They seem a straightforward business and that's quite a bit better: one price, no funny business. You enter from the alley behind Main Street. Two of us arrived at the same time and they were quick to take care of both of us. My car is a 2012 I bought as a demonstrator in early 2013. There shouldn't be much of a problem. Even though it's a diesel-powered car, the rules have changed and the state requires smog testing. In any case, after they finished with the other person's truck, they put my car in the bay and checked it thoroughly. They found no problem, and created the form, as well as transmitting the results to the state. They were friendly and efficient.

Took my rv there for inspection and a few repairs. They had it for 1 week. They did an oil change…read moreand replaced a roof vent and fan assembly. I was never given a list with items to fix. They fount that the driveshaft carrier bearing was bad. Also all brake rotors are bad. BS. Took it to a legit shop. One rotor is bad. Also monkeys used spray foam to seal the roof vent. It is not waterpproof and will need to be taken apart and have the spray foam removed and replaced with a proper sealant. That was $200 down the drain. They told me for all the repairs that my unit needed would be around $4000. And they couldn't even handle a simple roof vent replacement? At one time this shop had a great reputation. The new owners seem to have no clue about what they're doing. I would avoid them and will never go back to their shop.

So I took my RV motorhome, for a Service B Oil Change. I was quoted $180 and when I called back, a…read morewoman told me that it would be $300 because it's a diesel and it's a Mercedes. For some reason they could not remove the code after they did the oil change. And when I drove it home, I saw that they had overfilled the oil. The Service fee includes an inspection. They told me that I needed new front tires. So I got a quote from them and from another company. Monkeys said they could not do it the next morning. It would have to be in the evening. The other company said that they could do it right away in the morning. So I took it to Ripon to have my tires replaced. I asked them to also check the rear tires. Only the front tires needed replacing and upon checking the rear tires, he found an eroded battery cable. The RV would've blown up if I had driven it anymore and it would've caused a fire. Monkeys completely neglected to inspect the vehicle. I would not recommend this company to anyone, be very careful because they are doing a very shoddy job. The Ripon company also is only charging $200 for the service B. So not only did I get ripped off. They did a terrible job. They could not remove the code. They overfilled the oil. They did not do a thorough inspection. This company needs to be shut down. I never dealt with the previous owners, but I feel that they probably did a great job but the new owner is Jay and he's never there. And they do not share the owners information so if we have a complaint, we cannot talk to the owner. This one woman is working there. It's like a one woman show. She doesn't know what she's doing. She's just a receptionist, but she acts like she owns the place. If I was the owner, I would fire her in a second.

I had no time for price comparisons, I had only one day where I was not too sick and loopy to get the service completed. Although I was a little spacey and talkative at the time due to the medications I thought I was in good hands because they (Rob & Mike) seemed down to earth and super friendly But that was not the case in the end. I don't know if it's because I am black or obviously disabled that prompted the extreme price gouge. All day my attitude was pleasant and I was constantly praising God for the little things praise worthy in conversations with other customers. I paid the bill chocking it up as a convenience fee as I knew I would not be able to have this done for another 6 mos and cancer/chemo in the summer heat is not an ideal situation. Bases on this isolated experience I would never go back to this shop and I would never recommend it to anyone because I put my best foot forward letting my light shine and they still chose to over charge as if I was not going to write a review.

Definitely coming back to LE for my future car repair needs.

Been here a few times for smogs. The owner is nice but since the prices went up here for smogs, I've been going to Tinnin's A1 Smog off Main St. The people are nice there as well but much more affordable. read more
