I am the first to review this place and it has been in existence serving the Filipino community for over 35 years! First the ambiance, don't let the two tables at the entrance and beside the kitchen fool you. Further in, the stairs leads down to 6 tables that seats 4, 2 tables that seats 6, and i long table that seats 8. Service is the best! The owners are warm and accomodating, they will walk you through the menu and make you feel home away from home. The hours vary, because they want to accomodate most customers. But generally, M-F 10AM - 3PM, they do take a break but remain open then hours continue from 6PM - 10PM, sometimes all the way to midnight. The understatement: they will feed you! Now the best part, the food. They charge about 15euros for a plate with rice and 2 entrée or for the same price, go for the buffet which includes 1 drink (best deal). Please take note, their cuts of meat are thick! They don't skimp on the meat or the meal, so the buffet is the best deal. Now, for our seafarering community, they also have goods from back home to avail, from food to hygiene items, they have quite a few. They also have religious items from local Portugal to bring back home. The place is definitely family friemdly. Now, I can only imagine how busy this place gets during the holidays. But on a regular summer, you can enjoy the food, have some alcohol or other drinks, kickback with karaoke. Yes, you read right. You don't need to be drunk to enjoy the karaoke, and the crowd always encourages you to let those talents out. Just youtube how many endless Filipinos and karaoke posts you can watch. There's a couch for the weary, the tipsy and the singers alike. The wall is a graffiti of memories from seafarers who visit, from amazing people who work in cruise ships that dock. Sign in and make your mark, I came, I ate, I drank, I sang, I conquered! Do I recommend this place? Yes! Especially for those who want to venture Filipino food, this is as close as you get away from the islands. read more
