Played the celebrity course this weekend and unfortunately the poor behavior from course marshals…read moreovershadowed what should have been a good group outing. We were stopped at the turn and told we had to skip two holes due to complaints from the group behind that we were holding up play. The group behind was our friends who hadn't complained or waited for us all day. Instead of a reasonable conversation, the marshal informed us that we obviously don't play much (I was 2 over) and we didn't have a choice. As we drove down the 10th, we could see the group behind still playing approach shots to the 9th, and the group behind that wasn't even on the 9th yet. He led us to the twelfth hole, where there was a backup and we waited for every shot for the remainder of the round. I've never encountered a course employee with this type of attitude, let alone expecting it when paying this much to play.

Everyone was really nice and it seemed like a beautiful resort with so many things to do. I've definitely never been to a place where it had a giant pool and hotel connected to it before but cool idea. Huge parking lots, golf carts were nice and lots of employees everywhere. We thought we could escape the heat because we played at 6am but it was still scorching out hah.

We were celebrating our families' high school graduates with one foursome and one twosome teeing off at 11:40 on a 105 degree off season Friday. The Marshall approaches us and says he has to split us up because it "Looks bad on his GPS and he can tell we're not that good and we're going to slow the group down behind us." Only valid point he had is we should have played our twosome and foursome separately I guess. But we caught up to the group ahead of us so we weren't holding anyone up. Oh, and the high school grads were on the school golf team and made it to CIF Playoffs so I'm confused on who he thought wasn't that good? With a golf course on every corner in the desert, we won't be bringing our business back to this one.

Tennis courts and pickle ball courts, green areas for walking dogs, or having gatherings. Wonderful full-service restaurant, gym, rec-center, and activities galore. The course itself is demanding, lots of waste areas that you need to avoid. The conditions were good the day we played. The greens were excellent. I think that the clubhouse is under construction, along with other improvements. They were serving lunch and breakfast. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito. My group of seven recently played at SilverRock Golf Course, and unfortunately, it was one of the…read moreworst golf course experiences we've had. We understood that we had to split into groups of four and three, and we did exactly that. At the first tee, we all hit our tee shots around the same time. Instead of politely reminding us of the course policy, the starter walked over very aggressively, began raising his voice, and repeatedly told us we needed to stay separated. He then started speaking in Spanish, which not everyone in our group understood, and kept asking us, "Do you understand?" in a very confrontational manner. We remained calm and respectful the entire time, but the way we were treated was completely unnecessary. Throughout the round, it felt like we were being followed and watched. The group of four ahead of us would occasionally slow down, so our group of three would catch up to say hello. Other times, we'd briefly gather at a tee box while waiting for the fairway to clear. We were never holding up play. In fact, when we noticed groups behind us, we even skipped holes at times to keep the pace moving. Despite this, the marshal repeatedly came over and aggressively told us to separate. Every interaction felt hostile rather than helpful. The final incident was the most disappointing. On the last hole, the course was nearly empty because of the heat. There was no one behind us, and we weren't delaying anyone. Yet the marshal drove up again, yelling that this was the "third time" he had warned us about being together. There was simply no reason for that level of aggression. I've played many golf courses over the years, and I've never experienced staff behaving this way. Course policies are understandable, but they should be enforced with professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, the treatment we received from both the starter and the marshal completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable day with friends. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend SilverRock Golf Course.

I am a disabled US Army vet who once was an avid golfer. 5 major suurgeries over the last 3 years…read morehave prevented me from playing but I got to the point where I could finally try and hit some balls. I went on line to their web site to get hours and diections. When I arrive at 7:15 am to beat the summer heat, I was told their range was closed until 9am. When I told the employee on duty,Joe Gill that their website did NOT show tat info, he told me all their REGULARS knew it. When I explained my situation to him, he told me of a facility 5 miles away that was open. I probably will not ever go back as their customer service to a disbled US Army vet was VERY POOR !

Had we known the condition of this course before we saw the first fairway and green, we would have definitely left and gone ANYWHERE else. The greens were in horrible shape with not just most of them but ALL of them were diseased and in terrible shape. The fairways were not much better with as much dirt as grass on them. TBH, I have played local muni's in the Inland Empire which are in much better shape and less than half the price. It's too bad because this used to be a prime golf destination. It appears to not the case anymore and will no longer be on my list.

It was fun, challenging at times, but very playable also. The course overall were in great shape. The pace wasn't that bad, as we were a twosome, there were a foursome in front of us. my parents live here&i gotta be honest, there's no place else on earth like it. it's camp for…read moreadults, check your reality at the gate...because nothing bad can happen within. it's all the little things that make bighorn so ideal...they provide (the most high end) poop bags at the dog park, one of the guards at the front gate carries dog treats for people with pups, everyone waves as you pass&have recently added a children's playground and even a bocce court. also, the people here are generally good folks. it's been my experience that everyone is there to have a good time&so there's very little attitude. also, with the kind of money everyone here has, there's no point in anyone trying to show-off. best of all, they have some of the greatest employees imaginable, probably because they are treated so well (scholarship fundraisers for their children, christmas present drives, genuine respect!!!) i don't think the word "no" is in their vocabulary, but treating them with disrespect is certainly not accepted. also not accepted are visiting children behaving like brats. racing around in golf-carts, late at night,&generally making a nuisance of yourself gets you in trouble! i'm not SUPER-crazy about the pourhouse or the other casual dining restaurant. don't get me wrong, the food is not bad...it's just regular (burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc.) i have eaten at the nicer restaurant a few times&had great food experiences. but, if you're there at the wrong time, it can be a wait. hmmm, what else...great&comprehensive spa services. surprisingly, no more expensive then you'd pay at similar establishment. the marketplace stocks everything from individual cans of bud light, flour, and pet food...to dom perignon&a $300 riedel decanter. obviously an amazing golf course&just lots of beautiful scenic desert views.
