Cancer. The diagnosis is one no one wants. The entire journey from diagnosis to treatment choices is no easy journey by any means and finding providers with friendly employees and facilities that offer a wide variety of services is crucial to your physical, mental and emotional health. The Cancer Center at Community North is one place that I was surprised by and truly pleased with. I am far from impressed with the health care system in America so I felt it was very important to provide a review. From the moment we walked in, my family was treated with exceptional care from each and every employee we came in contact with. From the first employees at check in who gave us a overview of information of care to even providing us with financial assistance information at the front desk we felt a sense of genuine caring. Finally someone understands that the journey is not simple nor inexpensive and they offer you help up front instead of shocking you with medical expenses that you probably will not be financially prepared for unless you have medical emergency funds saved up for catastrophic health issues. Once we check in and knew where to go next, we met awesome nurses, care coordinators and doctors that did not rush us with helping us to understand all of the treatment options available and who encouraged us to take a few moments to think about what was best for our family. Even at check out we were not just directed on how to figure out how to get to check out. Our care coordinator escorted us to the check out and encouraged us to contact her at anytime with any questions, reaching our doctors, setting appointments, etc. If every medical facility ran as great as the Cancer Center, I guarantee the health care system would be so much better for everyone. They are a shining example of what other health care facilities and health care employees should be striving to be like!

I'm biased toward the Community Health Network, after I received such superb care during my brief hospital stay at Community Hospital South; their network is also less expensive than Franciscan. So: Location. Right next to the freeway exit (465 & Washington Street E) -- easy to get to. Dedicated parking lot, and easy to drop patients off at the front door. Facilities: Clean, comfortable, roomy waiting area. Friendly and efficient front desk staff. Plenty of available masks & hand sanitizer. Waiting area easy to socially distance. Chairs comfortable. Experience making appointment: Courteous receptionist who helped me immediately, and offered two back-to-back appointments (for myself and His Goatness) within four days of my call. Appointments can be booked online, as well, for existing patients. Filling out forms/receiving results/payment: ALL available online, and easy to navigate. Received access to my visit summary within three hours. Received access to my labwork as soon as it was reviewed by the pathologist. Reminders for treatments/diagnostics due show up on the app as well -- makes it easy to keep track of ongoing care. Medical staff: Samoyia, the nurse, was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Dr. Zachary Crowell, new to the practice, was logical, organized, and pleasant, spending all the time needed to sort and make sense of my medical history and needs. He made two referrals to deal with my current needs, all within the same network -- I received callbacks and made appointments before the day was over. I'm going to enjoy working with the both of them, going forward! Bonus: During hours/days the Family Practice is closed, there is an in-network urgent care and lab facility *right downstairs.* Appointments can be either walk-in or booked online.

This place has different doctor's offices and service providers located within this one building. It reminds me of an indoor mini mall, because there is seating in the middle, with offices all around. Me, personally? I've been here to visit the Quest Diagnostics for blood draws, visited the walk-in breast screening services for my yearly mammogram, had an X-ray done for abdominal woes, and brought my children to visit the urgent care. There are also endocrinologists here, OB/GYN care, physical therapists and other physicians and services. The waiting room is big and open, and it's always been very peaceful and calm whenever I have visited. I don't enjoy visiting any kind of doctor at any time, but whenever I visit a doctor or get a procedure done here, it's always been a good experience.

Whether I called in, I either was able to talk to a staff member on my initial call or received a telephone call back promptly if I needed to leave a message. The staff does not assume every patient uses MyChart and asks how patients would like to receive information. I do use MyChart and prefer it but I am also cognizant that there are patients who may not like using technology to interact with their healthcare team. The nurses made sure that I not only understood preoperative procedures but also what I could expect up until I saw the doctor and post-operative instructions. I did not feel rushed during my time there. They are very organized and all employees work together well making sure they have each other's back. If they ever perform the wrong procedure on a patient due to a patient identification mix-up, I would be shocked because each employee asked me for my patient information well as why I was being seen. If you are the type of patient that gets annoyed with this, realize they are doing their job and making sure everything is done correctly to the right patient. This is a good thing! Dr. Bhagatwala was personable, thorough, and efficient which helped me feel at ease over a nerve-racking procedure. He went over my procedure before having me sign a consent form. This is how this process should go. He explained what was done to my designated driver (required for some procedures) and told me when I should return to the office. I was under moderate sedation so my most vivid interactions with him were up to the IV sedative administration. After my procedure, my DD was advised where to pick me up and the last employee that I interacted with made sure that I got into the car safely. They have an entrance for going and a secondary exit for post-op patients. Note: I had an early morning procedure.

It's an above average waiting room in terms of size and variety in seating choices, but not revolutionary. Choose between table booths to work on a laptop, armed chairs to feel rigid, or plush comfort to watch the multiple tv screens and channels. Get ready for a heavy dose of tv news. TV not your thing? Plenty of magazines to choose from. You won't be bored. The bathrooms are spacious and single person. There was never a line for the two doors. The staff was nice when we walked in. Accomodating. Even the nurses handled my friend with care. The doctor was a bit brief with the prognosis, but that seems to happen across the board with doctors... All in all a GREAT outpatient care center. Clean and well furnished.

Community Health Network Fishers is right in the heart of Fishers, and has a wonderful staff of nurses and nurse practitioners that take very good care of their patients. They provide family medicine and patient care for all ages and adults. Dr. Jordan Phelps, DO takes time to listen to me and understand my health concerns. He does a wonderful job examining his patients and gives a fair and healthy assessment of the patient's health conditions and concerns. Steven, the nurse practitioner, also does an excellent job listening to the patient's concerns and providing the best possible care that is needed for the patient. Community Health Network Fishers is my #1 choice for my doctor and health care needs, and highly recommend Dr. Phelps to anyone who is looking for a primary doctor. Esto es algo serio y potencialmente peligroso que no fue diagnosticado ni tratado correctamente en esta clínica. Me parece muy preocupante que no se haya identificado una condición tan delicada y que, aun así, se nos haya cobrado tanto sin ofrecer una solución real. La atención fue deficiente y la experiencia, decepcionante. No recomendaría esta clínica, especialmente para casos que requieren una evaluación médica cuidadosa y responsable.
