Overall, solid experience! My girlfriend and I got the chicken masala & Lamb w/ rice bowls. The lamp was cooked perfectly, it was super tender and soft when I bit into it. My girlfriend also got a samosa which she really enjoyed (comes with a dip/sauce). We got a garlic naan as well which we liked, however, we wish the garlic had a stronger taste to it. Lastly. I got a rose drink that was pretty sweet and my girlfriend got the mango lassi which was thick and creamy. I would give it a 5/5 if you could sit down and eat but it's only takeout (sadly). I ordered takeout online and picked it up at the location. There was plenty of parking in the East Lake Village Shopping Center parking lot. I walked down the alleyway, and as soon as I turned the corner, I saw the red pickup stand. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala Rice Bowl, Garlic Naan Bread, Samosas, a Mango Lassi, and the Lemon Rose drink. Everything was really good! The chutneys were also really good with the samosas. So stoked to have fresh, delicious, authentic Indian food here in Watsonville!! I ordered over the phone and had all my questions answered patiently and politely. I'll order through their website next time, but calling allowed me to order our favorites AND cover our family's allergies. 90% of our order was dairy-free, and the majority of that was also vegan. Gluten-free options are also available if that's your thing. For reference: - Chicken vindaloo is dairy-free. - Samosas, spinach saag, and chickpea masala are all vegan. - Naan is vegan IF you skip the ghee (clarified butter). - Veggie korma has cream and is NOT vegan or dairy-free, but was my absolute favorite item today. Delivery was fast and I was glad I wasn't dealing with a delivery service that takes a huge cut from small businesses (like Dash that takes 20%). The delivery person was sweet and we had a great convo about how they are the folks everyone enjoys at our local farmers markets and they want us to be able to enjoy their food at home, too. Overall a pretty good experience. I ordered pick up and good thing I looked at the yelp images that show were it is. You have to drive through a small driveway, next to Dollar Saver, and through the back alley. They have a small tent that helps you know where to stop. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala Rice Bowl, Garlic Naan and the Samosa. Chicken Tikka Masala Rice Bowl: Solid flavor and decent amount of chicken. I just wish there was a smidge more Tikka Masala and a tiny bit less rice, so that I could dip my naan in. Garlic Naan: Absolutely humongous and delicious. Samosa: Comes with two sauces. I definitely liked the brown sauce with the samosa but the green sauce (maybe Saag) was a great pairing with the garlic naan. Definitely order a least two items so you can mix and blend flavors, but overall a pretty good experience of food and service. No real ambiance because it's just a kitchen with take out. read more
