On a weekend break to Chester, we had spent the entire day walking around the Roman Walls and doing a river cruise, and as it was late when we got back to our hotel we hadn't really booked anywhere to eat for that evening. We were searching for restaurants on-line and stumbled upon this one. We decided to give it a go as it was getting late and glad we chose it! We pulled up onto the street and were unsure of what we would find, but the restaurant is really noticeable from the outside as it looks so tasteful compared to what else is on the street. We were warmly greeted by the staff. We noticed how tasteful the restaurant is decorated with individual tables, not too close to each other, and quite privately situated with stylish leather chairs and cosy, ambient lighting. The restaurant is surprisingly large but still warm and inviting. My wife has special dietary needs so it often hard to find something spur of the moment to suit, but the waiter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and very friendly indeed. We did not feel invaded at all and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was plentiful, fresh and looked gorgeous. Everything tasted wonderful, you could taste all the individual herbs and spices, and it was probably one of the best Indian meals we had ever had in a restaurant! The prices were really reasonable for food and wine, and all of the staff provided excellent service, and were very friendly. All in all we had a lovely evening in a perfect romantic setting and would certainly recommend to anyone and return on our next visit to Chester! read more
