Ricardo is truly a master. I have been to so many chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, doctors and all of those together don't come close to how much Ricardo has helped me. Before working together, I was waking up every day in pain. After becoming a mother, my back was in constant pain, with occasional knee and hip pain. After years, I had sort of resigned myself to the fact that I would just live with pain for the rest of my life. Once I started working with Ricardo, he helped me understand how my body and muscles should actually be functioning. He pays attention to the whole picture of how your body is working and helps retrain it. Sometimes we did exercises that I didn't think my body could physically execute. He is extremely patient and creative. If something isn't working, he finds another way to achieve the same result. Sometimes he would literally hold my knee in the right position while I did my lunges or squats etc. Slowly my body started to understand how my muscles should feel when doing certain exercises, or even just walking! With consistent stretching and working out, I am finally waking up and going about my day with almost no pain. And when I do feel discomfort, I know better how to treat it. I finally feel comfortable in my body again. I am so grateful I get to train with Ricardo and would recommend him 1000% read more

I've been with my trainer Elias for a couple years and we've been training at Infinity for a couple months. I really like the space, it's not crowded and you get to choose the music played on the speakers through the iPad. That's the best part for me, being able to choose what Playlist to listen to while your body goes through torture (I mean training!) read more

Great gym to work out with my trainer. It's very close to home (convenient location in Castro near Church stations). It has new equipment and everything that my trainer and I need. Not crowded like the larger gyms, so we're always able to work out and train without having to wait for equipment. read more

I made the move from a larger gym to ITC and haven't looked back! Ricardo and his staff are extremely personable and welcoming. My personal trainer, Mikel, has been a perfect fit for what I was looking to achieve! He flexibly tailors my training program to my lifestyle and encourages me even outside the gym! For example. when I had a goal to cut weight and gain muscle, Mikel created a daily program to fit this request, even if I was traveling or unable to make it to ITC! When my goals shifted, he was diligent about adjusting the program to focus more on building strength. I need an accountability partner to achieve goals (that often change), and Mikel facilitates data-driven programming that incorporates a foundation of positive reinforcement and accountability. Since starting with Mikel over a year ago (and after many previous personal trainers), I have finally learned proper technique for lifting! When so many health and fitness coaches lean on shame as motivation, Mikel adopts a growth mindset by meeting clients where they are at, largely focusing on reinforcing the process of fitness (however you choose to define it) and the effort they put forth. His approach is very refreshing and I have found that my perspective for getting to the gym has shifted away from motivation stemming from dislike for my body, to exercising because of how many amazing things it is capable of doing! read more

This is my favorite gym in San Francisco! Super new equipment that's easy to use and the cleanest environment to work out. The trainers are super knowledgeable and friendly too. read more

The first coach I contacted when I was ready to get back to training was Ricardo and immediately knew he would be the one to get me to my goals, a bikini competitor. In our first meeting I was content with his knowledge and kindness, not to mention a very clean gym. I was more impressed as I learned about his background . I leave our sessions feeling positive and encouraged. I like how he works with my schedule and his gym is appointment based so no one is ever in your way when working out and vice versa. read more

I've been training with Mikel for the past year and he is amazing!! Before I could barely get myself to workout more than once a week and I dreaded going to a gym full of people, but he actually makes it enjoyable and helps motivate me. Not only am I getting stronger than I ever thought possible, but my mental health has improved, my posture is better, I actually understand proper form and technique because of him. The training center is also great because you're getting a private space where you get one-on-one time and don't have to share equipment with anyone. I'm so grateful to Mikel and the studio for giving me confidence and helping me to form better habits, seriously you need to book with him!! read more

I've been training with Ricardo for over a year. I started with Ricardo at a larger fitness center before COVID and during COVID he trained me in my back yard. He recently opened his own fitness center in a good location with great equipment! Ricardo is a good motivator (both in terms of fitness, exercising and what to eat!) Slowly but surely I've lost about 15 pounds, decreased my body fat percentage , gained muscle, toned and decreased inches in all the key spots! I just went on a shopping spree and bought all new clothes! I'd highly recommend Ricardo! read more

I have been training with Ricardo for the past 5-6 years and have focused primarily on shoulder, hip rehab and overall strength. As a former soccer athlete and competitive body builder he focuses on functional movement. He customizes programs for each of his clients providing videos and weekly plans that are easy to follow even for the person starting out on their fitness journey. Ricardo's new studio, Infinity has been awesome - both centrally located in SF and has tons of equipment for 1:1 sessions! Huge fan! read more

