Many inches needed to be taken off on the sides while only a couple inches were taken off in the front. The final product after corrections was perfect. Not seen: the second seamstress also corrected a crooked stitch on the bodice of my dress that caused some gathering, and she also simplified my dress that was given 20 bustle strings to only have five.

She said that she could do it, so I trusted her expertise--in fact, the first fitting she kept going on and on about how experienced she was and that she could charge higher prices because she was very good at what she does. I got my dress back and I cannot wear it to my wedding. The corset top is not flattering at all--it gouges my skin out, falls down, and overall looks very awkward and not how a corset top should look. The sweetheart neckline folds over, showing the lining in the dress. It looks very unprofessional and bad. When I told Cheryl that I was not happy with the dress, she said that she didn't think there was much else that she could do and she basically blamed me for wanting something that she wasn't able to do with her skillset. I told her that she shouldn't have taken my money and told me that she could do it then when I first told her what I wanted. I then asked for a refund and she refused. After four hours of back and forth texting in which Cheryl was pretty rude, she only refunded me $100--not even half of what I paid, even though the dress is unwearable--not to mention in worse condition then when I gave it to her. I am very disappointed with the results and would not recommend Cheryl's Alterations to anyone due to this experience.
