Wow! I simply cannot put into words the incredible experience we had from start to finish. My husband (fiancé at the time) wanted to get a custom tux for our wedding. Upon reading articles online a lot pointed us in the direction of Indochino. The convenience of them being in Santa Monica was a huge plus as well. Parking was very easy as there are several parking structures for the mall. Upon entry we were greeted by Shayna, who was the most incredible person to work with. She explained how the entire process works for choosing a tux and was with us every step of the way. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the options so I took a step back but she worked with my husband going through all the details, big or small. Upon receiving the tux some of the pieces didn't quite fit correctly (very minimal) but her incredible customer service kicked in again! She was able to reorder some items and then do alterations on others. She did not let us walk out with the tux unless everything was exactly PERFECT! I truly cannot rave enough about her incredible service. She was sincere and thoughtful and cares so much about how a suit and tux looks on someone buying it. Skip this location! This location has been terrible to work with. It is extremely understaffed and it's unlikely that you'll end up working with the same person throughout your experience. Their voicemail is routinely full, they do not return messages when left, the office is often dark during posted open business hours and even during appointments they are double and triple booked so you will be fighting for help The entire time. I first came in a few months prior to my wedding this summer to be fitted for a tuxedo for my wedding, blue suit for our rehearsal, a number of shirts and accessories (tie, studs, pocket squares, etc.). The delays and communication were so bad that I ended up handily renting a tuxedo for my wedding from a local shop and that ended up saving my wedding! I am still trying to work through sizing and fabric issues and will go into the new year without most of my items fitting correctly! The staff I started working with earlier this year have all left likely due to the extreme understaffing of this location! Alterations and remade items had the wrong liner fabric from the jacket and vest, sleeves were crooked, measured lengths came back shorter instead of longer, all of my shirt sleeves cut off my circulation.. After all of the problems at this location due to the understaffing I am forced to try finding a different location to resolve all of these problems. Having the same person or people to work with throughout this process would be a huge help however this location is just a recipe for frustration and there hasn't been a single saturation which has appeared to care about ruining my wedding plans out how this first experience with indochino has been in general. We made an appointment for today at 5PM , and me and my husband with 2 kids , we got into the store and waited a little and the sale said they are running a little behind asked if we could wait 30 mins. We said okay and we understood, so we came back after 30 mins. When we got in , there was another sale this time , we waited for so long , he was serving another guest at the same time who didn't even make an appointment , we were okay at first and while waiting , our two little kids , one 3 year old and 1.5 year old started getting fussy , they were hungry and tired. Which is so ridiculous to me, we understood they were behind , and when it get to us, we were not being served . That to me is racism! He made me feel so comfortable and at ease when designed my suit for my wedding. He was extremely detailed in all the measurements he took and was just fun and easy to work with. I purchased a "custom" suit for my nephew to wear for his wedding from the Indochino store located in Santa Monica. All was going well, we liked what was presented and proceeded with the purchase. At the first fitting, the sleeves and pants were too short and the pants legs were too wide. At the second fitting, one of the sleeves was too short and one of the pant legs too short. The manager helping us said they looked fine to him so I asked for a tape measure and measured each sleeve and leg and sure enough, one leg and one sleeve was shorter than the other by at least half an inch! At the third fitting (which I did not attend), one of the pants leg was burnt/ripped. The same manager told my nephew that he would put a rush to get another pair of pants which were to arrive a week before his wedding! The pants did not come. The manager who had been helping us was now unavailable to speak with us. I was told by the acting manager that the manager would call me the next day. I expressed concern about time being of the essence since we're now less than a week for the wedding. Having not received a call, I called back and again asked for the manager. The acting manager called the manager who told him to tell us to have the groom wear the pants as no one would see the burn/rip!!! I asked for a refund and was told I'd only get a refund for the pants. I reminded him that this "custom" suit was for a wedding! I asked to speak to a 'higher up' manager but was only given a first name and no number! My nephew ended up having to wear the "custom" suit due to lack of time to get another. For a "custom" suit and for it to be worn at a wedding, this was a horrible experience and there was nothing "custom" about it. To add insult to injury, I never received a return call from the manager or the manager's manager. I was fitted for my wedding and while the experience went well, the store ordered the wrong shirt (a shirt I had never once discussed with the associate). I called the store to