Long story short, I was looking for a makeup artist and found GlammedByVee on StyleSeat. On 8/8, I…read morereached out to her and set up a consultation for 8/19 at 6:00 PM and paid the required $30.00 deposit via CashApp as was requested. On 8/19, she texted to confirm that we were still on to which I immediately responded yes and asked her to confirm her address, but she did not respond. Two hours later, I asked her again to confirm her address because StyleSeat only indicates an area. When she finally replied, she did not indicate that she lived in an apartment and failed to provide an apartment number when she gave me her address. So, upon my arrival, I texted and asked for her apartment number which she then provided AND stated that if I was 5 minutes late that I would have to pay an additional $10.00. Her building does not provide a full lot and you can only park on the front side. All the front spaces were taken so I had to park a few buildings down and walk back to her building. When I made it to her apartment on the 3rd floor, she answered the door in a silk robe and hair bonnet. I told her that I received her text as I was walking and didn't think that it was fair that I had to pay an additional $10.00. In all our text communications, she never stated that she has a "late policy". Furthermore, if she had expressed that she lived in an apartment with limited parking and that she charges a $10.00 5-minute late fee, I would have happily paid, but just to spring it on me and then not even budge AFTER I drove an hour for the consultation was ridiculous. She said if I had called it would have been one thing...HUGH? Excuse me, but I literally just texted you for your apartment number, how would I have known to do that if I was not outside? It was 6:03 when she asked if I was there, and I was knocking on her door 2 minutes later. I was really looking forward to this appointment. I left feeling dejected and very disappointed, but at least I was refunded my deposit (after I asked for it). I do not recommend GlammedbyVee to anyone. Very unprofessional.

I showed the stylist exactly what color I wanted, and they confidently said they could achieve it, but the final result looked completely different from what was promised. Not only did my hair turn out nothing like the reference photo, but the color is barely visible and looks uneven and dull. What makes this even worse is the lack of honesty and professionalism. At no point was I told that the result might be different or that my hair could not achieve the color I requested. Instead, I paid a very high price expecting professional results and left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and honestly upset. I also wasted hours of my time for something I never asked for. A professional salon should communicate clearly, manage expectations, and stand behind their work. Unfortunately, this place did none of that. I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for reliable color services.
