The freshness of the ingredients, including vegetables, fruits and meats, is obvious in everything they make, from soups and salads to the entrees and deserts. Even fine restaurants in NYC can't reproduce the freshness that comes from vegetables that are organically grown and picked that day. Speaking of the big city, the menu isn't cheap, but prices are still less than NYC and well worth the cost given the quality. We made same day reservations for a Friday night and the hostess seemed harried and unsure whether she could fit us in--but there were lots of empty tables when we sat down at 7 pm. And the service was a little uneven, mostly due to the youth of the staff--understandable given the semi-rural location. But none of this detracted from a delicious and memorable meal.