My journey with ITC began last year when I decided to lose weight. Ricardo was extremely welcoming and assured me that he would help me meet my goals. He is super responsive to texts and trains you well. I dropped from 22% BF to ~16% BF and am looking forward to dropping even more. Definitely recommend giving it at least a 1-time try! read more

Ricardo was my trainer for a long time before I moved. He knew what my goals were, and we got results!! He is a great coach; patient, super smart, and a blast to work with. If I hadn't of moved I'd still be working with him. His attention to detail, creative and effective training style and attentiveness makes him a top notch fitness professional. I started training with Ricardo since the beginning of 2020. It was absolutely an amazing ride. Ricardo is the most experienced trainer I have ever had, and I stopped switching trainers after working with Ricardo. Through the journey of training with Ricardo, I was able to achieve my personal training goal for the first time in my life. Rocardo would break down my goal into small actions that are easy to follow along, and closely track my progress on a weekly basis. He also explained the theories behind each of those actions which I particular appreciate. After training with him for 2 years, I understand now how my body works, and have a lot better control in my body. I have confidence that I can change my body if I want to, which is a great feeling. read more

I recommend Ricardo to anyone looking for a trainer or a coach. I initially reached out to him because I was thinking about preparing for a competition, and he has experience training competitors. Since then, my goals have changed. As I work through postural, hormonal, and repetitive stress injuries, Ricardo has helped me build strength, reduce pain, and improve mobility. His background in nursing, sports, fitness competition, and bodywork make him effective at striking the right balance of training for function and aesthetics. read more

I've been going to Infinity and working with Ricardo for about 6 months. In the past, I dreaded working out. But now I look forward to my sessions with Ricardo. He knows when to push me. Ricardo is a life changer. If you're serious about changing your life for the best - Ricardo is your man. Over the past couple of years I've been experiencing a number of health related discomforts; however, trip to Urgent Care for excruciating hip related pain, was the final straw for me. I sought Ricardo's guidance in the gym and received so much more. Not only did he help to strengthen and tone my physical appearance; but he also added exceptional value to my mental and health and healing as well. I have never felt so comfortable and at ease with another trainer on the gym floor - one place where I feel at my most vulnerable. I have complete trust and faith in Ricardo and his training ability and knowledge. He is truly one-of-a-kind gentleman and I would highly recommend him to anyone!!! read more

I started working with Ricardo on April with the main goal of losing body fat without losing muscles. Over the course of 3-4 months my body fat percentage got dropped by 5.7%, I built more muscle mass and I'm in a much better shape. Ricardo is smart, patient, humble and very pleasant to work with. He has a solid knowledge of the mechanics of the body and has been immensely useful when it comes to knowing what areas need more development or attention, what areas need more stretching, etc. Not only that, he goes the extra mile to give you valuable advice and training for whatever matches your goals and your body state, from stretching and flexibility to diet to cardio. He also records each new workout with my phone and sends me the workout with the reps & weights used after which is helpful to focus on the workout during the training session. Highly recommend working with him! read more

Ricardo is an amazing coach, I admire him a lot! His sessions are fun, I like how he focuses on all the components of fitness; stretching, unique exercises, and diet. He has helped me with my flexibility and to improve my posture in each exercise. This is only one of his highlights. He alsoshows you videos of yourself and you both look at parts of your posture that you can improve for the future. This is helpful because it's hard to tell what your doing wrong when you don't have someone pointing it out, but in this case I can see exactly what I'm doing right or wrong. He always gives you tips to improve myself. With Ricardo I feel safe, motivated and comfortable. I can't imagine a better coach! read more

If I could give 100 stars I would!!! Ricardo is the most knowledgeable, caring, intelligent coach I've ever had the pleasure of working with. I worked with Ricardo for four years and in those four years I have learned so much. Ricardo saw me through some of my worst moments and picked me up and never let me fall. I worked through a hamstring injury, a hip injury, and a shoulder injury, and he was always there to help show me movements to strengthen those muscles as well as continue building the rest of my body. His dedication to his OWN body motivated me even more! He was constantly working on his own fitness and that made me trust him tenfold. I owe everything that I've ever learned about working out, nutrition, and leading a healthy lifestyle because of Ricardo. He is my hero. read more

