This is for a to-go order. We got aloo paratha, chicken tikka masala, lamb korma, garlic basil naan, and plain basmati rice. We also wanted onion baje but they didn't have any. The two entrees and potato dish were excellent. The naan was just okay. The last time we came here (pre-covid) the interior was beautiful and somewhat of an elegant setting. We were shocked when we walked in last night. It looks like it's going out of business. Dirty tabletops, no nice tablecloths or centerpieces like before. So confused on what's happening here, shouldn't be this hard to order! Food is good (not amazing but good), but both times we ordered online they never saw order and when we went to pick up they told us to use the Clover site specifically, then call to make sure they got it (....ok but sure). Fast forward, Clover is no longer working, so we tried calling and no one answered. Decided to just go in person and place is completely empty, no staff onsite. Waited and shouted hello until finally found someone in the kitchen who said person who takes orders is not in and who knows when they'll be back. I'd been coming here for 10 years. It's gone downhill badly. My go to order was the combo dinner for two. Went from $45 base price in 2023 to $60 (so if you order delivery, with tax fees and tip you're paying about $85-90). Two stars instead of one because the food is decent. Just not a good value. We order from here about once a month. I like the chicken vindaloo (extra spicy)and my wife&kid always enjoy the yellow curry. We get basmati rice of course, and cheese naan & plain naan for dipping. As a side note, their chicken is always all white meat. Not my favorite really as I prefer dark meat chicken but it's fine and worth noting. Also, be sure to check your order because once in a while there may be a missing item. We had to go back and get our missing naan we'd ordered and they didn't seem to care at all. Hmmm No apology. Chicken Tikka Masala has minimal chicken (3-4 pieces TOTAL) and it's incredibly dry to the point that it doesn't absorb any of the masala. Can tell the masala is over salted as well. I've been eating here for years and it's been steadily going down hill. Ordered from Postmates saag paneer aloo gobi, cheese naan and veggie samosa. First, the samosas. Once delicious pyramids of crispy glory are now flat tiny triangles. I always ask for no tamarind but extra mint chutney, and they used to have an option for buying a bigger container of it...and I always would (because nothing in life is free). But horror of horrors they neglected to give me ANY CHUTNEY. Even with several friendly order notes because it's my favorite thing on the planet and it's gotten left off of several of my orders. At first I was really worried it wasn't great cause the prapadum came out a little burnt and service was dry (which is NOT a bad thing at all). But the food is very delicious and the dinner combos as ideal! I got the tandoori chicken and that was great white chicken meat cooked perfectly. And also tried chicken archer for the first time and obsessed now. Warning- medium is HOT. I handle hot chicken and Thai food all the time without ish, but this one got me a little woah. The mushroom bhaji was also quite good. The ambiance was nice although we were the only one's dining in. There were about 3 take out orders in the hour we were there. The reason for two stars is the owner. We had checked in on Yelp which gave us a 10% off coupon. It clearly stated valid for dine in or take out from 11 am to 9:30PM. When we presented it the waiteress looked worried and went to the owner who was in the corner watching TV. He made the waitress come over to our table and tell us they would not honor the coupon. No reason was given. When I insisted and asked to speak with him, he refused to come over to the table to explain why the coupon, which was clearly valid, would not be accepted. He eventually did accept the coupon but never came over to explain why he tried to avoid it. The total bill was around $45 so we are talking about $4. Pretty terrible customer service. read more

You know the food isn't half bad but it comes with poor service and attitude. Ordered the food to go 3 hours ahead of time. The small parking lot was jammed at 5:00 on a Sunday even though there was only one couple that had just been seated. I walked up to the counter and was ignored by 3 different people for several minutes while they argued whether the pan of tandoori chicken should be covered with saran wrap or aluminum foil. Finally one of the 3 acknowledged me and I stated I was there to pick up my order. I was informed it wasn't ready to which I responded I'm double parked and blocking several cars. His response was "Oh oh". I gave him a death stare and he told me the order would be ready shortly. I went outside and was able to find a parking spot. When I returned the order was ready in about 5 more minutes. Just an aggravating experience to the point I may not want to try again. If you like your Indian food spicy (I do) this place puts on that deep heat that makes Indian spice so good. I'm on the hunt for the best Indian restaurant in LA and unfortunately this wasn't it. Let's start with the positive. The chicken Tikka Masala was REALLY good. the saving grace for the meal I ordered. The cheese Naan was good as well - not dry and had a good amount of cheese. The vegetable samosas were fine. However I don't expect Indian restaurants to mess these items up. They're super popular. My issue was the lamb seekh kebab. It looked exactly how it tasted (see picture...insert poop emoji). It was dry and did not taste good AT ALL..the only reason I took off two stars was because of this lamb. And for $14, I expect more. I would order the chicken Tikka from this restaurant again but not the lamb, definitely NOT the lamb. read more

VERY disappointing mixed tandoori grill! 1 sad piece of chicken, 1 shrimp, 1 kabob and 1 small chunk of lamb. And a couple strings of grilled onions. 20 bucks for this was definitely shocking, but the food isn't even seasoned. There's no flavor! I'm pretty surprised by the good reviews here. Would've given 1 star, but the chicken tikka masala was edible, rice and naan bread were edible. Everything else was average, but the mixed tandoori grill was a huge let down. Not impressed. Ordered delivery through the Grubhub app where their restaurant was rated very highly. To start with, they completely forgot my mango lassi (which is always my favorite part of having Indian food). I also upgraded one of the entrees to a dinner option that was supposed to come with salad, rice, plain naan and dessert. I asked for them to substitute garlic naan for the plain naan, and they did not. I also ordered a separate order of garlic naan and STILL received regular naan. All of the curries taste exactly the same. Ordered the paneer tikka, aloo gobi, and tandoori mixed grill. Seems like they just dumped paneer and aloo gobi into the same sauce and served them as two different dishes. They also offer a coupon for a free mango chicken kuffta if you spend $50, but it tastes the same as the 2 entrees I paid for-- gross. The mixed grill meat tastes old. Shrimp and fish were dry and overcooked. The dessert that came with the upgraded dinner option is literally one tablespoon. My boyfriend and I came in here on a whim the other night and it was SO GOOD! The vegetable masala was Full of a variety veggies (a lot of other places use potato's and carrots as fillers). It was super flavorful and complex, Top 2 masalas I've ever had. We ate it with the spicy pepper naan and it was honestly the perfect combination, we were so happy. The family who I believe own the place took our order and they were very nice and took good care of us. I'm so happy I found a local Indian place, and I can't wait to come back to try more vegetarian things off the menu.
