In January I received a gift from my sister, who lives in the Midwest, who found In Flower in Brea, California. I called in and spoke with an employee and we spoke about the arrangement that I wanted. She asked that I send a photo of what I wanted and that she would call me back after viewing the photos and let me know if this was something that she could do. We exchanged texted and she assured me that it wasn't a problem. And asked for the vase style that I wanted. She then inform r me know that they have pictures on their site and that I could choose from them. However in the meantime, she'd send me pictures of the arrangement that she had come up with in an hour. 3 hours later I texted, to follow up because I hadn't received a text or any pictures. The shop then responded with, " All designers are different so our style is more like our website. If you like the succulent one from the photo then maybe that company's designer might be able to help you". That was extremely passive aggressive and rude. If this design wasn't something they could've done, they could've mentioned that earlier this morning and we could've come up with something different or I could've chosen florist. I am now pressed with time trying to scramble and find a different florist for an appointment that I have tomorrow morning! Thanks for nothing. I came in last minute, with the door sign posted closed , but the door was opened. So I thought maybe they just forgot to flip the sign. They were definitely closed, but the lady was so sweet. She allowed my daughter, and I to pick out a Bouquet of assorted flowers. She was very detailed, she took them to the back to clean them up and wrap them so nicely, we didn't even notice the flower had a little pearl on them. My older sister had hired Jennifer 5 years ago to do flower arrangement for her wedding so I know she is a real pro when it comes to decorating venues. When my best friend was planning to get her wedding done the right way, I recommended Jennifer to her, and it was the right decision because Jennifer had scheduled us for 2 appointments; 1st one is to figure out where my best friend's budget is and exactly what style she's looking for, and the 2nd one is to show us her sketches of her design (with samples from her past projects) and what flowers she's going to use so we have a clear idea of what my friend will see. Jennifer has this upbeat personality and open to ideas from the couple, she always answers phone calls and emails within 2 business days the latest (I'm not joking, she usually responds back within a day), definitely on time on the day of the wedding, and on top of that, she has a well of knowledges on flowers (certain flowers are ok to use for certain months, color choices, designs that allow flowers to last longer, etc). This place is amazing. I stopped by today to pick up some flowers for my wife for our 5th anniversary. The two ladies there were very nice and helpful. The shop looks fantastic. The plants are so nice I ended up buying a low light indoor plant as well. A money tree. My wife couldn't have been happier with everything. We have received several bouquets and plants from friends and family after the loss of a family member, so I can make clear comparisons. The bouquet from In Flower was beautifully styled. Because they're not locked into a Teleflora description, they can use the flowers that are most beautiful in the shop. Our arrangement had the biggest lilies I've ever seen, big roses, orchids, tulips, stock, freesias, and darling tiny mums. The buds have opened, but none of the other flowers have died, and it's been a week. They're still alive and drinking lots of water. The arrangement was especially beautiful - I can't say enough about the florist's artistry. I called this week to place an order for funeral flowers, and Abby was very easy to work with. A very welcoming flower shop that is opened until 6:30pm which is super convenient so you can buy flowers for a special someone after you get off your shift. The shop is very homelike, warm, and welcoming. The young lady who I ordered the flowers from greeted me with a big smile and broke down the prices for me for the daisies I was looking for. She wrapped the white daisies that are $1.25 per stem with 8 stems all together and created a beautiful piece for me to give to my girlfriend on her birthday. The flowers were wrapped with a choice of colored wrap which I chose blue. She also attached water feeders on the bottom of each stem to keep them fresh for the drive. Overall, I was very pleased with the service, the great flexible hours, and the affordability for what you get here. Definitely plan to be back! read more

I had a great experience ordering flowers. In a unfortunate event these flower were for a close family that just recent lost their mother/wife. I originally called to see if it was still possible to send flowers on a short notice. They explained I could look online and select the style of flowers I wanted to send. They did let me know because it's a little difficult to get flowers at the moment they would only be able to work with what they had. I decided to go into the store and tell them exactly what I wanted. I have a fear of online ordering anything but I know now that I can trust this flower shop to do justice to any online order. I selected a combo of something between the pastel and delicate photo. Made sure to be clear that no lilies were added, as I knew the person that passed did not like those flowers. I'm sorry I did not get the girls name that assisted me but she was very kind and patient with me in making a decision. My flowers arrived the next day. They text me a photo of what the flowers looked like and I was blown away by just how different and beautiful the flowers were. The family was so happy to receive such beautiful flowers, they said they represent their mother so well. They even let me know there was a lady bug detail and pearls on a stem I believe and they adored it. Trust them with your flowers. These were the most beautiful flowers that a florist has ever created for me! I have purchased, had delivered, and been delivered many flowers in my 60+ years, and these were the most unique and beautiful. Jennifer was so helpful and is an artist! These were for my Mom's memorial. We wanted colorful flowers because she loved them. We