fix this issue and was told that a manager is the only one who can assist and that I would be called in an hour. Two days later, no call and when I tried to call the store now, Chris hung up on me and took the phone off the hook. Will absolutely never recommend this place to anyone. Walked in to this SM location, the floor staff was assisting other men with suits so I patiently waited and browsed with my fiancée. This guy stopped by asked 1 question on what we were in for, I mentioned I was here looking for a wedding suit, he mentioned the 2 best seller fabrics,1 of which is currently unavailable (no name?), the other being the harrogate (which is what I was initially excited to see and learn more about!) I was mid sentence and the guy walked away sat down on his stool and got on his phone. Took that as my cue to leave.... I'll keep it short and sweet-- the fit looked absolutely horrible. My fiancé looked worse in the suit than in his casual clothing. I later took a look at the photos from all the other reviews-- almost all the fits look god awful! The worker who did the fitting/measuring for us refused to accept that the fit looked bad and that he needed to fix it. On top of that, he completely lost his cool on my mom who offered him some very reasonable and respectable suggestions about it. Very unprofessional behavior that involved raising his voice and avoiding any responsibility for his mistakes. The Santa Monica location happens to be the closest one to us so my fiance and I made an appointment to look for his wedding tuxedo. Simon greeted us with minimal energy and simply showed us two designs to choose from. When asked if there were more samples, he said no. That's it. No reason, no alternatives - just no. Simon made no effort to understand what we were looking for. He made no effort to close a sale. He seemed exasperated once he heard we were looking for a tux and not a suit and honestly made us feel worse for even asking. Terrible customer service. Terrible energy. Terrible all around. Wow, second try with Indochino ordering a suit for a friend's wedding. The fit is terrible (again). After retaking measurements to fix the poor fit of the suit from a few years back, sending photos, and jumping through all the hoops to get the measurements changed with customer service (which is a huge pain). Good luck trying to book an appointment in person to take measurements as they're booked out for weeks/months in advance. Indochino just takes you're measurement numbers and sends them over to an overseas factory. Quality control seems to be (from my experience and a few more reviews) really poor. It's almost they take a measurements and send them to the factory where someone has lost their tape measure and just eyeballs it. It's insane. Once you get your poorly fitting items, good luck trying to find how to file a claim on their never ending maze-of-doom website, as the customer service phone line has been discontinued, the chat function doesn't work, and no on responds to your emails. It's like they know that it doesn't matter how terrible the clothes come out, if theres no customer service avenue to address the issue, they still collect their $100s and don't have to do a thing. If you're planning a wedding I highly recommend against using Indochino, the clothes come out looking terrible and you'll lose your mind trying to deal with them. NEVER AGAIN read more

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE! I have never written a negative review before, but felt obligated to after my horrible experience. I purchased 2 custom suits and after already returning them for alterations, the sleeves were still 2-3 inches too short. When I requested additional alterations, they refused to alter the suits any further. After they were unable to cite a single policy that I had broken to justify this decision, I became a little suspicious. So, I took the suits to 3 different local tailors, and sure enough, they all confidently informed me that the suits were UNABLE TO BE FIXED - the original measurements were too far off and not enough material was left to make them fit. Two of the tailors even told me that they "get messed up suits from Indochino all the time." So, now I am left with 2 "custom" suits that are literally unwearable and Indochino refuses to do anything about it. On top of all of this, the "district manager" Shayna was very unprofessional and even attempted to lie to me about a discussion that was never had. After contacting Customer Experience, their only solution was to reroute me directly back to the employee I had an issue with - a very inappropriate response if you ask me. Since having this experience, I have come across multiple people who have had similar run-ins with this company. This is something I wish I knew ahead of time, and is the reasoning behind the making of this review. I made an appointment online and spent over an hour with Elliot who was personable and had deep knowledge of the never-ending options available when you take the time to customize your suit to your size and preferences. I purchased 3 suits and 5 shirts and felt as though I had over 100 choices and preferences to meet my style and needs. Just do yourself and favor and skip it. Mind you this is all for my best friend's wedding (I was in the wedding party and giving a toast): Suit arrived, and it wasn't even close to fitting. Not as in "well, I like a more slim fit and this was a little baggy." No. The pants were huge, the jacket sleeves were four inches too short. It was an absolute joke. "No worries," I thought. "I'll take it here to get altered!" Store called me once my alterations were done...after a month...and I unzipped the garment bag at home to realize that NOTHING HAD BEEN ALTERED! All