I don't know if it was the giant (ACTUAL) tree trunk in the middle of the store, the calming array of houseplants (which, despite my brown thumb for indoor plants, I love so much), the terrarium building bar (again--I would fail miserably but OMG so pretty), the amazing ceramics and planters, the small but excellently curated collection of art supplies (many imported from Japan!) that had me asking myself if I needed more pens, the small batch chocolate bars, and so much more. There are so many cool nooks and crannies here that it took me three passes before I felt like I had seen/considered all my options. In the end I bought 3 plants (and they're all still alive!), two chocolate bars, some stickers, and a few other small bits and bobs. Already yearning for another trip back there! I can't wait!

First of all, I am super grateful that there is a Home Depot an Traverse City. we have had a great experience with them on a 99% of the occasions where we have gone there or needed something or ordered something. When I call, a wonderfully pleasant woman answers and helps me out. When I go, I can always find someone to help me come out which is a pretty neat trick and given the worker shortage. While I always try to support local businesses when I can, there are times when you need the selection or the value of a Home Depot, and this location does just a good a job as any other!

I tried many times to purchase solid surface countertops through them. I tried in person, but waited 20+ minutes after the department was called and provided no service. I called multiple times, but after being transferred they simply hung up (this was not an accident, it happened multiple times). Appointments cannot be made, apparently the can not answer their phone, nor can they return calls.
