One of the cats by choice was 19, but the other one was 18 and was dropped off at the farm house and lived in the barn all summer until the kids found her (Fuzzy) we called her, so she was older because she was an adult cat and already fixed. No one claimed her as we notified local vets and sheriff office of found pet. We also was down on savings one time and they let's us charge the bill for 30 days. While visiting the area I needed to take our Golden Retriever to get a cytopoint injection because…read moreshe was extremely itchy. I called Suttons Bay Animal Hospital and they scheduled the appointment for the following day. Dr. Kayla Piskorowski was the vet we saw and she was phenomenal. Caroline, our golden, isn't a fan of going to the vet but the way Dr. Piskorowski talked to her and examined her made her think she was just getting loved on and she didn't even realize she was seeing the vet. It was probably one of the vet experiences we've ever had and I would not hesitate to revisit that office again if we were ever in the area.

Serious concerns for all pets…read more I dropped off my senior cat at 8:30 AM for a sedated shave, but she was not seen or sedated until over 5 hours later, with no attention or monitoring during that time. Blood work taken around 11 AM showed high blood glucose, which can make sedation riskier for senior cats--another reason why this delay was dangerous. No sedation reversal was administered, and based on the records, there was no post-sedation monitoring. She was sent home too quickly, disoriented, unable to walk properly, and clearly distressed. Cats over 12 years are roughly twice as likely to suffer anesthetic complications, making proper monitoring and recovery time critical. Even 48 hours later, she was still not fully recovered. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable bringing any pet here and would caution other pet owners to consider this before choosing this practice.

I scheduled a haircut for my 4-month-old puppy. At no point during booking was I told she does not…read moredo haircuts for puppies under 5 months. That was only mentioned once she arrived at my home, after the appointment had already been set. From the beginning of the visit, she seemed annoyed that my puppy was barking and commented that she was "loud." There was no effort to help my puppy feel comfortable or ease her into the grooming process, which is especially important for a young dog's first grooming experience. I also told her that my puppy tends to resist handling and she responded with "too bad". She proceeded to put a neck leash on her and began dragging her when she would not cooperate. I expressed concern about the use of a neck leash and the way she was being pulled, and she responded that my puppy was "fone"and that she "wouldn't strangle herself." Throughout the entire appointment, I was extremely worried about my dog's safety due to the cold, dismissive handling of a very young and anxious puppy. In addition, we were not satisfied with the result. We paid $105, and she did not provide an all over trim which was the entire purpose of booking the appointment. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this groomer. A gentle, patient approach and clear communication about services are essential when working with puppies/animals, and neither was provided here.

Between caregiving, work, and constant travel, my own needs--and my pets'--have had to take a back seat. She responded with genuine kindness and compassion, and even stayed late on a Friday just to fit us in--knowing we wouldn't be regular clients. Not only was she incredibly accommodating, but she also did an amazing job. My pup looked (and smelled!) so much better and clearly felt great afterward.
