This decision to change my life couldn't come at a better time & I couldn't have done it without your help. Thank you so much Kelley for giving me my life back.

Something was off I just couldn't pin point it. Waiting 90 min plus to be seen for a simple script is outrageous. Any time the doctor was going to give me my medication instead of having to go the pharmacy, I could hear Roselyn telling him he couldn't do that and he would have to write me a prescription. Guess they only do that for the patients that Roselyn likes. My last visit I waited over an hour and left. I did well on the program and did everything that was asked of me. I have continued my weight loss journey on my own and have had great success without having to deal with being treated badly when I went to the office.

The Doc listens to your concerns and develops a plan. After really a thorough battery of test another consultation, the plan is explained in detail. I am now down 89 pounds. I am no longer on blood pressure medicine and my a1c numbers have dropped significantly. I feel stronger and have a lot more energy. I go to IM as a supplement to my family physician as cookie cutter medicine did not have the answers I needed. My primary care physician was impressed with the testing that Dr. Petteruti performed and really impressed with the results. So much so that I only need to see her once a year. One issue I had that IM's testing showed was a high level of heavy metals. As my career was spent in manufacturing, that is not surprising. The chelation IV drips are addressing that issue. Again, my primary care doc is all on board with Dr. Petteruti's treatments. Big box medicine addresses symptoms in a wack -a- mole methodology. Dr. Petteruti addresses the root cause to help you be heathy.

I'd like to make it very clear that this review is ONLY about Miriam Hospital's weight loss…read moreprogram. I have experienced surgery and follow up hospitalization there as well as being treated biweekly for 1.5 years in the Men's Health Center. So I want to make it clear that both hospital and staff are great in these programs. But my experience with the weight loss surgery program was disillusioning and also had many red flags that indicated it was MUCH more about making money than it was about the health of it's patients. The first obvious issues arose in the orientation program that is the very first step in the process. Of the 20 or so people at the seminar about a dozen obviously didn't need something as drastic as surgery. Most were very young women who would be considered slightly overweight but who were nowhere near the point of needing such a drastic blow to thier healthy, young bodies as invasive surgery. All attendees to this seminar had suppossedly been screened previously to being invited. The next red flag was that you HAD to lose some weight prior to the surgery and that you HAD to use thier protein shake program wherein YOU HAD TO BUY THE SHAKES FROM MIRIAM!! Even though the exact same Name Brand that they used was available much more cheaply in the retail market. The final straw for me was the initial consultation with the surgeon who would perform the surgery. I had used protein shakes in the past and I had an issue with terrible heartburn. I expressed my concern at least 3+ times with the nurse and the surgeon and it wss compleatly ignored. The surgeon had a condescending attitude. He spoke from the perspective of assuming that I'm desperate for the sugery as I suspect that many of his patients are. I truly feel that the program is a scam preying on people who are truly desperate to lose weight either for genuine health concerns or due to the societal brainwash that women must be anorexic to be attractive to men. BEWARE of this program!!

The Dexa scan went well, i am…read morehappy with the test and the results and appreciated the time we spent walking through it on screen. The VO2 max test surprised me. I am not sure if it was accurate or done incorrectly. I have been lifting weights and running my whole life, with the addition of distance running the last 6 years. I have trained for and run 6 half marathons and the boston marathon. My garmin has my VO2 max estimated at 49, and my max heart rate in my workouts and races gets into the 180s. The test said my VO2 max is 35 and my max heart rate is 151, and gave me heart rate zones with that being the max so its very low and not useful for me to do anything with. I was hoping to validate or get more accurate depictions if my heart rate zones vs what garmin estimates with my watch and garmin heart rate chest strap. The person who administered the test was friendly and great to meet with. **UPDATE** DexaFit offered to re-test me for free. I appreciate this gesture. The re-test put me at 52 which aligns with what I expected. Great customer service thank you!

The 'office' is built in the end of a small strip of shops which is not particularly nice. Arrived for my appt and Rocky did the dexa scan and then the second test i signed up for. From the lobby you move aside a large curtain to the room with the scanning machine, a lot of extra space, a couch and a large TV screen. 6-8 minutes for the scan and then was led into the back room, a small and very beat up space, for the second test. Which also went fine, and took only a few minutes. While I was resting for that test is when I noticed how gross the space was. It seems clear that whoever owns the location just run the operation there for a long time while investing zero in the upkeep or cleanliness. Was led back to the second room where I was given a presentation/ summary of my test results - all within clear earshot of another person waiting in the lobby. This is IMO a HIPAA violation but just seems plain wrong to do. I might try a dexa scan again one day as Im not sure I believe the results were accurate but 100% would not go back to this beat up place.

When I checked in, the front desk staff member was not warm or welcoming. I initially assumed she was just having a difficult day, but shortly after, I overheard her speaking with a colleague who was going to conduct my consultation, saying that she did not think I would be able to afford the program. I was extremely disappointed and felt judged before they even got to know me or understand my situation. No one should be made to feel that way when they are coming in for help and taking steps toward improving their health. During the consultation, I was told they would contact my insurance and follow up with me. I was left with the impression that they were going to work with me, but I never received a call back or any follow-up. I hope the staff understands how important it is to treat every person with respect and not make assumptions based on appearances or circumstances. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way.
