Extremely disappointed with our experience. We had an appointment scheduled for 8:30 AM for my 5-year-old child. The office instructed us ahead of time that he needed to fast, which is already difficult for a young child. We arrived on time and waited in the lobby for over an hour and a half. At 10:00 AM, after keeping a hungry and thirsty child waiting, we were told they would not be able to see him because he coughed in the lobby. We confirmed he is not sick, but they still refused to proceed. If coughing was going to automatically disqualify him from being seen, this should have been addressed immediately upon arrival -- not after such a long wait. It's especially frustrating given the fasting requirement. Asking a 5-year-old to go without food and water and then not honoring the scheduled appointment time shows a lack of consideration for families and young patients. I understand caution for illness, but communication and timing matter. An earlier decision would have saved us a lot of unnecessary stress. We also drove over 100 miles (about 2 hours) specifically for this appointment, which makes the situation even more frustrating. Because of this experience, we will not be returning and do not recommend this office. We will also be informing our primary dentist not to refer patients here in the future. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! My 5 year old son had a tooth infection. He had a fever. His face was swollen and we were on the verge of going to the ER. They took him in and they cared for him with so much empathy. I was in tears half of the day. My son's swelling on his face went down within hours after surgery. Huge thank you to Dr. Trammell (Dentist), and Dr. Elisha (anesthesiologist) and nurse Danielle, I can't say enough amazing things about them, They were so amazing with my son to help him feel comfortable. You may need to wait a hour or two to be seen, but let me tell you it's worth the wait. Bring an iPad or coloring book for your little. Office experience: Front desk Clerk was very dismissive, They don't offer many options on y the only offer silver teeth and say they don't put white filling or white teeth or anything like that sort. Even when I told her we were willing to pay out of pocket. Since we were aware that the insurance dis not cover that. She then stated let me check with the dentist but I know we don't . Then she rudely said "oh the dentist said she can do it". It took way to long for that we arrived at 8am to leave by 1pm. They over booked their appointments. Care was not the greatest when I got my daughter she was so cold and said the room was extra cold and they didn't offer her a blanket . In our case, the wait time was acceptable--our appointment began at 7:00 a.m. and we were finished by 10:30 a.m. The medical team, including the doctor, anesthesiologist, and nurses, were excellent and professional. Unfortunately, the front desk staff created an environment that was not only rude but potentially harmful to families with young children. At check-in, we were told only one parent could accompany our two-year-old inside. This policy had never been communicated to us beforehand. When we questioned it, the staff dismissed us with, "Well, now you have been." Later, when the medical team assured us that my son's mother could wait in the lobby during the procedure, the front desk contradicted them, insisting both parents leave the building entirely. They even suggested we wait in our car or at a bakery until the procedure was over, and that we could simply pick up our toddler at the door when they call our cellphone. This is unacceptable--he is a two-year-old child, not an older teenager. When I challenged this, pointing out that the waiting room had 10-15 empty seats, the staff reluctantly allowed one parent to stay, but only after unnecessary conflict. My son's mother also felt singled out when staff spoke about her in Spanish as she entered, which was unprofessional and disrespectful, knowing she is Caucasian and could not interpret what they were saying This is not a minor inconvenience. The front desk is the first point of contact for families who are already anxious about medical procedures. Their dismissive and hostile behavior undermines trust in the practice and creates unnecessary stress for parents and children. Families should feel welcomed, supported, and reassured--not treated as if they are a burden. Hopefully the office manager will look into these concerns, as we voiced the issue to the nurses in the back and they even said they have had several complaints about the front office staff. The doctors, nurses, and anesthesiologist deserve recognition for their excellent care, but the front desk staff are the face of the practice, and their conduct is deeply concerning. If policies are inconsistent, poorly communicated, or enforced with hostility, it compromises the overall quality of care. This issue must be addressed to ensure that patients and their families are treated with dignity and respect. read more

