As a child I didn't go to the dentist much, if at all. My mother was a single mom with three jobs and didn't have the time or money to take me like I should so I never got the opportunity to build any rapport or longevity with any dentist. I have been to a half a dozen different dentist in my adult years and haven't felt like they had my best interest at heart. Most seemed like they just wanted to suggest things to keep you coming back again and again whether you needed to or not and regardless if it could be done same visit. I just about gave up on finding my dentist "home" until a coworker recommended Bahri. She had nothing but great things to say and explained that she has been going to them for years and even has her son going to them so it's a family dentistry! I thought, well, it's been 2 years since I last saw a dentist and, should probably go, so let's give them a try. I called to make the appointment and they got me in that same week! They were so flexible with my schedule and made it so easy. They even emailed me a link to complete my new patient forms online and took me maybe 5 minutes to complete. So simple! I will say that finding the place took me a hot minute. I had the address and found the right spot, saw signs pointing to Bahri Dental Group but it took me to a college. I soon figured out the dental group was inside the college right through the main entrance. It would have been nice if they mentioned that when I made the appointment but I'm pretty intuitive and just figured it out. I walked in and told them my name and they immediately asked me back to a room. No forms to fill out or waiting around! They made me wash my hands (covid) before doing anything. They dis xrays, cleaning, etc. in record time and really focused on making me comfortable while be efficient. After they were done, the doc came over and did his exam. Explained to me what I'm doing well and things to consider to make my dental hygiene better (without pressure) and the. Set up my next appointment. My husband then made an appointment and was booked the very next day. He needed a crown and they made the crown impression and then plugged it into a computer and then it made some noise and produced the crown just like that. Like maybe 5 minutes! They have some of the better and high tech equipment to make things so efficient and avoid needing to make duplicate appointments. All I can say it between me and my husband, we both had great experiences. Mine was more simple because my teeth has no issues or cavities but even my husband who needed a crown and had 3 cavities, if was still an efficient and good experience. I will never go back to that office. They think patients are stupid. The waiting time is too long. I paid for an implant. it wasn't done properly; the quality of work was mediocre. the assistant not professional, she asked me to pay while I was still on the chair with my mouth open. I took my 12 and 19 year old to Bahri for the 1st time and it was a great experience. Gaby Bahri recommended to my mother that two of my front teeth be pulled when I was 12 in 2007. This recommendation was negligence and I've been living with the implications ever since. Both of my upper lateral incisors grew from birth with an anomaly, the baby teeth grew fused with adult roots. At the professional behest of Dr. Bahri both of these teeth were extracted, my canines grew in sharp and were moved, along with the rest of my upper teeth towards my central front teeth. I was given an estimate of two years that I'd be wearing the braces they were removed 5 years later in 2012. When the braces were taken off I was so dissatisfied with the work that I refused picking up their retainers. I've only recently been able to fully process and confront the situation, the malpractice was recorded with photos and x-rays. A simple tooth cap or veneer on both teeth would have solved the situation, I'm left with the bill for a new set of braces and two dental implants. No one from the office has reached out any way to provide compensation. read more

I saw a female dentist- unfortunately I can't remember her first name but her last was Bahri. I have never had a better experience with a dentist. She was kind and patient. She recently did some extensive dental work on me and I could not have been more comfortable. The roof of my mouth is still bruised the next day bc the nasty rude X-ray tech Rachel does not know what she is doing. She took almost 30 radiation pictures and was like "the machine has a mind of its own." she yelled and berated me throughout the whole procedure like "what's hurting?? This?? And points at the plastic around the hard square thing she wants me to bite my entire mouth over. Do not lead me to believe I am the only one that thinks that hurts. The roof of my mouth is literally bruised so clearly I am not imagining it. She shoved it so far back that I had to pull the device out and gag while she's laughing it off. She refused to take my medical history, forced me to say "No changes" bc it was easier for her. I haven't been there in over four years. Had just one question and she rolled her eyes and kept saying it's "up to you." Over and over again with clearly an annoyed face. When I asked her to please ask the doctor she yelled "fine!" And stormed off. She clearly has issues. Awful. I've decided I'm not coming back for my follow up. read more

I went here last year due to the high ratings and proximity. Everyone was very friendly, however, the woman who did my x-rays left my mouth in pain for weeks. No cavities or issues, the Dentist, Hygienist and Dental Assistant were all great. The x-rayer kept telling me that my mouth was small that she couldn't get the pictures and took 5 times each tooth section to get them all done. Maybe she was new, but I have never had my mouth hurt like that after just x-rays and a cleaning. I kept telling her that I couldn't chomp down the way she was placing it and an hour later, we were finally done with that portion. My mouth is not small nor have I had any issues at past dentists. It's hard to believe there isn't an easier, less painful way to capture x-rays by now. Also not a fan of the "open concept" floor plan. Perhaps its an attempt to make people less scared of the dentist, but I find it distracting and invasive. I will find another local dentist unfortunately due to this experience. read more

Dr Barhi and his team focus on their process to make it smooth and patient centric. When you come in, no wait straight to chair. The entire experience from the office side is choreographed so that they can pay complete attention to you. Rosa does my cleanings and is excellent at what she does and one of the most pleasant people in medicine. Dr Barhi uses high tech repair techniques that are less invasive, faster and offer a better value than other practices. Even though I always hate going to Dentist office for checking up or dental work, they are doing good job.

Best experience I've ever had at any dentist. They got me scheduled quickly for my first examination and cleaning. My dental hygienist was nice and very thorough with the cleaning. I would refer this office to anyone looking for a dentist on the southside of Jacksonville. The only issue I had was finding the office. They share a building with a nursing school so I walked into the building to a "not the dentist office" sign. When they schedule you for your first appointment, they should tell you how to find the office. read more

The issue is the hygienists. They are a pack of gossiping over opinionated hyenas. Because one of the xrays was shot crooked, one of the hygienist took it upon herself to inform the other hygienists and front desk that my daughter's teeth was horribly crooked, I was probably too poor to fix her teeth, and I am lying about taking them to the dentist every 6 mos--all within earshot of my 12 yr old. Then when the dentist came and viewed the xrays and my daughters teeth, the hygenist started pointing and nudging at the xrays like a 5 yr old telling on a sibling. Dentist was professional and told her the xrays were bent when they were taken, and her teeth are perfect. Even with this, HALF-WAY through the cleaning, the hygienist stopped and said I had to pay before she would finish. Even after the dentist told her nothing was wrong she continued with her fantasy diagnosis. I felt like she was holding my daughter's teeth hostage. The rest of the office was complacent with her behavior. read more