of the pins, needles, chalk marks were still in the pants/jacket! I took it back the next day. I was called a few days after that to come pick it up. Guess what! THE ALTERATIONS STILL WEREN'T DONE! This time, I had no time to take it BACK IN FOR A THIRD TIME because I was flying out to the wedding the next morning. Customer service is a joke. I doubt I will ever hear back from them. And there is no central help line -- you are left to the devices of a chat bot. The employees working were nice enough, but I honestly feel like I'm getting Punk'd. The worst part is this will absolutely ruin my friend's wedding photos. I called this location after being a customer at a different location to get my previous, recent measurements. Tonya (who refused to spell her name for me) the store manager answered, I simply said, "Hi Tonya, is there anyway you can provide me my measurements", she replied, with an attire: no I can not. I chuckled, assuming she was being facetious because I just got off of a call with Glendale (the location I normally patron) and they confirmed they will but they were swamped and I needed these measurements immediately. She then began to give me reasons why she could not provide my measurements and then asked if I was going to another vendor. I said yes I am, but I only just need the waist and up measurements. She then asked for my name and email and then proceeded to look up my account. I'm assuming she was looking them up to send them, but nope, she then explained to me again on why measurements are different at each retailer and because I needed previous alterations. I explained alterations were only for the shirt and pants, my jacket fit me perfectly. But I was met with was more hesitation to give measurements. Awkward silence, then I asked again, directly, can you provide them or not. She then proceeded to tell me how she didn't appreciate how I talked to her initially (comical) and rushed through providing measurements with more condescending tones. The whole interaction was extremely dissatisfying and unprofessional. I just wish after brining business to Indochino and having such a great interaction with all the other stores I visited, including Glendale, San Diego and having my groomsmen go to the store in Phoenix this one interaction won't sour my overall experience. My suggestion would be to never ever go to this store unless you enjoy brash and rude customer service. This is no reflection of the brand or the suits but specific to this store and treatment. Not sure if it's the company or just this store but they descriminate against people and kids of special needs. I took my son there to get a suit for his dad and my wedding a month ago. The two reasons we did this were: 1. it had a 2-3 week turn around time for custom suits and 2. it is custom and my son can't fit into regular suits. My fiancé and dad went first to be fitted and then we took my son. We made an appointment and he was measured and we paid. Measurement was a bit challenging as he is physically, developmentally, and mentally delaiyed. He also is on medication for one of his disabilities that causes weight retention and makes losing weight difficult. We knew we would need to go custom made for him as he is short and round. We also had to save up meaning we were two months out from the wedding when getting fitted. Leaving the store we felt fine and were assured no issues. Two weeks later my fiancé and fathers suits both arrived. They are definitely in need of the tailoring that is promised with the suit but they arrive. A week and a half pass (my sons appointment was the day after his dads) and no sign or call from the store. We called and were told there had been a mistake in measurements and they would place the order that day (four and a half weeks from our wedding). We requested to speak with the manager and we're told to call the next day. When speaking to the manager we were told we would need to receive a refund in a week or two as they "could not make his suit with the measurements of our son". I asked how this was possible as it is a custom suit and was told "the distributors won't make it as they use certain templates and making them to our sons measurement wouldn't look good" and that they won't make it. This is where my issue falls. Either they can't make it because the suits we are spending thousands of dollars on to be custom made are indeed not custom or they won't make it because my special needs son will make their brand look bad..... we are trying to get a return on the other suits but they say they can't as they are "custom" but are they? Either way this place is a disaster. Trying to be high class but showing true gutter colors. Would give zero stars if possible TLDR: wouldn't (or couldn't as suits may not actually be custom despite cost?) make a custom suit to fit my special needs son who isn't "normal" measurements. My fiancé and I have had a terrible time trying to rent suits at mens warehouse for his groomsmen for our upcoming wedding. And a mediocre experience so far with Black Tux for the suit rentals. So we were honestly kind of dreading this appointment and trying to find him a good tux to purchase for the wedding. We made an appointment, arrived and were helped right away, and our attendant Jacob was amazing! (Unlike Men's Wearhouse where we made an appointment, confirmed the appointment, arrived and had to wait for 10+ minutes and ask multiple people to help us before getting help, because we were told that they don't take appointments.....) Our appointment did take the full hour, probably because Jacob was kind enough to take the time to walk through every customization with us and show us examples when we wanted to see the different options in person before deciding.
