They have so many chocolate options and gift ideas in store Truffles and bar is good. Chocolate is smooth and bar contain plenty of toppings. Truffles have a good balance of sweetness pair with melt in your mouth filling. They do use soy lecithin in their chocolate. It helps with quality control. But high end chocolate not supposed to have that.

If you can't find Pete at Eastern Market, I've also found the cocoas at the Shinola stores and at the Pewabic store downtown.

I enjoy finding hidden gems on Yelp. An excellent small business like Mrs. Mason's deserves more attention. Mrs. Mason's specializes in handmade premium brittle and brittle bonbons. The owner was the only person when I visited on a Sunday morning. She gave me samples, and everything I tried in Mrs. Mason's brittle and bonbon collection was delicious, crunchy, and buttery. I bought an 8 oz. gift box of Heart & Soul Brittle ($26.95) for my college professor. I also purchased an 8 oz. bag of Bare-Naked Cashew Brittle ($22.95) for my mom. They both thought the brittle was delicious. A bit pricey, but it makes an excellent gift for anyone who likes brittle or bonbons.

The brittle has a nice thicker layer of the toffee, two layers of the white chocolate as well as the semi-sweet chocolate. It's a nice balance of crunchy hard toffee and melt in your mouth chocolates. Makes for a fantastic holiday gift and treat for friends and family alike. The smaller 4 ounce is great to accompany a charcuterie gift set or a stocking stuffer too.

Man oh MAN do I love the candy apples here…read more Yes, it's upsetting that you cannot order them ahead of time (it seems crazy to me that they don't have a 24 or 48 hour advance order ahead of time system, particularly when nearing the holiday season), but that aside, the employees here are ALWAYS chipper. The selection of candy apples and other chocolate treats are astounding, and going in and out has always been (knock on wood) expeditious.
