During a recent Topeka visit we decided to stop by and check out this place. Being vegetarians we were looking for something that offered us some good choices and Yelp had good recommendations. We were not disappointed, and will certainly return. Food was certainly tasty and loaded with flavor. You can always tell the quality of a restaurant by the naan. Certainly fresh out of the oven and had good texture and quality. Paneer Tikka Masala was tasty and we had plenty of leftovers. The one thing about most Indian/Asian restaurants is always the quality of service. They seemed a bit rushed to get us out of there as we were finishing up our meal... Even though it was still 10 minutes away from closing time.

Wonderful Indian restaurant in a strip mall in SW Topeka. I ordered the special Biryani with a mix of chicken, lamb, and shrimp. I also added an order of naan. They offer four levels of spice and i went with level 3. The meal came out after roughly 10m. It was delicious! Not over the top spicy but, you definitely want to have water close by as you are eating it. The Naan was served warm with gee. I could only eat half my meal and will enjoy my leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Service was excellent as well as my water glass never went dry. I will be back!

A pleasant dining experience, was my first time at an indian restaurant so i don't have anything else to compare it to but all the food i tried I really enjoyed, everything had a good flavor, service was good and it was very clean inside. They did not skimp out on the amount of meat in the dishes, everything was made perfectly. I would 100 percent recommend the mango lassi beverage and the samosas as an appetizer.

Amazing service, and great mutter paneer. Also the garlic naan is delicious. There's also a very short wait.

Had the best chicken biryani. It was definitely worth the wait in this cozy establishment. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.

Best service in Topeka! Food was amazing. Butter chicken, although not on the menu, is a hidden gem.

Very tasty entree. Will return. Friendly people. If you're new to Indian food, don't hesitate. Medium heat might be too much for some.

I was in Topeka last weekend with my friend Rebecca K. to do some shopping, and she suggested stopping here to take the food back to Manhattan. However, I worked up a hunger and we decided to eat an early dinner. The restaurant opens for dinner at 4:30 PM. We arrived right before 5 and the France v. England third place World Cup Match was on. I got a mango lassi and we ordered chaat papri for an appetizer. I decided to order a lot so I could bring some back to Eric R. who loves Indian food. I got the badami chicken kebob as I had never heard of this but it sounded amazing. I also got lamb vindaloo. Rebecca K. got her own dish and garlic naan to share. The chaat papri game out with three chutneys on the side and it was SO good. The badami chicken was marinated in yogurt, lemon, almond paste, and spices. It was served with onions on a sizzling platter like fajitas! We got plenty of basmati rice with our meal. It was absolutely delicious. I had lots of food to take home and share with Eric R. the next day. The service was also excellent. I will definitely be back here to try new dishes, especially since there are many that I do not see typically on Indian restaurant menus.

The restaurant itself was clean, and our server was attentive and friendly. A couple of people in our group appeared pretty satisfied with their meals, but as someone who loves genuine spice and great Indian cuisine, my dish really missed the mark. The Food Breakdown: Chili Chicken: I was expecting an authentic, fiery Indian chili chicken. Instead, while there was a decent amount of chicken, it was mostly loaded with peppers and onions and tasted much more like a Chinese-style sweet and sour chicken. As far as heat goes? It had about as much kick as a fake fireplace. Garlic Naan & Sides: The garlic naan was actually the best part of my meal--fresh and full of flavor! Unfortunately, naan doesn't pair great with sweet and sour sauce. To make matters worse, unlike other entrees on the menu that came with rice, mine came out completely on its own ("in its birthday suit"). The Price & Verdict: For the quality and execution of what I received, it felt pretty overpriced. The naan was around $6 and the entree was a shade over $20. While others at the table had better luck, if you're looking for deep Indian flavor profiles or real heat, you might be disappointed.
