp, I don't know if it's standard to use a clamp with the nose, but I know mine hurt, A LOT, and he didn't use a clamp. After he pierced it he gave me a paper towel, and sent me on my way. They didn't give me any care instructions, or solution, or anything! It bled quite a bit, while my navel piercing just had a tiny dot. I can't speak for their tattoos, but if a friend told me they were going there, I'd tell them to definitely not to. I love ink station well actually love chris to do my tattoos i have i tattoo that i got by them of course my tattoos are not like a picaso it's not some big portrait but i do have a saying going down my spine that chris did yes it hurt but it has not faded at all still looks brand new it also can stay brand new looking by the way u let it heal n i have had my nose pierced twice because i couldn't ware it to school so i re pierced it and I had my belly button done but at work I pulled it out I don't do well with that but it's all abouthow u take care of what any tattoo shop does and u will get great results read more
