Excited to see sbarro pizza here. Not so exciting to find wiring looking pubic hair if staring at me from behind a pepperoni. Cheers

There's even outdoor seating and a rooftop (pretty sure I spotted that), but with it being 30 degrees out, I kept my Missouri-born self firmly indoors. I was seated right away and handed both the full menu and their daily lunch menu, which comes with two choices: vegan or non-vegan. Plot twist -- even the non-vegan option arrives as a full-on sampler platter with a veggie dish included. My plate came stacked: fluffy basmati rice, rich butter chicken(top middle), tender chicken tandoori (top left), a hearty vegetable curry (top right), three massive slices of fresh naan, and a little dessert to finish things off. All for fifteen bucks. Fifteen! It's easily one of the best lunch deals downtown. Everything was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor -- except the dessert (bottom middle), which was cold(because it's supposed to be, but still super tasty. Zayka absolutely delivers on bold, authentic Indian cuisine at a price point that just feels unfair to everyone else. The buffet must still be an option, but not Thursdays apparently, so I'm already planning my return trip.

Five people were in our group and they seated us quickly. This place isn't necessarily "fancy" but they have a pretty decent seating area with an entertainment area that is private. Good size portions; my wife wasn't a huge fan of her mushroom masala, but I enjoyed the tikka masala "it's always what I order." Others with us enjoyed their lamb curry, and the garlic naan was also nice; think and but not to crisp. We don't drink, but the people with us said the drinks were very reasonable. Also got some gulab jamun for dessert. Tasted great, but I wish they were bigger or there was more than two per serving. Our server could have been a bit kinder and more knowledgeable of the menu, but the owners are great and so is the food. Definitely recommend coming here.

The inside was very colorful and pretty. Nice bar area too. The hostess was quick to greet. We got sat down very quickly. They were quite busy that Sunday evening. That's a good thing! The menu is bigger than their sister shop! Alot of different region food flavor of India. We order some cilantro chicken, dosa, garlic naans ofc, chicken 65, and chicken tikka masala. It was very good. Always impress with the delicious and freshness of the food. Highly recommended if you love Taj Mahal, you will enjoy the food here at this location.

Very tasty and pretty local Indian restaurant in Springfield…read more Each table has nice simple glassware with vases, burgundy cloth napkins and silverware. It's a simple setup yet it somehow makes the restaurant feel very elegant. There is good variety in the menu. I went for the classic Butter chicken with Naan. And it was amazing. Some of the best butter chicken I've tried! I got the mild spice because I'm unfortunately bad with spice and it thankfully was not unbearably spicy and it actually added quite a bit of flavor. One of the workers proudly shared that her husband was the cook of the butter chicken. Makes me think that perhaps the restaurant may be family owned. But I'm unsure. Regardless, I will definitely be coming back to try other menu items.

That was a little bit of a downer just because you can sample various things to see what you like when there's a buffet. That didn't stop us though. The staff were pleasant and the restrooms were tidy and well-stocked. The restaurant was clean. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!

The inside was dimly lit with tables as you walk in and to the back. There is also an outside seating area. We ordered at the register and our food was brought out to us. The menu is easy to understand, but the staff was able to answer all of our questions and explain different menu items in detail. Everyone was nice and welcoming. I got the Hotstone Bibimbap (suggested by the lady who took my order because it continues to cook when served, making the rice crispy and vegetables hot. I chose white rice topped with bulgogi and spicy shrimp. For sauce, I chose Sesame and Kochi to a little add extra kick. I had the kimchi put to the side. It also came with a miso soup . This whole combination was so delicious. Stayed hot the entire time and was plenty enough to share. The Yaki Soba, which is a noodle dish, was also very flavorful, came out fresh and hot. The Japchae was equally delicious and full of flavor. The sweet potato noodle of this dish was different, but still pretty tastey. I recommend leaving this for the experienced eaters. Lastly, we tried the kimbap. It was a typical kimbap, nothing stood out. Everything came out fresh, cooked to order, and hot. The price for everything was very reasonable. I would dent come again.

For how late it was, it was pretty busy! The staff was super great and accommodating. The menu looked fairly similar to Indian food, with some slight differences. We hopped in after 8pm, which is when they stopped serving the authentic Nepali food. Our server told us to come back during lunch and to get the Lunch Set combos. The ambiance was great. Smelled lovely. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures until after we had eaten and the menus were gone. For appetizers, we got the Paneer Pakoda (deep fried cheese in a Chickpea batter) with a sweet and savory dipping sauce, and the Samosa Chaat, a potato and pea curry deep fried in a batter, smothered in a sour cream or Greek yogurt, red onions, herbs, spices, and the same sweet and savory sauce/chutney. Think loaded baked potato, but phenomenal flavors and great texture. Honestly probably my favorite. We got the chicken biryani to share. So delicious! It came with a wonderful raita sauce (similar to a tzaziki - yogurt based with cucumbers and herbs and spices). The flavor combos were out of this world delicious. We are definitely coming back during lunch to try more authentic Nepali food!