also DID NOT want typical boring memorial flowers. (IE: roses and gladiolas shaped into a circle or triangle, like most of the other florist's photos near her had posted on their Yelp reviews.) Jennifer created amazing arrangements with spectacular and unique flowers, including jasmine, which was my Mom's favorite. The flower arrangements are quite expensive from here, as a small arrangement starts out around $60 and goes up from there. However, they're unique and I can pretty much always tell when an arrangement is from here because it'll be distinct and unlike the average bouquets you typically see elsewhere. I've received many compliments on the numerous arrangements my husband has purchased for me from here, and the flowers always smell very fresh and last a decent amount of time. So, why the low rating? Besides being pricey, I'm disappointed in this place because I threw down an obscene amount of money for two gigantic arrangements for a funeral that was personally very dear to me. I was pretty much willing to pay anything because these arrangements were that important to me, and I emphasized the importance of these flowers numerous times to the sales associate. On the day of the funeral, I was completely disappointed when I saw how puny the arrangements were next to everyone else's, who had all purchased their flowers from other places and for far cheaper too. The flowers they used also looked wilted and the arrangements looked cheap, which is the opposite of what I had paid for, considering I spent hundreds. I was completely devastated by this and haven't ordered flowers from here since, simply because of this giant disparity in what I requested and paid for, versus what actually showed up. Because of how important these arrangements were to me, I don't think I can ever justify coming here again, even though I liked all of the smaller arrangements I received. Lesson learned - don't trust this place for any significant flower needs you might have!!! read more

I recently had Jenny as a vendor for my boss' wedding at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library. She was our second florist appointment and having been disappointed from the previous appointment (the consultant was vague and not knowledgeable about types of flowers we wanted, what was in season, etc) and suffering from a serious case of sticker shock (our quote was for well over 4500$) we went in wary of florists. Fortunately, Jenny was wonderful to work with. I prepared for my boss a detailed presentation showcasing her favorite arrangements and inspirations for her theme. Jenny was able to pinpoint what flowers were in the arrangement just from looking at the picture and made it a point to work with my boss' desired theme/colors. We were pleasantly surprised that Jenny was a much reasonable price and even offered a "cash" discount. Throughout the 8-10 months since the original appointment, Jenny has been easy to work with and extremely professional. On the day of, the arrangements were flawless and she was able to cope well with a little hiccup in the case of our hand painted gold tealights (which reminds, DO NOT paint glass with acrylic paint, it peels off like you peel a banana. Such a pain!). Our cocktail arrangements were beautiful and elegant (placed in clear square vases with crystals and the bottom) and our gold manzanita tree decorated with hanging crystals garnered compliments all night. Now, even though I've showered Jenny with compliments so far and I would have to say I would probably recommend her again if I were planning another wedding in the OC fair, our experience did have some disappointments: -the flowers wilted which to me is horrible. The arrangments, still today, are lasting. But, the grooms boutinniere died not even making it halfway through the cocktail hour and when I phoned jenny about this she never responded. Big no no. Day of emergencies always happen and your florist shouldn't be rushing out immediately after set up. The toss bouquet we had commissioned also died early on, to the point we couldn't even give it out and the bride had to relinquish hers in its steed. -her clean up procedure. Most venues will require you or your vendors to clean up their mess. Typical routine, right? Well not for Jenny. She didn't clean up the ceremony area nor have any intentions of picking up her rented equipment vases, stands, etc. We had to ask her a few times to clarify the procedure but in the end were able to store her things for her at the Nixon for pick up the next day. A little clarification in the beginning would have went a long way! The aforementioned "unfortunate" situations by no means mean that I had a negative experience. Jenny's work was complimented throughout the night and she went above and beyond to fulfill my boss' expectations. As with all high stress situations, things can go wrong and become frustrating but in the end if your client (aka bride and groom) are happy, pleased, and their guests won't shut up about how "this is the best wedding ever" I give kudos to whomever made that happen. This was a great find. I needed to get my wife a nice bouquet for, well just because. I called ahead to see what they offered and they were really helpful over the phone. She explained that they had both pre-made options and could do a custom bouquet for me. Coming in, its a nicely set up store. It's a bit on "the high end" being that this definitely not just a flower shop just above a grocery grab flower. They do offer wedding styling, flowers etc. It was a great experience. They were helpful in helping me figure out just what I wanted. I had some good options in their pre-made cooler. Ranging from about $20 for a loose bouquet to about $80 for vase of flowers. While they were nice, they were not exactly what I was looking for, so they gave me a book of examples to go through to get a price point and idea. I ended up picking a style and told the girl to just go for it. She put together a great set up and I could not have been more happy. There was some nice little touches to the way the boxed it up for travel and explained how to strap it down in the car for safe transport. Then the little lady bug and peal pinned into a few flowers and some tiny lady bug close-pins to hold the card for the flowers; all were loved by my wife. I would definatly use them again. read more
