Wow. This is a little oasis in the middle of town. I recommend sitting outside. You'll feel like you're on an island vacation! The menu is huge with a large selection so it's almost difficult to pick. But, everyone at our table was more than happy with their choices. The curry is particularly delicious. Will definitely return!!

This egg roll should have never left the kitchen!!

We were regulars when we lived here. The last time we ate here was 2023 while on vacation. This vacation we ate here again. When our appetizers came out I was shocked to see that one of the Egg Rolls was BLOWN OUT on one side and BURNT BLACK. Whoever was working EXPO never should have let it leave the kitchen. This could have been the start to a very bad dining experience. Our AMAZING WAITRESS GRACIE saved the day. The Pad Thai with Chicken and the Massaman Curry with Shrimp was just as tasty, and full of flavor as we remembered. Of course! The Mango Sticky Rice topped off what turned out to be an excellent meal. Just keep your eye on that Expo and make sure they do their job properly.

The wait is a bit long but there's a bar in the back with seating as well as a gift shop. The food is fantastic, I got a pad see ew and the appetizer sampler. The chicken satay and the crab angels are definitely stand outs. The drinks are great, the portions are good, and the wait staff is very friendly and prompt.

I've heard so much about Indochine in Wilmington--between TikTok and word of mouth, the hype is real. I tried to go on Valentine's Day but the 2-hour wait was a no, so I was excited to finally experience it. The ambiance is beautiful--colorful, cozy, and it really makes you feel like you've stepped somewhere special. The service was great as well--attentive and even had a bit of humor, which made the experience more enjoyable. We started with the sampler appetizer, which was perfect for two and a great way to try a variety of items. For my main, I went with the tom yum soup to save room for dessert, but it fell a bit short--flavor was mild and the portion was smaller than expected for an entrée. My husband ordered the Happy Asian Melody, which was good--fresh ingredients, generous portion, just a bit heavy on the sauce. Now the highlight--the coconut cake absolutely lived up to the hype. Moist, flavorful, and not overly coconutty. Paired with the coconut ice cream, it was the perfect ending. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it. It's a nice spot with great ambiance and dessert, but with so many places to explore, I'm not in a rush to return just yet.

Let me start off by saying this is usually my favorite restaurant to go out and take people to over in Wilmington. It's got such an incredible atmosphere and is so beautiful on the outside. With the koi ponds and the unique design and everything. It's definitely a little tide getting inside the restaurant, parking is pretty rough and hallways always seem really tight, but I guess it makes it super home style? Either way, I ordered a number of different dishes Family style form, and it was really good! The presentation was wonderful! My server did a great job, it definitely felt like he was going out of his way to take care of us and I was definitely a fan. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like the restaurants or other people set each other up for success. For example, there are an incredible amount of flies and mosquitoes in the summer, and if you eat outside then you know you're going to be crowded by them. Our fly swatter rotator thing ended up dying a quarter way through dining experience, so we asked the people at the bar to use theirs and they said that someone else will take care of us and it felt very uncomfortable. It didn't seem to be that they were using it for anything, but we asked our server about it and he said that they're all in use. And we asked him to use the one at the bar and then he went out of his way to get it for us. I feel like that shouldn't happen, they should push for client experience overall and prioritize that since they're able to just cover up whatever they had at the bar anyways, it was a great experience, food could have been better and more flavorful but I understand I also went out of the busy time

Such an amazing experience. When we arrived, the main parking lot was full. There is another parking area that was available to park in..so needless to say there is ample parking. We thought that we would have to wait a long time considering the amount of people waiting to be seated. Our wait was only about 30 minutes. During our wait time, I visited the little gift shop next door. So cute, so quaint. I bought some beginners chopsticks because I am still horrible at using regular ones. Fast forward 30 minutes, we got a text advising us that our table was ready. By the way, ALL of the staff was just so nice and friendly. We ordered the appetizer sampler. It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Everything was cooked to perfection.. .so flavorful..so good...so tasty. The little greedy person inside of me wishes that I could have eaten it by myself lol. We also got a side order of pork eggrolls...amazing! And we shared a of Pad Kii Mao. OMG so good....so good! Whenever I am in Wilmington, I will most definitely be back to try other authentic dishes from Indochine. Great experience!