Ricardo is a knowledgeable, dedicated, and engaging trainer who can work with any body type. I should know, as I was pretty hefty a few months ago, and our sessions have corresponded to my needs of the moment. Now my needs are less related to physical fitness and more along the lines of "wonderful girlfriend," but with Ricardo's help I've been able to conquer the flab in front of me and open up a world of possibility. read more

Ricardo's been my trainer for over a year now and I can't say enough great things about our work together. The majority of the exercises we do are unique working multiple muscles at once. It can be tough but definitely rewarding after each session. He comes into each session with plan to target different areas of your body to build strength and agility. He's also very in touch with healthy eating habits and stretching. Ricardo has really helped me achieve the leaner fit look I've been wanting. read more

It was my first time returning to the gym after an back injury. Ricardo was my personal trainer. He was super attentive, asked questions about my back, and vigilantly demonstrated the right exercises for me to follow after slowly he showed me how to do it. He stressed how form was so important and taught me how to keep a regular pace, breath correctly, and take a few breaks in between sets. Ricardo is knowledgeable, patient, punctual, and easy to work with. He allowed me to videotape, and he wrote it down every work out so I didn't forget I highly recommend him. read more

I've worked with Ricardo since November 2015. I was looking for a trainer that could help me finish physical rehabilitation for my ACL-torn knee and train for long distance running. When I started, I was a perpetual couch potato. Since then I have trained and ran for the SF half marathon without damaging my knee. I feel stronger and healthier overall. I look forward to working out with him every week because he's fun to train with, diligent, knowledgeable, and positive. He's perceptive about how much he can push you and how much to pull back. No amount of "thank you"'s can suffice for what he's done for me. read more

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. When I first met Ricardo this was me please see the first picture. Today I look like this see the second picture. When I first met Ricardo I was fat, out of shape, and lacked confidence. From 2010 through today I attribute my new body, my workout success, and my control of my eating to the countless hours Ricardo has spent with me pushing me to grow and encouraging my positive attributes and discouraging bad habits. As an ER nurse on the night shift, I thought I understood nutrition. However, I could never lose weight and constantly craved unhealthy foods and alcohol. Ricardo helped me with his holistic approach. Not only did he push me to work out, but he helped my mental capacity to train myself how to eat better. Since 2010 there have been ups and downs in life and many changes, however, Ricardo's expertise, professionalism, integrity, and encouragement have never ceased. When I think of Ricardo I often am amazed at his ability to identify and then train the parts of me I needed whether it was nutrition, rehabilitation, bulking, shredding, or mental acceptance. Truly when you work with Ricardo you will get every dollar spent back. I would not be where I am today without the support and training Ricardo has given me. Today I feel and look great. I have never received as much attention as I do now. I crave working out and would rather go to the gym than the bar! All I can say is thank you Ricardo, you have helped make my dreams come true!!!!!! read more

I've worked with Ricardo for almost four years and plan to for many more. His clients range from professional body builders to regular people who count "no bacon" as a healthy choice, and I'm more on the bacon end of things. He can work with you to become one of the body builders, and it's great to have the option to customize my sessions when my fitness goals change. Our first session was an assessment of where I was, my then-current fitness goals, and several stretches that immediately decreased some longstanding pain. Since then, he's shown the same sensitivity to my capacity and goals over almost four years. He has a plan for each session, but he's completely flexible if it needs to be changed up. He's also given excellent nutrition and lifestyle advice in tandem with our workouts. He's personable, extremely professional, communicative, and a pleasure to work with. Most importantly, he comes with the right mix of supportive, encouraging, and pushing that makes every session positive. read more

I've worked out with several trainers over the years and Ricardo is clearly among the best. He is extremely professional and committed to his clients. He clearly understands the body and how to get the best results. Unlike many trainers who have a set program, or a one size fits all approach, Ricardo tailors his workouts to my specific needs/wants (which are often changing). I feel lucky to have found Ricardo. Working out with him has been great and I'm in the best shape of my life. read more

Ricardo is top shelf, in every respect. My physical health has steadily improved over the years we have worked together, in a sustainable and enjoyable way. He has regularly changed his approach, building off and beyond our progress, adjusting to changes in my life, scheduling, and constantly refreshing my fitness experience. Beyond his substantive knowledge and talent, Ricardo is a terrific teammate, positive and professional. I'm struggling (and failing) to find anything that he could do better. read more
