We hired ISF to insulate the walls on our 1901 house. Previously they did a great job insulating the attic, because we weren't ready for the walls at that time. The crew arrived on time, discussed the procedure and immediately began work. I was a little concerned about the process, but everything went smoothly. They worked through brutal cold and 35 MPH winds. They were awesome! Our siding and windows are about 4 years old and it was important to me that it all stayed in good condition. Most of the insulation was being applied from the outside of the house by removing sections of siding and drilling holes through the sheathing. All the siding was reinstalled and looked just like it did when it was new. The crew was meticulous in wiping down any over-spray and keeping the job site clean. On the inside the had some areas that needed to be foamed through the existing drywall. They carefully drilled holes and covered all adjacent areas with protective plastic . Afterward their drywall guy plastered all the holes leaving them smooth for us to finish as promised. We had several original walls with zero insulation and the noise from outside was always an issue. Now I notice how quiet the inside of the house has become. The next day after the install, the temperature was 16 degrees and we had snow. The furnace is easily maintaining the heat inside without running excessively. We have a smart thermostat and I am anxious to compare this year's heating/cooling costs to the previous year. We have a 4 year old high efficiency gas furnace and air conditioner. A couple of months ago we experienced a record cold wave that forced our furnace to run for 48 hours straight just to maintain 68 degrees in the house! Hopefully that never happens again. We have noticed the foam has stopped the air leakage around windows and receptacles. The crew consisted of diligent workers that kept us informed, did great work, and left the job site in good order. I highly recommend them!

JUST MAD They went all the way around my house removing siding and drilling holes. Then they tell me tgey can't do job due to plastic wrap!

For my situation--an old house with a walk up attic that had never been insulated--going with a spray foam made a huge difference.

We were arranged to use Momper Insulation through our general contractor who is handling some home…read moreimprovements for us. We got insulation blown into the attic of the house and over the attached garage. The access to the main attic is in the master bedroom's closet ceiling. Through the course of the time they were here, I went up to get something and saw they had some of the old batting insulation just leaning up against the wall next to my bed without anything being covered. My husband, who works from home, also saw this and asked them to remove it and they said "yah, we'll get it all out before we're done". No sense of urgency. No respect for the fact that people SLEEP 2 feet from this large piece of insulation. They didn't wrap any of old insulation before carting it through the house. If I hadn't thought ahead and put up old sheets to cover most of our clothes, they absolutely wouldn't have done anything to protect the area. I say this with certainty because they did not put up one piece of drop cloth, inside the closet, nor down on the floors, nor did they bother to even minimally clean up the bits of insulation they left EVERYWHERE. I have two young kids, one of whom has asthma, and for over a week, I was cleaning up bits of pink insulation and vacuuming and re-vacuuming everything. I didn't sleep in my room for more than a week, trying to make sure it was clean enough to be safe. Every square foot of my home where they were, had bits of insulation. It's been almost a month since they did the job and I am still finding it places. I'm furious! The piece of board that covers the access has insulation visibly sticking out around the edges!! And to top it off, they didn't say a word when they were leaving. None of the usual 'here's what we did, we'll invoice you, do you have any questions" as is typical for any workers you have in your home. We just noticed that their truck wasn't in the driveway anymore and they didn't come back. The ONLY good thing I can say is that the insulation is really doing well keeping the summer heat out of the house, but that would be true no matter who installed it.

Can't really say if I would recommend them or not. But I do know that they have zero customer…read moreservice. I called them on March 6th to get an estimate and I had to call them back on March 11 to find out if I had an estimator or not. He did set up an appointment for that day and told me he would email my estimate. I then contacted my estimator again on the 15th and said I should have it right away. Here it is the 22nd and still nothing!! I am an estimator/ superintendent for an industrial contractor. If they did not want to do the job all had to do was tell me. But I will not recommend them to my friends that are currently building homes!!

We called Assured Energy Solutions and they came out within two days to offer a quote to touch up our insulation. Not only were they thorough, their estimate was fair and reasonable and they gave us ideas where we could save even more by capping our can lights and insulating our hatches. The crew that arrived to complete the role were friendly, efficient and so proud of the work they were doing. The finished product looks amazing and you could tell they were proud of their work as well. Go with a local company and you will be so happy!!!

In October my painter decided to remove some of the drywall in the kitchen & replace it to provide a better painting surface. The area included the south exterior wall. On 10/16/21 when he removed the drywall he discovered the missing insulation. He called me immediately. I came home, took pics, and sent to Assured's sales rep on 10/16/21. The sales rep came to my house on 10/29 to review. I had intended to have the rest of the downstairs painted with the exception of the bathroom, but with the discovery of the missing insulation in the kitchen I did not trust that any of my exterior walls were insulated wherever injection foam was used. Unfortunately I couldn't even consider addressing the upstairs rooms at that point due to cost. I felt my only option was to have the drywall of all the downstairs walls removed. If they were in the same condition as the kitchen south wall as I expected, I would have to install rolled insulation. The sales rep suggested that the company would make it right. I asked him if they would remove the drywall, install rolled insulation, & redrywall. He said no, the company wouldn't do that. In that case I said I had to move ahead with finding someone to take care of it the right way & I expected to be compensated. After seeing the kitchen wall I would not go through the injection foam process again. It was a freak accident that I even found out that my walls were only partially insulated. If my painter hadn't decided to remove that kitchen drywall I still wouldn't know. To this day I have not received a definitive explanation from the company as to how or why it happened. Since my kitchen cabinets & flooring were installed 10/19-22/21 I could not address the lack of insulation on the east exterior kitchen wall. As far as the rest of the downstairs, my painter started demolition on 11/7/21. As expected the walls were in the same condition as the kitchen wall, pics attached here. He worked a total of 11 days, 8 of which were drywall removal, installing rolled insulation, redrywall/tape/mud/sanding/prep for painting at a total cost of $4700 not including all materials. With all that work completed, I still have part of my downstairs that I think it's safe to say is not insulated correctly--the east wall of the kitchen and the bathroom, approximately 20% of the downstairs exterior. As for the upstairs, I don't know for certain the condition of the walls that had injection foam although I think a reasonable assumption would be that they are in the same condition since installation was done on the same day. The upstairs had already been repaired after Assured's install date, including partial drywall/tape/mud/skim coated, and painted at considerable expense. I cannot afford to tear those walls apart now. I texted an update to Assured's sales rep on 11/15 & e-mailed all the pics on 11/16, three of which are attached here. I received a text asking if I would be available the next week for him & their operations manager to come out. I replied yes. The next week came & went. There was no call from Assured to reschedule. On 12/2 I received an email from their scheduler stating that one of their installers might be able to come out that afternoon & possibly install. Install what? I already had the work done. On 1/17/22 I called the sales rep again. He asked me to resend the pics which I did. On 1/20/22, three months after the problem was originally discovered, Assured's operations manager & I had a call. I said that I expected for the entire $5000 to be refunded. He offered me $2000 stating that I did not give them the opportunity to come & fix it & that they had done a lot of work. How could I possibly have agreed to injection foam again? I never received an alternative non-injection foam option to correct it from the company between 10/16/21-11/7/21. I had to rectify the situation myself. I am still left with 20% of the downstairs as well as the injection foam portion of the upstairs that is not properly insulated. Whatever the reason that the material failed, it did fail. I think it's only fair to be compensated for the full amount that I paid. That has not happened.
