One of my clients currently resides there, so I have an intimate knowledge of the operations at the facility. My client, who has Alzheimer's is happy, healthy and well cared for. The home is beautifully appointed, large and homey. In addition to that, you will not meet a more caring and competent staff. Daniel, the owner, takes pride in personally knowing about both the resident and their family to personalize their stay. The staff is on top of all medical and psycho-social needs and alerts me with any type of change in condition. Placing a loved one in an assisted living facility is a very hard thing to do. Elegant Senior Living is as close to being at home, as you can get. Go take a look and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

We toured his Encino home and would have loved to place her there as it is well maintained and caring, but it was full. We didn't have the luxury of time so Daniel provided us other places we looked at. We found a great place for my grandma very quickly. Daniel listened to our needs and our vision for her and found the right place for us. He has kept in touch after her move to make sure she is well and we are happy. I highly recommend Daniel and his services. He knows this industry and can guide you during a difficult time.

Instead they accept the bullying malignant narcissism of a family member who falsified documents thru my Dad's healthcare claiming he was sole caregiver after my father was diagnosed by those same medical professionals months prior. They have continued to ignore requests to stop interfering in our family matters and have acknowledged repeatedly that they are required to speak with all members of the family. But and I have had to remove my Dad in order to get them to follow my Dad's care plan. Not worth the time, grief or headache. The majority of staff is combative and they seem only interested in how they will get paid. Do not have your loved ones cared for by Dependable Care! This company is a scam. Teri Lieberman,…read more(The owner) at first comes off as friendly and caring but is the complete opposite. She is money hungry and arrogant. Little did my family know this would turn into a nightmare. We hired this company and the first caregiver was horrible. She went through my Grandmothers phone and personal items continually. After months of working with our family things started to come up missing, money, jewelry, food, clothing etc. We did not confront her about it because we had no evidence or even think it was her. My grandmother was rushed to the hospital where she spent a few days. The caregiver tried to show up each day and stay. After asking several times that she leave and trying to be as polite as possible I told her that she will not be paid for the days she continues to come to the hospital because there is no reason for her to be there the nurses can take care of her until she is home. This Caregiver became very disrespectful. She thought that she would not get paid for that week being that my grandmother was taken by ambulance to the hospital on Friday the day she should have been paid, so she proceeded to go up to the hospital several days harassing my grandmother (while sick) about when she would be getting her money for 1 week. I assured her that she would get her money to just give us a few days. The caregiver came to the house after the hospital stay, (she is paid) and my grandmother is under the impression that the caregiver is going to change her out of her hospital gown, feed her and help her situate. She tells my grandmother she quits and leaves her wet, hungry and without anyone to help her. The very next day we find out from the banks that several credit cards had been charged and her ID, her father's ring and several other items were missing. Again we did not know if it was her and with Terri texting and calling us reassuring that this employee would never steal anything. We decided to go ahead with another caregiver. This caregiver came out and worked with my grandmother for another few months. After a couple months, the caregiver told us that she was quitting Dependable care. She advised that it may be cheaper for Grandma because she would no longer have to pay a fee to the facility. I confirmed with the caregiver.Another few months went by and the caregiver began to call out multiple times. Mostly Fridays (After being paid) I had to take off of my full-time job several times in order to help. What started off as one day a week became anywhere from 3 to 4 days a week of her calling out. About four months later, I receive two bill from Dependable Care, both bills over $1000 each. I text Mrs. Teri, politely to find out exactly what the charges were for and how we could go about fixing this. Teri proceeded to immediately become defensive. She rudely stated that my grandmother knows very well that the caregiver has been working for Dependable care. She also stated and I quote: this is between you and your grandma" I replied "You sent the bill so it's not between Grandma and I".... She refused to have an intelligent or intellectual conversation to break down the bill and what the charges were for. I then let her know that I would be reaching out to Better Business Bureau. She stated that she "does not care". The very next day Teri pulls the caregiver without notice, she told my grandmother's second caregiver not to show up to help her anymore. Again, I was forced to leave work to care for her without notice. A single mother on one source of income. One day after this happened again we find out that my grandmother's American Express had charges from several vendors. My grandmother being bedridden and unable to drive or do anything for herself, had her American Express charges for places like 76 gas station, shell gas station,7/11, subway and even charges from a foreign country. Next a check was written to Dependable care just the month before, as I mentioned above, we were under the impression that the employee was no longer working for Dependable care, and my grandmother had not written anymore checks to dependable care within the past four months. We reported to the bank and come to find out the check was forged by the caretaker. I am writing all of this in hopes that no one else will suffer the way that my grandmother and our family has. Shame on you all. Opening page states that you are honest and friendly you need to stand by this. Teri Lieberman, and at least the two caregivers that we interacted with are con- artist. Please, if your loved ones need a caregiver please research the facility you're using before you choose. And make sure you have cameras because these caregivers lie steal and do not hold up to the company standards. Then the managers or directors of the company back them up 100%. And because our elderly ones are not as sharp as they used to be, they are the ones that suffer.

"It is our mission to provide quality, reliable compassionate and affordable care to our clients."…read more None of this is true. When my father was hospitalized for a blood infection in December of last year, part of his release required at home care. A daunting task to say the least for any child of an elderly parent, especially around the holidays. It was relayed to the company that my father has bouts of confusion, a high risk of falling, issues with using the restroom/showering on his own, cooking meals, and driving.... Due to this, the cost was (in my opinion) extremely high.... But what choice did we have on such short notice? The company had a minimum hours per day of 6 and a minimum of 4 days per week at $37 an hour. Which is much more than we thought we needed. They required us to sign a 3 week contract. Short on time and options before his release, we signed the contract. The first day, they sent a care giver who had no car, and barely spoke English... when I got home from work, I was horrified to hear that my father had not eaten that day, did not receive his medication, and was unable to pick up his prescriptions from the pharmacy due to the care giver only having a bus pass as transportation... I called 1heart who said they would "send someone new tomorrow". They did not offer a reasonable apology, a refund/credit, or even a discount for that day... nothing. Just a "we'll send someone new tomorrow". The next day, they sent a new caregiver, who showed up on foot.... I was blown away. I spoke with the caregiver over the phone who stated that she only lived a mile away and chose to walk due to the company not communicating to her the need for my dad to have transportation. She actually was a very sweet lady and walked home to get her car to take my father to the pharmacy. Two hours later, I get a call from her stating that my dad had fallen at the local CVS. She was unaware of his fall risk due to the company not communicating my fathers care needs. She did not have his walker with them due to her car being a two seater... Again, I was extremely upset by this. All of this was explicitly communicated to 1heart before signing the contract. A week later, he was taken to the urgent care and given an x-ray that showed multiple broken ribs from the fall. What did 1heart offer for this when questioned? Not an apology (certainly not a discount), but a handwritten "incident report" on a lined sheet of paper from the care giver explaining the fall.... Zero concern or accountability. The bottom line is, 1heart does not provide quality, affordable, compassionate, or reliable anything... choose another company/agency.

He takes initiative when appropriate, but is not pushy or hovering. I have the feeling that the help he provides now, will change as my husband's needs increase. They have a wonderful administrative staff that's easy to get ahold of and pleasant to deal with. We are finally in good hands and I don't need to worry about my parents being taken care of properly.
