I have been visiting Health Day Spa usually once a week for about five years…read more My go to person lately is Susan. She provides exactly the massage I request. Swedish massage, medium, not too hard. Most massage spas offer soft, medium, or hard pressures. I prefer soft to medium. That's exactly what I ask with Susan and that is what I receive. If you want a hard deep tissue massage, I'd recommend Carmen. She's very experienced and knows exactly where your pain or discomfort is, and believe me, she will definitely get your pain out. Depending on your pain, depends on how much pressure Carmen will put on you. Two different times, Jenny (the owner) performed Thai massages on me. She does not offer that massage. She only performed Thai massage because I have been going there for years. Omg, that was so painful. However, when I walked out, my body was like jello. At that time, I didn't live far away. I was able to drive home and fell right to sleep, waking up totally refreshed. Today, Susan worked on me. I always get a 90 minute massage, which costs $98, plus I give 25 to $30 tip. That's just me. My tip is giving extra thanks. Today, though, I caught myself snoring twice. I love Health Day Spa. It's dark, always quiet unless a guest is talking loud. There's soft relaxing music playing. As I have mentioned before, everyone that works there does not speak English well. I suggest you speak slowly and clearly, or use your Google translator, as I do. Jenny, Bill, and maybe a couple other employees will understand English. I have also mentioned, if you want a happy ending, go somewhere else. Health Day Spa is 100% legit, with trained massage therapists.

It's a chill place. I did the 60 min foot reflexology and acupressure for $55. The acupressure consist of shoulder massage and arm massage. Foot includes thigh to foot. It was great!! It hurt so good. Lol. My feet felt happy and refresh. The guy that did my massage did an amazing job. He didn't introduce himself so I didn't get his name. Barely talk and just did what he needed to do. I might try the body next time, need some more work on my shoulder.

First time here on a Sunday. My mom comes here for her massages with therapist, Ada. I recently…read morepulled a muscle so I thought I would give this place a try. I called on a Saturday afternoon to book for a Sunday appt for 2 people. We showed up on Sunday & there was a miscommunication so our appts were not in their books. Bummer. They thought we were coming the day that I called. Uh, wrong day. The person over the phone sounded really unmotivated. It was hard to understand him also. My spouse spoke mandarin to him to do the booking. So if u call to book, PLEASE MAKE SURE you are clear over the phone WHICH DAY you are booking for. They eventually found an available female therapist and I went in a room to get started. After 20 mins, they were able to accommodate my spouse for his massage. They made it happen and I appreciate them being flexible. Here goes my detailed review: AMBIENCE: First impression - BASIC. Nothing fancy here. The rooms have walls that DO NOT connect all the way to the ceiling, so what that means is that you might get to hear ur neighbors talking during your session. The room is nothing but basic, no bells or whistle, no fancy candles or aroma smell, no dimmed lights either. Bed and a chair inside with some hooks on wall. It's not a zen place here. It's a place to get ur kinks and knots out on ur body. There was spa music that plays in there tho. Let's be real, it's no Napa Valley spa here. You get what u pay for. CLEANLINESS: It felt clean overall. Head rest on bed had a disposable sheet for you to lay ur face in. I can't guarantee they change their bed sheets after each guest but I hope they change the flat sheet that is under the blanket tho. I also assume everyone keeps their underwear on under the sheets. PRICE + MENU: Affordable. That's why I decided to come here and try it out. I did the $65 an hour full body massage. See my price list photo for more pricing info. They also offer foot massages too or combo. Pay cash is best here. They charge extra $2 for each credit card transaction so keep that in mind. OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Good. I will come back and try again. My therapist, Amy, seems polite. No one rude or anything there like other Yelpers mentioned. At least I didn't encounter anything too unpleasant while I was there. My therapist spoke cantonese so it was nice to communicate and feel she understood my needs. She got all the knots I needed to get out from my shoulder. Just know that at the end of ur sessions, most asian massage places will use HOT towel to wipe u down completely after they lotion you up during ur session. Some might think it's a weird process if they are not used to asian massage places. So just keep that in mind. It's like they just gave u a towel sponge bath lol. Me and my spouse both got the full body massage, total cost was $130 ($65 each). We paid about 25% tip. In total we paid $160 cash. That total price is pretty much what I usually pay at the Equinox Spa for a 50 mins massage for one. Of course, there is absolutely no comparison. It's like comparing a Bentley with a Honda Civic. Not fairly comparable. But like I mentioned - "what u pay is what u get". I think my $65 was VERY WELL spent. My therapist took off the pain I had so it got the job done. I do recommend trying it out here if you are just looking for muscle relieve in an affordable way. Not a place I would send someone a gift card or anything. But I'll be back again when if I run into any pain issues again. I took off one star for the shady ambience and also the questionable bed sheets on whether they changed it out (or not) after each client. But as for the interior decor, they could definitely use some help. A remodel would make it feel more welcoming. It's just really dark inside, nothing fancy at all. It gets the job done. Go give this place a try

This didn't feel like your typical massage. Felt like a PT and massage session combined in one - but in the best way!!! Every step that she did, she would walk me through what she's doing and what felt tense, what can be done at home or work to continue finding relief. She's incredibly knowledgeable in what she does which is truly reassuring! The space is located in Sola Salons - just an fyi when I was using Apple Maps for direction, it led me to the other side of the shopping complex (maybe it's just me and pregnancy brain lol) so I was a little late to my appt but she was so understanding. Once you enter the salon, she's to the left in a nice cozy space. I highly recommend Rieko :)

However, during our appointment, we heard people calling in to make appointments, so it's probably recommended. I think this place is a hit or miss. I had an amazing massage by Lucy, who seems like she just knows knots when she touches them and is able to work on you pretty well. My partner, however, had someone who he had to ask to put more pressure, and in response, the therapist said "you might need a male therapist if you need more pressure." This is unfortunate, but I think it really is the luck of the draw. We found the most off putting thing about this place is that they charge a 10% surcharge to pay with card. For example, an hourlong massage is $50 in cash, but $55 when paid on a credit card. I do not share the opinion of most of the low-rated reviews where they ask you for tips. Our therapists did not do so, and also, it is completely reasonable to tip more than normal since the massage prices are lower here, especially if you receive a great massage. However, the marked differences between the cash and credit card prices was a turnoff to us, especially since it is random whether you get a skilled therapist or not.
