I went to an emergency dentist on Thursday 2.20.20 to see if they could at least help with the swelling and bring down the infection that was starting again. They basically told me, good lucky kid and pushed me out the door with a list of oral surgeons to call. Reach out to a few but Dr. Skigen's office was literally the most helpful and friendly I had spoken too. The office ladies there are FANTASTIC. They told me to head over right away for a quick consultation and work out a plan to get the teeth out! I went in and was told they could remove the teeth same day. I went in around 8:30 and was out with teeth gone by 11:45. I'd say a pretty successful visit. But what really makes me give this office a 5 star review is the willingness they did to work with me and work with my budge. If it weren't for those wonderful office ladies and extremely patient assistants, I would still be suffering. I can't thank you guys enough!

I was much younger at the time and I was not informed of the impact it would permanently have if I removed BOTH molars on one side of my face. I think it just made their job easier to remove them. Never ever came back here again and never will.

I had to do some research, as my health plan is out of state, in order to find an oral surgeon that would be covered by my dental policy. I was given Steven Mantegari's name from a service rep. I checked him out on Yelp and he had very good reviews so I scheduled the appointment. I'd been thinking about this for week's, wondering and worrying. Upon arrival I was greeted by the receptionist who asked me to fill out some health forms. The waiting room was small but clean with the television. I completed the paperwork and was back in the exam room within a few minutes. Dr. Mantegari was nice and made me feel comfortable. He took a look at the spot and advised that looked like scar tissue and there would be no need for a biopsy. Yay! This was the best part of my Monday! I did have to pay for the office visit as my policy only covered two a year and I used those at the dentist for my cleanings and exams. But they accepted payment for what my insurance company would have paid for the visit so it was not bad. I am thankful to Dr. Mantegari for easing my fears and giving me some peace of mind back! I would absolutely recommend his office if you are in need of an oral surgeon!

I didn't realize it until I was halfway home and looked in my car mirror. The tooth with the root canal was still there. When I called the office, their answer was basically "do you want to come back now and we'll pull the other one?" After what had just happened, I was terrified to let them touch me again. I've now lost a healthy tooth I can't get back. Replacing it with an implant will cost thousands, and I still need the original extraction done somewhere else. Confirming the correct tooth before pulling it is the most basic step in an extraction, and it didn't happen here. If you go here, make them confirm the tooth number with you before they start.

I contacted the office and was told to hold while they spoke with Dr. Batah. He declined to see me because his schedule was full & suggested I go elsewhere - MIND YOU I SAW HIM THE DAY BEFORE & WAS CRYING IN PAIN. The pain was unbearable & so after calling a few places I found a dentist would could see me at that moment. During my visit with the next dentist it was determined that the filling was done incorrectly as in to much of the tooth had been drilled out and I would now need a root canal - this cost me about $1600 out of pocket after insurance. I forwarded all the bills & records to Dr. Bateh's staff Kay and I heard NOTHING back from them. After this experience I have since found a new dentist who was able to determine that most of the fillings Dr. Bateh did had to be fixed, I have now spent hundreds of dollars now having the issues corrected.

My gag reflex is so bad, I start heaving once the dentist walks into the room. Shamefully, I once punched a dental hygienist in the leg while she was cleaning my teeth and accidentally let the motorized brush hit the top of my lip. I felt so bad that I sent her flowers the next day (oddly enough, she did not consent to taking her out to dinner). To quote the great philosopher Jerome P Seinfeld, 'I am an anti-dentite.' No matter how excruciating that dental visit is (yes, I do take anti-anxiety pills before going for my twice yearly checkup)... Dr Michael Spencer has made my experience slightly less awful. For that he deserves an award because I'm pretty sure most dentists around town charge my insurance company double for (as my attorney friends call it), pain and suffering caused from my mere presence. The girls in Dr Spencer's office, in addition to being smoking hot, are kinder than Mother Theresa when I walk in the door. They also hande my extreme dentalphobia with the upmost of professionalism and always crack jokes to make me (somewhat) at ease. When Dr Spencer walks into the room (I think he now knows to sneak in so I don't dry heave my way out the door) he will tell me what's about to happen and very patiently waits and pauses whenever I'm having a tough time in the chair (yes, panic attacks have occurred, see: punching hygienist). While no dentist experience will ever be great (that's like you volunteering to sleep in a tank of black widows), Riverside Dental has proven to be the most tolerable I have found... And I have left quite the trail of quivering hygienists in my path.

I worked for years chair-side in dental offices in my younger years I can really appreciate application of great basic practices as well as talking a patient through the procedure calmly. I also appreciate in this day and age of greed in the medical industry to not have the price be the motivator to the doctor and practice.
