Beautiful Course, Fantastic Amenities, and a Great Day of Golf!…read more While I really enjoy golfing, I rarely seem to find the time to get out these days. So finding myself in October playing my first round of the year at Indian Wells Golf Resort was a little sad, but also a great way to finally kick off my golf season! We had a group of eight friends playing together, and from the moment we pulled up, it was clear this was going to be a special experience. The course is absolutely beautiful, with stunning desert and mountain views, challenging greens, and plenty of water hazards to keep things interesting. You can definitely tell this is an upscale golf resort. The carts are fantastic, equipped with fans and even misters to help keep you cool in the desert heat. Each cart also has a cooler and ball washer, and there's plenty of drinking water available throughout the course, complete with cups. These little touches really make a difference when you're golfing in Palm Springs temperatures! The course itself was in amazing condition. The fairways were beautifully maintained, the greens were challenging but fun, and the pin placements kept things interesting. There's also quite a bit of water throughout the course, which adds to both the beauty and the challenge. Since we were playing a scramble, it took some pressure off those of us who hadn't played much recently. I was pleasantly surprised that despite not having picked up my clubs all year, I managed to keep up and even contribute a few good shots! The staff throughout the resort were friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed some hot dogs at the turn before heading out for the back nine. Indian Wells isn't exactly inexpensive, but this is definitely one of those courses where you feel you're getting a premium experience for your money. Between the course conditions, beautiful scenery, thoughtful amenities, and excellent service, it's easy to understand why this resort has such a great reputation. My advice? Don't rush your round. Take your time, enjoy the scenery, have a few laughs with your friends, and soak in the entire experience. Highly recommended! I'd absolutely play here again, and hopefully I won't wait until October for my first round next year!

It provides a fun challenge while still being open and forgiving enough to make the round enjoyable for golfers of different skill levels. The outside staff were attentive and did a great job keeping groups on schedule for their tee times. The practice facilities were also in outstanding condition and made for a great warm-up before the round. Bad: The beverage cart only came by once before going in for the day. While it appeared the attendant was covering both courses, we teed off before 10 a.m., so another pass would have been appreciated. There also didn't appear to be any marshals on the course. We found ourselves waiting on a twosome ahead of us several times but we still finished ahead of schedule so not the biggest issue, but it did impact the pace of play. Additionally, there were kids fishing near multiple tee boxes and lakes along the course, occasionally standing close to the line of play, which raised some safety concerns.

My son reserved a spot for us for my birthday he lives in Denver so he made a t time back in summer(Aug) but they wouldn't honor my resident card, sad because that card is only good for desert willow no other course. Don't waste your money here, let the snowbirds pay the extremely high prices.

This is one of the most amazing and beautiful courses I've ever played. The course it built into…read morethe mountains as you head up route 74. From the clubhouse you have to drive about 8 minutes in your golf cart farther up into the mountain just to find the driving range. From there the course continues to go up. In fact, at one point you're on a par 3 overlooking a path that people take about 2 hours to hike. Kind of funny to think you get to golf at an elevation other people are hiking to. Despite it's beauty, this course is also incredibly hard. It's like playing "target golf" at Stone Eagle. Every shot, even tee shots, require you to hit it to a specific point, not just a direction. The greens were incredibly tough and require you to read the grain on every putt as well as the break. Just remember one rule "Slow to the snow"; meaning when you're putting up towards the mountain it's going to be slower. This seems like common sense, but it even applies to a downhill put that towards the mountain. Just trust yourself, and your caddie. Some of my other favorite highlights are the tacos at the Den at Ten, and the 19th hole. Literally this course has a 19th hole which is a par 3 next to the Aerie (the grill room for after your round). After having a great lunch and a few drinks, it was a ton of fun to all throw down a little cash and make the 19th hole a little more interesting. The only problem with this course is figuring out a way to get on it!

If you're bored and wanting to find a place to golf. Look no further as your in golf central in the…read moredesert. Where ever you go, there's a course somewhere. A country club, a private club, public and indoor course. Whatever you crave there's something in the desert. This was the first time we've been here so it was nice to check out. Located across the embankment of the whitewater wash and across from Palm Desert high school. It's a public course which welcomes everyone and pretty easy to maneuver. As you drive in to the parking lot, which is small but decent as we found parking pretty easily. The driving range is to your left while the course is to your right. Check in is right infront of you. With it being a public walk on and a 9 hole par 3 course. It's great for beginners and people learning. With your tee time appointment, you can practice putting before starting. The holes are pretty much easy to get to. You start at the front with the first hole and work your way towards the back and then back to the front. One side is the embankment while the opposite are residents. It's a small course but great for a fun little quick sessions. Last hole has the lake so be prepared for that. Pricewise is quite affordable for both the round and range. It's good for a group or individual. We weren't sure at booking if we could go individually or be out in with a group. But it was nice to just play the two of us. It's a fun course to kill some time.
