Words can not capture how amazing my wedding florals were; from my gorgeous bouquet of mokara and cymbidium orchids (I was delighted with the surprise of added lady slippers) to the dramatic cascading phalaenopsis at our round wedding altar to the stunning arrangement of dendrobiums that greeted my guests on arrival. Can you tell I love orchids? The process of deciding on my wedding florals was so easy with Ronn's guidance and I loved meeting with him and his team at the Vaso Bello salon. He totally understood my (orchid) vision and we made adjustments together until I was happy and the results did not disappoint! On my wedding day, Ronn's presence meant so much to me. This showed me that he really cared and personally checked in with me to make sure that I was happy (I was thrilled!).Selecting Vaso Bello Celebrations was one of the best decisions for my wedding and I am so grateful to Ronn and his team for making our day so special and beautiful!

Some of our wedding flowers were absolutely beautiful. But the most important ones, the ceremony…read morearrangements, were a real letdown. The quality felt inconsistent, and when we reached out afterward, we never heard back. If you're thinking about booking them, there are a few things we wish we had asked up front. We hired Vaso Bello for our wedding at La Quinta Resort in May 2025. We met with a few florists, but Ron stood out right away. He seemed to really get what we wanted. Even though the quote was a little higher than others, we felt good about putting our trust in him. His style is beautiful and the reviews were glowing, so we felt confident we'd be in great hands. To be fair, some parts of the floral design were exactly what we hoped for. We loved the terracotta vases on the dinner tables, and the flowers in our lounge area were absolutely stunning. They were full, colorful, and just gorgeous. That part truly felt like us. But that same care didn't carry through to everything. The ceremony florals, which were supposed to frame us during our vows, ended up being really underwhelming. They felt small, dull, and nothing like what we had imagined or discussed. They didn't add any real impact to the moment. Those arrangements are now in all our ceremony photos, and it's hard not to feel disappointed by that. We emailed after the wedding to share how we felt and ask if they could offer any explanation or even just acknowledge it. We never got a response. We're not sharing this to be harsh. We know how much work goes into weddings, and we truly believe Vaso Bello is capable of beautiful designs. We just didn't get consistency, and the lack of follow-up made it harder to move on. If you're thinking about working with them, we'd suggest being really clear about which floral moments matter most to you. Don't assume that just because something is in the proposal, it will be prioritized. If your date falls near a big flower weekend like Mother's Day (which ours did), ask how that could affect things. And don't be shy about checking in before the wedding to make sure everything is still on track. We hope this helps other couples going through the planning process. Every couple deserves to feel great about their wedding day and their photos. Update: After we posted this review, Ron reached out, apologized, and offered a refund for half of the ceremony florals. We appreciated the follow-up and the gesture. It didn't change how we felt about the experience overall, but it did show that he cared and wanted to make it right.

She knew when to ramp up our frequency of meetings and she also knew when to tell us to relax and not worry about stuff. We like that she comes with the aisle planner software and lets us access it. She was very accessible and we knew we could count on her to respond quickly even if our question was not urgent. As our florist in addition to our planner, she helped a lot with some last-minute florals that we wanted to do and made sure everything happened very smoothly. When we couldn't find any freshly squeezed juice near me Melissa was eager to help and make sure we had that by the time of the wedding. Everyone was impressed at how quickly the venue was able to transform between the different stages of the wedding and how knowledgeable Melissa was. I think she is just trying to get that part of her business up and running, but she should definitely stay in her lane. So much went wrong, so here goes. Her budget was way off. She did not return calls in a timely manner until it was brought to her attention. Not a big deal? Ah, sadly, there's more. We found out day before the wedding that her computerized version of seating arrangements was "just an approximation." So seating was way off from how we had imagined and we had to make last minute adjustments. She does not know how to run a rehearsal and announced to all that she had never seen a wedding like ours before! (The men walking to the front while bridesmaids walked down alone). This was followed by her lining up all backwards and everyone was trying to tell her it was wrong. So much confusion that the pastor finally took over saying, "Friends, I'm now running this rehearsal." She should've been embarrassed, but she wasn't. The day of the wedding she asked me how to display the table menus - one for each table. I had previously asked her how many frames to bring and she told me. I brought extra, but it wasn't enough. No problem, she said, we can just put the ones without frames up against the centerpieces. How tacky! As guests began to arrive, a friend asked where she could put her wedding gift. When I asked Alyssa, she said that "no one brings gifts to weddings anymore," so there wasn't a place for them. The wedding was to have bubbles on each seat. Not on mine, and I'm the MOB! Didn't get to blow bubbles for my daughter. And others felt the same way. What part of "every seat " is hard to understand? At the reception, wine was to be self-serve on the table and would then be replenished as needed. When I noticed some friends had no wine, her lame excuse was that she thought it would be nice to serve our guests. But those glasses were empty!! There's more but you get the picture. Along the planning way, when asked for lists of what she should be doing and when, her response was that we had no need to worry because it was all in her head. But it clearly was not. We paid a lot for her services. Almost $6000, not including flowers. The day ended up beautiful but because we had to work around her. Such a disappointment. The most disappointing things is when I reached out to her to discuss all of this after the wedding, she took absolutely no responsibility for anything. She actually thinks she did a great job. I'm here to tell you she did not.

