Great par 3 golf course that was only a few minutes away from where we were staying. There is a post office attached to the clubhouse which I thought was interesting. The clubhouse itself is pretty small and there's a nice outdoor area to sit and eat or hang out. This was one of the more decently priced courses and was pleasantly surprised with the course which was pretty well kept although the greens were a little dry making them fast. All of the holes were pretty straight with water on a few holes and surprising no bunkers. Also of note is there were a lot of shaded areas and some of them had benches placed under trees, very pleasant. I had a good time here and would like to come back and play at night which I suspect is a little more popular.

Very disappointed with the management and course "Marshall" tonight. Overpriced golf to be treated terribly. I will not be coming back.

We understood that we had to split into groups of four and three, and we did exactly that. At the first tee, we all hit our tee shots around the same time. Instead of politely reminding us of the course policy, the starter walked over very aggressively, began raising his voice, and repeatedly told us we needed to stay separated. He then started speaking in Spanish, which not everyone in our group understood, and kept asking us, "Do you understand?" in a very confrontational manner. We remained calm and respectful the entire time, but the way we were treated was completely unnecessary. Throughout the round, it felt like we were being followed and watched. The group of four ahead of us would occasionally slow down, so our group of three would catch up to say hello. Other times, we'd briefly gather at a tee box while waiting for the fairway to clear. We were never holding up play. In fact, when we noticed groups behind us, we even skipped holes at times to keep the pace moving. Despite this, the marshal repeatedly came over and aggressively told us to separate. Every interaction felt hostile rather than helpful. The final incident was the most disappointing. On the last hole, the course was nearly empty because of the heat. There was no one behind us, and we weren't delaying anyone. Yet the marshal drove up again, yelling that this was the "third time" he had warned us about being together. There was simply no reason for that level of aggression. I've played many golf courses over the years, and I've never experienced staff behaving this way. Course policies are understandable, but they should be enforced with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, the treatment we received from both the starter and the marshal completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable day with friends. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend SilverRock Golf Course.

A huge shout out to Kevin and Tommy, who were incredibly helpful and made the experience enjoyable. They truly know their stuff and are happy to go above and beyond to make sure you walk away with exactly what you need. And then. Taylor, my golf coach and personal golf hero. The Royal course was in slightly better condition, meaning there was a titch more green grass on the fairways and greens but very poor conditions overall. I travel a lot, and I'd say the hotel rooms are good for the price. They show a bit of wear from frequent guests, but they're generally clean and well-kept. The mattress is comfortable, the sheets and towels are fresh, and the furniture is in good shape. The room is one thing, but the overall hotel experience is another--and that's where things fall short. Examples: The hotel is not staffed on-site, around the clock. One evening, I returned to my room only to discover my key card didn't work. I went over to the security booth. Although the security team aren't hotel employees, they fortunately had a master key that let me back in. It was lucky I planned to stay in for the night, since they couldn't issue me a new key. If that master key hadn't worked, they would have had to contact an on-call hotel employee. The key cards and room locks were a bit finicky. Our group had booked five rooms in total, and I wasn't the only one who ended up locked out in the middle of the stay. I understand that business is slow during the summer, but the hotel suspends its cable subscription during the low season (?) I understand that almost everyone has a mobile phone nowadays. Is that the reason telephones have been removed from the rooms? There used to be an ice machine by the hotel laundry room, another in the cart barn, and one more in the clubhouse kitchen. Now, the clubhouse kitchen has the only one left. One morning, as our group was getting ready to head out for a round of golf, we learned that the machine broke down overnight--and there wasn't any fresh ice anywhere on the property! It seems the hotel management office hasn't been open for some time. For check-ins or handling other hotel-related matters, head over to the golf pro shop inside the clubhouse. Putting sentimentality aside, I'm giving a low score in the hope that ownership takes this review as an opportunity for improvement. I also can't overlook the chorus of complaints from my travel companions. Finally, I'll give Nick and Samantha "five stars". Interacting with them, I can tell they're trying--but I think ownership is impeding their efforts.