Everything was excellent. The pork egg rolls were amazing, although the wasabi turned the inside of my nose crispy. We split the Pad Thai, which was also delicious. Since we ate inside, we walked around the garden in the back. Incredible place. We have a new favorite.

My cousin and brother came to visit from out of town! I was so excited for them to see this amazing side of the city. The outdoor seating is just incredible, it's like being transported to Indonesia right here in Wilmington. I didn't manage to snap photos of all the delicious dishes we devoured because we were too caught up in conversation and enjoying the food. But seriously, if you haven't been there yet, you absolutely must go - it's a solid 10 out of 10 all around. The lively atmosphere really enhanced the flavors of each dish, and we had such a great time reminiscing and creating new memories together. Every bite was a delightful surprise, taking us on a culinary journey far from our daily routines. And as the sun set, the twinkling lights above us added a magical touch to our evening. It was one of those nights that reminded us of the happiness good food and good company can bring.

Like everybody else on this app and on Instagram, I would totally recommend for a delicious lunch or dinner. There is a variety of food, but it is not overwhelming and you really can't go wrong with anything you order. I recently got turned onto the. Tom Ka Gai so I'll have to say I don't think I can ever go back to a time when I will dine there and not order that. You could choose to eat it as a hearty appetizer or even your main meal. Once I ordered a side of white rice and dumped it in there. Anyway - Indochine is such a wonderful dining experience whether you are inside, outside, or sitting at the bar. Of course, the decorations that they have used to spruce up the ambience of the restaurant are hard to top. I've heard that a lot of them are hand picked from the east and brought back to the restaurant. I think it's also cute that they have a little gift shop with actually cute items that I would like to purchase - one of them being the collection of little chopstick holders for your table scape. I do highly recommend going to ending over the Express locations (while the concept is great because you can order the same type of food items to go, I have actually found overtime that the food is significantly better at the original location than these express locations.)

I came in for lunch on a weekday and was surprised by how busy the place was, but it is very telling of how beloved this place is. My waitress was very friendly and helped me make my decision on what to get. The food took a while to come out, but was definitely hot and fresh when I got it! The hokkien noodles were loaded with meat and had a delicious flavor, and the portion size was pretty big for the price. The inside is super cute as well, with a few different rooms and nice decorations all around.

Sad because realistically we'll never get a chance to go here again. We are on a road trip and happen to be passing by the area when we got hungry. I'll start by saying that we go out often enough but the garden in the back completely blew us away. It was like we entered another country when we went through the doors. I'm talking about little eating huts, Buddha statues, a koi pond!!! On to the food which, I'll preface this by mentioning we're from nyc where most people think we have the best of everything lol. This place proves me wrong!! Pad Thai!! Best I had. The wife had the Buddha in a nest which isn't something I would typically enjoy but it was so flavorful I have to admit I would get it next time as well. Our server was superb. We picked up on the fact that he didn't have an accent and he told us he's from New Jersey but he's working on his "ya all" slang lol. Great guy, everyone in the entire establishment was very friendly and welcoming which we love about the south. All in all I hope that life brings me to this neck of the woods again so I can visit this place at least once more. If you're thinking of trying it out. Don't think, just do it!!!

Nice ambiance, pretty chill vibe. Server was friendly and service was quick. veggie egg rolls - pretty standard but really good! shiitake dumplings - very mushroomy, also good pad thai - meh. tastes nothing like a pad thai. very bland eggplant dish - this was bomb! plenty of flavour and hands down the best dish we tried thai tea - pretty standard

    Indochine Reviews in Other Languages

    Ask the Community - Indochine

    Do they take reservations?

    No. First come first serve.

Do they serve gluten free dishes?

Yes! The curries and pad Thai are gluten friendly. If you have an allergy, make sure to inform your server though.

    Celiac friendly options?

Yes you can order rice and salads with dressing on the side.

Anyone know if they have a kids menu or if you have taken your toddler here what did they like?

I'm not aware of a kids menu. When our daughter was young, we used to get the chicken satay for her (an appetizer) that's around $8 if I remember right. Now that she's a little older, she opts for California rolls.

    Cashew chicken How is it?

It's good, but truthfully I've never had a meal there that was less than good, and several were excellent. I'm not known as an adventurous eater but I would try anything on the menu and be surprised if I didn't like it.