As a mom who came here first to read comments because my anxiety was through roof having my child get put under. This place is amazing. Staff is very caring very friendly and helpful especially Daniel. The doctor that did the procedure came inn and he even said every child that comes to me I treat as if it was my own. I felt very comfortable after that. We drove two hours to get here and waited 5 hours in our car until my child was called back. Can't complain of the wait time at all because other children's procedures might take longer you just never know. I recommend you feed you're kid well night before. And after 9pm do not give any food water yes they will be complaining but it's for their safety.nice clean office. Bring a mask! After my son fractured his eye tooth I knew immediately he was going to need to go to the Indio surgery center to have it repaired. His reaction to getting an exam from his dentist only solidified his need for anesthesia. As a mother this is terrifying. The thought of your 2.5 year old going under is nerve wracking to say the least. That's why I am writing this review, to put other mother's minds at ease. The ISC was amazing. They were reassuring and highly qualified. Every moment we were there we were well cared for and treated like family. I got to hold my son in my arms until he was ready to have his surgery and it only took a short time once he was under before they completed the work and had him waiting for me in recovery. Everything went smoothly and he was back to normal a few short hours after I brought him home. Imagine my relief! I highly recommend the ISC and would not hesitate to return if needed in the future. read more

I had two of my kids get a procedure done here within the same week. The staff is friendly and constantly asked if I had any questions. No office is perfect, having a fasting child wait so long to eat isn't ideal nor is the waiting time from when you check in. But once you make it in with the Doctors it goes by quickly. Location with such high heat and waiting outside for long periods of time is also not ideal, thankfully we were parked close by enough to sit in the car with the air on until they were ready to bring us in. I will say the Doctors and Nurses are amazing, they are professional and very comforting to both my kids, they made sure they were relaxed and knew everything would be okay. My son has autism so unfortunately he has to be under anesthesia to perform dental work His appt was at 6:45 am and we were taken back around 7:30 so very prompt. They seriously need to get it together and find better ways to accommodate to the patients and parents needs. Had a good experience yesterday. Took my daughter for dental work done. Dr Joshua and his nurses were great, super professional and friendly. I just wish the wait was as long. We had a positive experience with Indio Surgery Center. The wait is LONG yes but I understand it as well. It appears they bring all the days patients in the morning just from observing. This is possibly due to the fact the kids are fasting and it ensures they do not eat before the surgery. It is a hospital type set up once you leave the lobby. The lobby is very warm and inviting with IPADS for the kids, kids movies on the TV and apparently sound proof walls cause you do not hear your normal dentist office sounds that can become scary for kids. Parents are allowed to stay with the child during the time they are administering the anesthesia which is nice but definitely can be scary for the parent. The back of office staff (Nurses and Doctors) are very nice and help ease the anxiety the parents are experiencing. It is advisable to bring a second person to health assist with the drive home as the child is still partially under the anesthesia and has erratic movements in my experience and can have a significant amount of bleeding depending if they had extractions and requires some assistance in cleaned up and trying to get them not to spit the blood out. Over all we had a good experience just prepare yourself as the parent to be there all day. Eat before you come, bring reading material, your phone charger and a sweater for you and your child because it is very cold in the office. Ensure your child wears socks or bring socks. This place was 1.5 hours away from me but the only place that would do the work that needed to be done. Everytime I called they were extremely nice and understanding of all my concerns. Our appointment was at 6:30am we got there on time and was let in right away, we filled out paperwork and were taken back for pre-op within 30 min. He was so worried about having to get a shot but they told him they can just do it with the mask which was so great for us to hear! He was taken back and within 45 minutes he was done. I have to say that I'm rating 3 stars because although my visit there for my 6 year old was Pleasant , the scheduling an appointment was a mess. They originally gave me a date and when I called to confirm it because I thought it was weird no one had called me and reached out to me they kept telling me I missed my appointment? Which was a mistake because I never got a txt or call for any appointment coming up I didn't need to prove I was correct to the nurses at the front desk . So they gave me a different date to come and I revived a txt confirming the original date they gave me not the one I "missed " I was just so confused . Other than the scheduling part of this location I was very happy with how clean it was and once entered you can't leave that's a great idea to help stop the spread of covid . My son got all the work he needed on his teeth and they were super thorough with me and my child they really took Im consideration of my baby. This place is ridiculous, to say the least The drive to Loma Linda would've been well worth it considering we were scheduled at 9:30am and it's 2:10pm an we've yet to be seen And to make matters worse the receptionist had a bad attitude and seemed irritated when I began to ask questions after hour four of waiting. She reminded me that Loma Linda was the next closest place to take our insurance. Aren't these ladies trained to schedule accordingly?
