I tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. I am new to the area and this is the second Indian restaurant I've tried in my 3 blocks radius of my apartment. I must say, it was very good. I ordered it takeaway and after being asked what spice level I liked, I told my waiter that I usually get medium but I do like spicy foods. He said they would make it traditional Indian style. It was perfect.
I ordered several things to try and now I have plenty leftover.
I ordered the Chicken Amritsari - appetizer chicken wings. They were delicious. A must to order.
I tried the chicken Tikka masala. Very good as well.
We also tried Dal Maharani-a great flavorful, hearty entree.
We had the Chili garlic naan- it was okay, I was hoping for a little more heat and garlic, but still good.
This will be my "go to" for my Indian cuisine fix now.
Also, my waiter was extremely personable and attentive.
The one down side was it seem to take a little long for my order but the food was worth it and the waiter was apologetic and attentive. That won't stop me from going back.
The one thing I've learned when ordering with Indian restaurants here, you must specify if you want rice, even if they don't ask, they don't automatically assume you want it. read more
