Friendly barbers and nice quality shop but didn't get what I requested. I only wanted some minimal trim but ended up with a lot of volume removed and a very uneven beard trim. Usually I'll request fixes but it looked ok in the shop and at this point too much has already been taken off. My son and I have been going every 2 weeks for quite a while. Booked for the year. Brad is our guy. Keeps my boys mohawk looking fresh and my beard crisp. Don't be scared...give this place a shot! Don't know about you, but when looking for new place for a cut, I get a little nervous. Been to a few "bad" places or have had "not so good experiences". This place was not one of those, tried to do a walk in, but they were so booked that didn't work and luckily they had an opening alter in the day. All the barbers working were friendly, greeting and talking to me when I first walked in and everyone in an out got the same treatment. Showed back up a few hours later for my appointment and they remembered me...so, they do pay attention . Stupid me I came in to a new barber and asked for a new hairstyle to me...that was an experiment. Good news, it worked out. Brad was my barber was asking questions and checking in with along the way making sure all was good for the rookie customer. While I was there everyone working and waiting for cuts seemed friendly, talking, joking, etc...they all seemed to include everyone in the shop. This seemed like a typically old school barbershop. Was referred here by a friend. I was in need of a barber for my 2 year old son. Appointments can be made online or by calling. I was able to get a same day appointment with Ben. Ben was amazing! I wasn't sure what kind of cut I wanted, I just wanted him to look handsome and cool and Ben did just that! The shop is clean, organized and all the guys working were friendly! We were so happy and relieved to find Inglorious Barber. My husband and our 11 year old son are quite picky about where they their cuts. We've been through a lot of different establishments in the area, including Long Beach. Oddly enough, it's my 11 year old boy who is the most critical and hasn't been happy with a cut until he tried this place. Needless to say, he and his dad have been getting regular cuts at Inglorious Barber. We've finally found barbers who listen to my son's style request. For some reason, many places aren't receptive to his opinion, I'm guessing due to his age. That's not the case here. He gets exactly what he asks for! Another major plus is they're very accommodating. My son had an appointment yesterday, but his after school activity ran long. No problem!!! We weren't charged for missing his appointment and they fit him in the very next day. The guys here are welcoming and obviously care about their clientele. Javier has been cutting my hair for many years now. Nothing but professional hair cuts across the board. As a natural born American man, I have no issues with the presence of good whiskey and gun magazines. Although I have a few tattoos myself, I am most certainly not a "tattoo and chain wallet" guy, yet I seem to fit in just fine, and have always been treated well by Javier, Brad, and a few of the others that have worked there for short stints. I find their prices to be well within the acceptable range for the service you get. The expanse of their clientele is quite impressive as well. I have seen everything from a 5 year old child, to a 95 year old man get their hair cut here. Not only do they provide these services, they also have great advice for products you can use that will suit your individual needs. This place is also visited often by first responder personnel evidenced by the police and firefighter patches displayed on the wall. As a cop myself, I know it can be somewhat tricky to find businesses in general that will treat you with respect without having to hide your identity. In closing, this is just a great barber shop to get a great cut and/or shave, and welcomes all walks of life. I would highly encourage you to give them a shot. read more

After a few years of cutting my own hair during the pandemic, I decided to venture out and get a cut at a barbershop. Picked this one because of the reviews. The guys were friendly enough, although they talked over me the whole time and didn't ask me any questions until near the end. And they started off the "conversation" by making it clear they thought the pandemic was fake. I couldn't get a word in edgewise, but whatever. Not a big deal. The haircut was ok. It was a decent barbershop cut. I'm not sure if any of the other reviewers have ever had a decent haircut at a barbershop, but it wasn't magic. It was...fine. I have no beef with it, except that maybe it's a little overpriced, but whatever. I don't have any major complaints about that. What I am confused about is how everyone is saying this is such a family friendly place. I'm sure they have good banter with the kids (hopefully they ask some questions and let the kids talk), but the vibes are not family friendly. First, there's a whole bar's worth of liquor bottles out in the open. There are gun magazines laying out everywhere, and lots of signage on the wall containing the F word (and mostly gun related). Wasn't sure if I was in a barbershop or a gun store. There's also pornographic material on the mini fridge, right at kid height (jokes about Kamala Harris with x rated words, etc.). I guess in Orange County that counts as a family place, lol. If you're into guns and you want your kids hanging around all this stuff, I guess this place is for you. But if you don't have tattoos or a chain wallet, and your kids haven't learned the F word yet, you might want to keep looking. ****UPDATE**** Hi Javier, thanks for your response. Just because someone thinks something is overpriced doesn't mean they can't afford it. I'm sure you're not the type of person to make fun of what someone can afford. When it comes down to it, this is all opinion. You said many families would disagree with mine, and you're absolutely right. I even indicated that in my review. The one fact is that I did visit, and you don't seem to believe that. You put the word "visit" in quotes, as if it didn't happen. I'm sorry you couldn't find my info, but it's disappointing that you're trying to discredit me personally instead of just sticking to the issues (even if to disagree). You said you encourage people to share their feedback with you so you can better accommodate them.
