My immediate attempts to make an appt with Dr McClure (Lauren) were hopeless...Was advised would be 4 wks as 2 of his associates had left practice & he was short-staffed. Thank God I found Gerich Endodontists in Jacksonville who immediately started taking steps to resolve & save my tooth....CARING, PROFESSIONAL & SO DIFFERENT THAN ST.JOHNS ENDODONTISTS. Referring a patient out for a questionable treatment does not resolve the root problem and shows the lack of integrity of St. Johns Endodontists overall by this Endodontist..... I have had so many people reach out to me since posting across my Social Media about Dr. McClure's uncaring, unprofessional nature, outrageous costs, postponed or erroneous information given to them, one even today that stated that once he found out she had no dental insurance her fees doubled, as well as the "consultation quote." What a shame St. Johns Endodontists would employ such an individual in the dental/medical avenues. I came to ClearChoice Jacksonville with the hope of restoring my smile and improving my quality of life. A smile is personal -- it affects your confidence, your comfort, and how you show up in the world. Unfortunately, my experience as a patient has been extremely disappointing and stressful. After beginning treatment, I experienced ongoing pain and complications that significantly impacted my daily life. As my concerns increased, I made multiple attempts to communicate directly with the Jacksonville ClearChoice office and resolve my concerns privately before sharing my experience publicly. During my visits, I raised concerns regarding my care and the environment where I was receiving treatment. One of my major concerns was repeatedly having to remind staff about hand hygiene before gloves were placed on. As a patient trusting a dental office with an extensive procedure, I did not expect to feel responsible for repeatedly advocating for basic safety practices. I am also a disabled veteran and communicated my disability-related concerns to the office. During one of my visits, I noticed a dog present inside the dental office. I asked the front desk receptionist whose dog it was, and I was informed that it was the dentist's service dog. I expressed my concerns based on my disability and my need to feel comfortable and safe while receiving care. I requested consideration regarding my treatment environment. My concern was not about denying anyone else's accommodation. My concern was about communicating my own disability-related needs as a patient and requesting that they be addressed respectfully. Unfortunately, I left the interaction feeling that my concerns were not handled with the understanding and compassion I expected from a healthcare provider. As my pain continued, I requested my medical records and treatment documentation so I could fully understand my care and provide the necessary information for continued treatment. Despite multiple attempts to communicate and follow up, I have experienced delays and a lack of response to my requests. What has been most upsetting is not only the physical pain, but also the feeling of not being heard as a patient. I made every effort to communicate respectfully and provide opportunities for resolution before sharing my experience publicly. After exhausting those efforts, I am sharing my story because patients deserve to make informed decisions when choosing a provider for something as important as their health and their smile. Nobody…read moreever wants to hear that, but at least he had somebody he could refer me to which was northeast Florida and Dr. Robinson. Initially I thought I was going to need three teeth pulled but Dr. Robinson recommended only two and explain to me the reason why he was going to recommend two instead of whole three. I also explained my need for deep cleaning and he took the time to measure the gums when I didn't have an appointment for that so that I could get my deep cleaning to coincide with my teeth that needed to be pulled since I need to be sedated because I'm a big baby They were pretty quick to get me scheduled in within two weeks. And well, they don't accept my insurance or they are considered out of network with my insurance. They will go ahead and file all of the paperwork for me. The office staff was extremely friendly. The doctor was very knowledgeable and the doctor also called my dentist while I was waiting on the price quote to make sure that my dentist and him were on the same page. Not excited to have my teeth pulled or the deep cleaning, but I'm very happy that I was referred to this place. I love the type of sedation they give you because it's not IV. I just hope it's going to be enough lol follow up with another review after my procedures
