This is a cute little boutique shop. So glad we came in. We had to call in because we couldn't tell how late we would be for our appointment coming in from our 41/2 hour drive. When we called, Brenda answered the phone and was very reassuring that we were closer than we thought. Once we arrived we were greeted warmly and with smiles. Lindsay and Alexis performed our manicures and pedicures. They were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Talking to them as we received our very needed services was easy. Several times in the process I had to pause and just take in the moment. It's been awhile with the COVID limitations that had been in place but our vacation spa treatment had begun. The environment was clean and orderly with lots of little doodads out for shopping cute trinkets. Following our services we stepped into the lobby and had cocktails while our polishes dried. This was a very pleasant experience so we booked a return visit for our return to Galena in the fall. read more

I have been trying to call for a few days last week and today, but nobody was answering the phone. Finally, someone answered the phone today. After hearing the usual "how may I help you?" I said "Good afternoon" and there was just a silence. I said "Hello?" to which the lady responded "yes, I can hear you." So I said " I just said 'good afternoon.'" Silence. Our experience with Indulge Salon was a disaster! The wedding party had their hair styled with 3 stylist who had no idea what they were doing. A few girls had to have their hair redone 2-3 times. My husband took me here for some pampering on our 1-year wedding anniversary. I had a manicure and then we went for a couples massage. The manicurist was WONDERFUL. Very friendly, professional, and did a great job! The spa itself is in a hotel, and is the most reasonably priced spa in town! The decor is modern and lovely. The waiting area is very cozy and filled with comfy seating, books, drinks, snacks, etc. We were the only people in the spa at the time of our appointment, so we had the whole place to ourselves! The massage room was just a room down the hall and it had a nice ambience to it. My husband had a female (blonde hair) masseuse and I had a male (European descent). Come see Marie for a deep tissue massage! She was amazing and really listened to you. I told her where I was sore and she paid extra attention to those areas. She was in tune with what was going on and released a lot of tension. I could have spent another hour on the table with her. The spa itself is in the back of a Ramada Inn, which may seem strange, but they take you to a treatment room with nice lighting and soothing music. Marie used some relaxing oils on me (this is an Aveda salon so everything smells amazing) and it was like being in a different world altogether. I highly recommend it! read more

Nice location - some friendly staff - clean and cruelty free products which is wonderful! Booked this place for wedding party on my wedding day. They took all the bridesmaids first, and treated them all nicely. I, the bride, had three people work on my hair. The first girl was too nervous to do my hair and quit half way through. The second lady continued on my hair then passed it off to a third lady. The third lady completed my hair and finished it nicely. Thank you!! For the makeup, once all my bridesmaid had their makeup done, it was my turn. When I came out from the waiting room, the makeup station was closed up and the girl working the station was gone. When I asked the front desk where she was, the girl who did the makeup was in the back. I told her I still needed my makeup done and she didn't even know I was the bride. She reopened her station, and did a very quick job, she also didn't seem too thrilled to have to reopen. Sad part is - I had gone in for a test makeup trial a month earlier and had this appointment set up just like my test run with the same girl. I wouldn't recommend this place for a bridal appointment. Went here for a girls spa day and although the ladies working were nice and even gave us a discount for our group and allowed us to bring wine, the service and quality were still not worth the money. They got us all in and out in their estimated time frame. I don't think my grand manicure was the full length of time estimated and the hand massage wasn't all that great. When they were finished with our services, they just left the room without saying anything, which was a little odd. I got a "no chip" gel manicure, and needless to say, it is not no chip. Two days later and the manicure was already peeling off!! I won't be going back, especially since the gel manicure only lasted 2 days, but at least the experience itself wasn't too bad. Update: It's been 5 days and nearly all of my nails are peeling! I'm regretting that I didn't just get a regular manicure at this point since the gel manicure is no better. I recommend you spend your money elsewhere at a higher quality salon if you want a gel manicure that will last the 2+ weeks that it should last. read more

On a Friday morning my 3 friends and I made an appointment for mani/pedis and massages for the follow day. Later that same Friday we called the spa to change our appointment to 4 one hour massages and cancel the mani/pedis. The lady on the phone said it would be no problem and scheduled our 4 massages for 11am Saturday. Saturday morning we show up and the Spa. It takes a few minutes for someone to greet us. We were asked to wait in the lobby of the hotel where a manager later met us. She explained that 2 of us would get serviced at 11am and the other 2 at 12pm. I respectfully explained that our appointment was for 4 massages at 11am. In a nasty voice she answered that we changed our appointment last minute and this is what she has available. I turned to my friends and said that I was ok to not have a massage and I can wait for them in town by the shops. The manager interrupted and said I had to get a service because we made an appointment. Let me point out that I am a professional and very respectful to others. I turned to her and in a kind voice I said "ma'am I'm sorry but when we changed our appointment yesterday, the person on the phone should have clearly communicated that she could not accommodate 4 massages at 11am. I own my own business and would make sure my customers understood I let them off the phone." This manager put her hand up 3 inches from my face and said "YOU CAN LEAVE! The other 3 of you can get services if you want" and immediately walked away. I was shocked. In my entire life I have never had someone talk to me that way or put their hand in my face. I was too shocked to respond or follow her. We just got up and left. I've never felt so disrespected and discriminated. I honestly do feel she treated us this way because we are of Hispanic decent. I carry all my stress in my shoulders / upper back and while Marie spent more time in this area, she did not neglect other areas. Marie was great -- professional and friendly. My cousin and I came to Galena for a getaway and decided to treat ourselves to a pedi. Since we were staying at the Ramada we went to talk to the women at the desk in the spa. They explained the different types of pedicures and we made an appointment for the next morning. We opted for the grand pedicure which was explained to be better because of that leg and foot massage and the extra care on calluses. We were told around 45 minutes. Upon arrival we were taken into the pedicure room and left soaking for over 10 minutes. This was a basic pedicure with a minimal massage. We were finished in less than 40 minutes and that included soaking for over 10. So basically we received the basic pedicure but pay the additional money for the grand. I certainly wish I had read the other reviews before we booked because we could've driven elsewhere in town. read more

Highly recommend! There has been only one other person who has been able to cut my hair correctly. I usually go to my appointment early just to sit in peace and quiet. The facials are my favorite and during the head and neck massage, points are triggered that relieves the pain of my chronic headaches. STAY AWAY!!!! My cousin and I like to take trips to Galena for a girls weekend. This time, however, we were able to come during the week. No one else was being serviced. My cuz decided on a deep tissue massage and I opted for a pedi. Both bad choices. The deep tissue has now left my cuz so bruised on her backside, she looks like someone had beat her up or was in an accident! My pedi could have been done at home much better. First of all the nails were cut so short that its a wonder they are no bleeding. Secondly, paid for 45 min pedi and it took less than 1/2 hr. Problems with payment also. Certain debit cards won't work on their machine if you wish to add gratuity and they prefer not to bother with it so asked for different payment. Just be warned. last review as 2 years ago and they must have really gone DOWN. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and go to Eagle Ridge for some real pampering. read more

The lady who did my massage didn't even introduce herself to me. The massage room was not relaxing at all. Too much light, freezing and the massage table was very uncomfortable.
