Didn't like that. 1/2 later the doctor spoke to us about his condition. I don't feel like he explained everything to us well. That there are meds the cat could have taken. He had no personality and didn't have an optimistic demeanor. Everything was presented like it wasn't worth the trouble. We asked questions but he didn't offer positive solutions. He made it sound like if you do this you will need to keep the cat here for three days, see a cardiologist, then he'd be on three meds a day. The groups I belong to are wondering "why we didn't fight harder" and my only answer is the vet gave up on us and on the cat. There was no: "here's what we can do, let's try this!" The demeanor was he's doomed, don't waste your time. We did the best we could to feel confidence in him, but we don't think he was the right person to handle our cat. Maybe someone that was more proactive, motivated and didn't leave such a feeling of doubt in us as we walked away empty handed would have been a better experience. Also compounding this with a $1,200 invoice as we walked away without our beloved baby. All of it a terrible experience. The only saving grace was the young lady who handled the paperwork. I wonder what other pet owners think of that doctor.

Since changing to Sycamore Vet my experience was fantastic. Dr. Weiss was excellent in caring for my little girl. Most recently, I received a card in the mail signed by every one at Sycamore vet sending their condolences. It was unexpected and absolutely appreciated. I just remember when Melody was being to show signs of arthritis. Dr. Weiss prescribed a couple meds which almost immediately resolved the symptoms. Can't say enough abt my positive experience with Sycamore other than to say I wish I'd taken her there sooner. Excellent group of people at Sycamore. If I ever decided to get another dog I would most definitely bring her here. Thanks!

I made it abundantly clear when scheduling that I would need to be given Oxytocin in the event of complications which I was told 'of course, no problem!'. I took her on February 9th, received her radiographs and was then made to wait about 25 minutes where they could 'see about the prescription'. Once I was given it, I went through Chewy to order it (on February 9th) and staff neglected to approve the request for two entire days full well knowing Bay was due on Friday, February 13th and I stressed it's importance. I made phone calls, sent texts and was told a doctor would get back to me. I then was told it was my responsibility to upload the script to Chewy (which I couldn't find anyway) - which I then contacted Chewy and was told that was incorrect and they had been waiting for my vet approval this entire time, Chewy even called them and received no response. Regardless if I had the script or not, it was not my responsibility and the office did not prioritize my pregnant dog nor her puppies. I eventually was contacted on February 11th around 4pm by the practice manager who told me her staff did not feel comfortable prescribing the medication anymore after I spent $400 on the vet visit and now wasted two days. Fast forward February 12th - Bay goes into labor and as I expected, needs assistance from the drug; but I do not have it because Doylestown Vet had my hands tied and denied my dog the care she needed for a successful labor. I make an emergency trip to the ER (an additional $900 expense) she delivers 3 deceased puppies and 3 living puppies. We head home and now her labor is stalled again and the ER asked me to use the Oxytocin my vet should have responsibility prescribed me as standard repro practice. But here I am, unprepared because Doylestown chose ignorance over the reality of whelping puppies. I understand vet school and ethics, but if you care for some field experience, there's a big reality check here at my house because of your lack of concern for myself, my dog and her puppies. Shame on you for putting me in this position, stalling to tell me you had a change of mind about my dog's care, and then running down the clock so I had limited options on how to proceed finding her the care she needed. Edited to add, we are now a week out from Bay's delivery and I have had zero follow up from this practice. Ethics? I don't think so.

Based upon the booking screening, it was clear that the company is professional, well-run, and focused. We were very happy with the arrangements until, in the middle of our vacation, we were told that our dog had an episode of weakness and was rushed to our vet whose information we provided at booking. Andrew stayed with our pet and transported him to the overnight Emergency vet for observation. Everything turned out fine and Andrew picked up our pet to finish his stay. EUTHANASIA (500 stars, A+): Moriah Hughson was wonderful on the phone during my intake call to Lap of Love. Her gentle voice and compassion for me and my dog was palpable. Dr. Karyl Hurley was wonderful when she came to my residence - she made my dog's last moments on this planet comfortable and the process went very quickly. Dr. Karyl wrapped my baby up in so many beautiful, fluffy blankets for her final departure from the house . I was honestly very concerned about the prospect of carrying my dog's dead body out of my house for the final time, but Dr. Hurley treated her body with the utmost respect and care and it was not nearly as traumatic as I anticipated. If you have the means, Lap of Love is the most peaceful and dignified way for your beloved family member to transition. Thank you, Dr. Karyl for gently escorting my dogter to the next dimension. CREMATION (2 stars): Now for the negative: I opted to have my dog's ashes sent directly to my house since my primary vet is a mobile vet and didn't have an "office" for the cremains to be sent to. I received an email on Feb, 8th from Leigh Skarzynski, the "Crematory Relationship Administrator" (this was two days after my dog was euthanized) saying it can take 10-14 days to receive the cremains back. Fast forward to 5 days after my dog passed - UPS shows up at my house unannounced on a Saturday (Feb 10) with a package that required a signature. I was asleep in my bed, depressed, and didn't feel like answering the door. I figured it was a condolence gift from someone and they would leave the package on my porch. When I later realized something was being delivered that required a signature I simply figured I would sign the authorization slip to "leave it" and then get it on Monday. On Monday (the 12th) I just so happened to be home when the UPS man came, and as he walked up to my stoop I could see "PET CREMAINS" in big print on the box in his hand. I immediately broke down in tears. I started crying out, "I didn't know, I didn't know she was coming!" How did no one tell me she was coming on Saturday? She sat on a truck for two days, and I could have had her sooner! The guilt was eating me up. I reached out to Leigh Skarzynski immediately to tell her that my pet's remains showed up completely unannounced and outside the anticipated delivery window, and she responded that an email had gone out Friday (Feb. 9th) at 6:30 pm. I scoured my email (and I even have UPS Delivery Manager) and wrote back that absolutely no notice was sent. She suggested it went to spam. FAST FORWARD to February 13th - 5 days after the first attempt to delivery my pet's ashes and 1 day after already having possession of them - and I get an email from UPS saying that the cremains would be delivered on February 14th. Are you f'ing kidding me?????? My dead dog (assuming there was no mix-up...) is back in my possession and now I am getting emails about her cremains arriving? I forwarded this message to Leigh, again, as proof that I DID NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE THAT MY PET'S ASHES WERE ON THE WAY, and that email has gone un-answered, sent more than 24-hours ago now. I firmly believe that the crematory partner should email Lap of Love or the pet parent directly when they ship the cremains. I do not know how this utter lack of communication happened with such a sensitive situation, but it definitely pissed me off and left a sour taste in my mouth. I will say that the cremains themselves were packed with care and I am happy to have her home (again, assuming it's really her...the delivery drama planted a seed of doubt) but I really could have done without the delivery trauma and poor communication from LoL and their crematory partner, Abbey Glen.

It was extremely difficult to get through to anyone when calling to check on our dogs. When making my reservation, I was told there would be communication about how our dogs were doing.
