While I waited for a while, I had to go back to work and he said it would take a while to run the diagnostics but that he would call me. Being a military member I can't be away for too long so I said it's fine. He asked me if I was sure it was the pump fuel module and I said that's what the computer told me but if he could run a diagnostics and give me a call and he said sure. He then called me and said he could have the truck fixed by the next day so I said to proceed and just call me when it's ready. Once I picked up the truck I paid around $1800 and not even 15 min after leaving the truck turned off so I called him and he said he hadn't ran a diagnostics and had just changed the pump fuel since that's what I had said I thought was wrong. I didn't want to argue because I just wanted my car fixed so he said to just bring it back and he'll fix it. He ran a diagnostics this time because I brought my husband with me and turned out it was the pump fuel module. He said he was going to order it but it's back ordered and if I could get it that he would replace it. He had one of the workers pull it out of the car and as I watched them all they did was unscrew it and pull it which was less than 5 min. I went online and ordered the piece for $250 and then brought it back the next day, he said to leave it since he was super busy but he would have it done today. When we went to pick the truck up, he had charged me more than what the piece was worth seeing as it was a job that didn't take long to change out and I ordered the piece since he couldn't find it. I can say I am never going back and wouldn't recommend this place.

Wasn't the closest mechanic but we went out of our way to go to him. Super nice and a straight shooter on what your car needs or doesn't need. It's a small shop and they're always busy with cars already there from the day or days before, so they may not be able to get you in and out that day which is totally fair and understandable! Best to call or get there first thing in the AM and Melvin & Kurt will absolutely do their best to get you in as he can with the jobs they've already committed to. He runs the shop, works the cars AND also answers the phone, so don't be discouraged if it rings for a minute or you have to call back, he's only one guy! Only reason we left is because we moved out of state but I would recommend Melvin and his crew to anyone. Thank you Melvin!