Monterey Country Club: Community, Class, and Unmatched Value!…read more Joining Monterey Country Club has been one of the smartest decisions I've ever made. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted by name and treated like family -- it's that rare blend of warmth, professionalism, and genuine community spirit that makes every visit feel special. A huge shoutout to Bobby and Kaitlyn Ellis, who always go above and beyond to make every day at the club an absolute pleasure, and to Juan, the Membership Sales Manager, whose kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail make him an absolute gem. This staff makes you feel not just welcome, but known -- and that's something truly special. Beyond the incredible service and the beautiful course, membership here also comes with access to the Palmer Advantage program, which is a total game-changer. It opens the door to play at country clubs across the country -- both public and private -- under the Arnold Palmer management umbrella. Most of the clubs I've visited through the program don't charge a green fee at all -- just a cart fee, typically between $15 and $32. That's an unbelievable value, and I've been taking full advantage of it, especially now during the desert's overseeding break! Monterey Country Club isn't just a place to play golf -- it's a community that feels like home. If you're even thinking about joining a club in the Coachella Valley, do yourself a favor and check out Monterey. I promise you won't be disappointed.

*Monterey is a Wonderful Place*…read more The guard gated community is beautiful and peaceful... The condos/homes are spacious, light & bright with high ceilings and beautiful views of the golf courses... The swimming pools are all nice but kinda small...and the jacuzzi spas aren't hot enough... The gym is very old & outdated in need of a major facelift and better equipment & dumbbells. I've rarely seen a gym I didn't like nor can't deal with until this one. And happy I wasn't forced to workout at this facility... The Clubhouse tho is very nice...and Letty at the front desk is so friendly & welcoming...and sweet as can be... But the star of the show is/was Dennis at the Clubhouse restaurant/bar. Friendly cool dude who know's his stuff, has extensive experience in the restaurant/bar industry, provides amazing & professional service...and he was able to keep up with me while talking about sports :) Had their Ahi Tuna for a pre dinner Appetizer and it was fantastico. The "center-cut ahi tuna" was extremely fresh...and all the flavors of the dish paired very well. They do something with the sauces that's not common -- they use hoisin sauce, instead of sweet eel sauce, and together with their spicy tuna aioli it's a perfect combination. Because IMO, most eel sauces are too sweet & sugary. Compliments to the Head Chef. We intend to comeback one day for brunch because believe it or not, their Lox & Bagel Plate is only $13...and the funny thing is, when we saw that on the menu, wifey & I discussed a return visit in the future...and when we began our conversation with Dennis, discussing their menu, he told us "you need to comeback another day for the $13 Lox & Bagel Plate" and we all had a good laugh about that. My only complaint is they close the Clubhouse restaurant/bar @5pm...and it'd be nice if they stayed open later. Because I'd most defiantly linger to watch a ballgame on one their large flatscreen tv's...and spend more money on food & drinks...and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would. But all & all...Monterey Country Club is a wonderful place, centrally located in the heart of Palm Desert, right on the borderline of Rancho Mirage.
