    Buddha's Feast

Sad because realistically we'll never get a chance to go here again. We are on a road trip and happen to be passing by the area when we got hungry. I'll start by saying that we go out often enough but the garden in the back completely blew us away. It was like we entered another country when we went through the doors. I'm talking about little eating huts, Buddha statues, a koi pond!!! On to the food which, I'll preface this by mentioning we're from nyc where most people think we have the best of everything lol. This place proves me wrong!! Pad Thai!! Best I had. The wife had the Buddha in a nest which isn't something I would typically enjoy but it was so flavorful I have to admit I would get it next time as well. Our server was superb. We picked up on the fact that he didn't have an accent and he told us he's from New Jersey but he's working on his "ya all" slang lol. Great guy, everyone in the entire establishment was very friendly and welcoming which we love about the south. All in all I hope that life brings me to this neck of the woods again so I can visit this place at least once more. If you're thinking of trying it out. Don't think, just do it!!!

My cousin and brother came to visit from out of town! I was so excited for them to see this amazing side of the city. The outdoor seating is just incredible, it's like being transported to Indonesia right here in Wilmington. I didn't manage to snap photos of all the delicious dishes we devoured because we were too caught up in conversation and enjoying the food. But seriously, if you haven't been there yet, you absolutely must go - it's a solid 10 out of 10 all around. The lively atmosphere really enhanced the flavors of each dish, and we had such a great time reminiscing and creating new memories together. Every bite was a delightful surprise, taking us on a culinary journey far from our daily routines. And as the sun set, the twinkling lights above us added a magical touch to our evening. It was one of those nights that reminded us of the happiness good food and good company can bring.

I've heard so much about Indochine in Wilmington--between TikTok and word of mouth, the hype is real. I tried to go on Valentine's Day but the 2-hour wait was a no, so I was excited to finally experience it. The ambiance is beautiful--colorful, cozy, and it really makes you feel like you've stepped somewhere special. The service was great as well--attentive and even had a bit of humor, which made the experience more enjoyable. We started with the sampler appetizer, which was perfect for two and a great way to try a variety of items. For my main, I went with the tom yum soup to save room for dessert, but it fell a bit short--flavor was mild and the portion was smaller than expected for an entrée. My husband ordered the Happy Asian Melody, which was good--fresh ingredients, generous portion, just a bit heavy on the sauce. Now the highlight--the coconut cake absolutely lived up to the hype. Moist, flavorful, and not overly coconutty. Paired with the coconut ice cream, it was the perfect ending. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it. It's a nice spot with great ambiance and dessert, but with so many places to explore, I'm not in a rush to return just yet.

I came in for lunch on a weekday and was surprised by how busy the place was, but it is very telling of how beloved this place is. My waitress was very friendly and helped me make my decision on what to get. The food took a while to come out, but was definitely hot and fresh when I got it! The hokkien noodles were loaded with meat and had a delicious flavor, and the portion size was pretty big for the price. The inside is super cute as well, with a few different rooms and nice decorations all around.

Great little out of the way spot for amazing Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese food. Excellent service and the decor and garden is beautiful. It's one of our favorite spots in Wilmington. They have daily specials as well as an extensive menu. They also have a unique choice of appetizers and desserts.

Nice ambiance, pretty chill vibe. Server was friendly and service was quick. veggie egg rolls - pretty standard but really good! shiitake dumplings - very mushroomy, also good pad thai - meh. tastes nothing like a pad thai. very bland eggplant dish - this was bomb! plenty of flavour and hands down the best dish we tried thai tea - pretty standard

I've heard SO much about this restaurant and finally got to try it. It was nothing less than all the hype! This restaurant is so beautiful and reminds me so much of my home; Vietnam. We went at 6PM on a Saturday and the wait was about 10 minutes so we went to the gift shop while we waited. It is so cute in there! They have a variety of Asian themed gifts all at different price points and I was obsessed with looking at everything. Staff is really nice and our waitress was so sweet. She made sure to keep checking on us and packed up our food for us herself. I highly recommend sitting out doors for the private pavilions as it's beautiful, spacious, and intimate. Food was impeccable! I am not an appetizer person at restaurants but decided to give it a shot. The appetizer sampler is tooo good and gives you a slice of their best. I also highly recommend their banana roll dessert! What an amazing combo of ingredients for a unique and tasty meal. It was such a good experience we already thought about the next time we'd come back-- all before we even left. As my husband said, this place is a 1000/10!

The drinks were made with perfection.

This is a great place, with great food, and great staff. Indochine had been on my bucket list for quite a while. So, much to my pleasure when my family surprised me with a road-trip to Wilmington. The central location of Indochine and the plentiful parking are all additional perks. But, the food was the show stopper. Everything we had from appetizers to drinks were delicious. This is a place where you need to visit more than once so you can try the many menu items. This an awesome place to do some celebrating. While there, many were celebrating birthdays. It's also a great spot for date night and girls/guys night out. I look forward to returning! Happy Eating!

What an eclectic restaurant! Lots to look at of the Thai culture. The food is huge portions and very good. However, I didn't like the Mango and Sticky Rice. I've been to Thailand and know how it should taste. It wasn't bad but it didn't hit the spot. The server switched it out for a cheese cake which was delicious. I didn't get our servers name but she was polite and explained what came with our meal. The bathroom is clean yet very tiny. Part of the bathroom is a small seating area. Very quaint. Outside there's covered seating areas and at least 3 ponds with fish you can feed. There's so much to look at. You can tell at night it's very pretty. It was so much food I ate for the next two days from my meal. I would love to come back here.

Everything about this restaurant is amazing...ambiance, service, food and drinks! I had the yum yum chicken and received so much delicious food that I had enough for lunch the next day. Definitely my go to when I'm in Wilmington!

Ambiance 10/10. Service 8/10, food 10/10. I think we kept getting forgotten about by our server. She was kind but, we were there for almost 2 hours. However, the surroundings were cute, food was great and would def come back!

After all of the social media videos and praise, I have finally made my way to Wilmington and visited Indochine! I wasn't disappointed in the least bit. The food was delicious, however the restaurant theme, and style was absolutely worth the visit. I don't think I have ever been to a restaurant decorated so beautifully and authentically. This has got to be one of the most visually astounding restaurants in NC. Well worth a drive and or a visit!

I came here with my girlfriend and we had a wonderful time! The Thai food was fantastic and we were glad we could try so many things. The service was great as well.

    Ask the Community - Indochine

    Do they take reservations?

    No. First come first serve.

Do they serve gluten free dishes?

Yes! The curries and pad Thai are gluten friendly. If you have an allergy, make sure to inform your server though.

    Celiac friendly options?

Yes you can order rice and salads with dressing on the side.

Anyone know if they have a kids menu or if you have taken your toddler here what did they like?

I'm not aware of a kids menu. When our daughter was young, we used to get the chicken satay for her (an appetizer) that's around $8 if I remember right. Now that she's a little older, she opts for California rolls.

    Cashew chicken How is it?

It's good, but truthfully I've never had a meal there that was less than good, and several were excellent. I'm not known as an adventurous eater but I would try anything on the menu and be surprised if I didn't like it.
