Horrible customer service. When we first entered the room, we told the servers the floor was slippery. They wiped it down. I went to the bathroom and the floor there was even MORE slippery. It was almost like floor was mopped with butter. I feel and BUSTED my lip. I was so embarrassed!!! someone told management who then rushed us out of the establishment. no one offered any assistance there were NO floor warning signs. again, i busted my lip and was offered ANY assistance. will NOT be returning! OMG!!! YESS!!! Ai Tunes is not just like other Asian Karaoke around the town. It is equipped with a nice bar with awesome bartenders and they seemed to have extensive drink menu. Also, you can get hookah as well! As you can see in the photos, this place outside the karaoke rooms is decorated like a club. There is also something very special about Ai Tune. The owner of Ai Tune, Martin knows how to treat his customers and makes sure that people have fun there. Seven of us were there and we all got free shots that prepared by the owner himself. I thought it was the sweetest thing!! Please, note that my friend complained that they have limited English songs. However, I highly recommend Ai Tune because of what they can offer. Always amazing. We have gone 2x and it is the absolute most fun a human could have. We cant sing, but we were singing. The drinks and food were amazing. I came here for a birthday party and it was absolutely awesome. The parking was plentiful and free, that in itself is a plus in the city. We were in a private party room which was cool because we could choose our own songs to sing to. They have several private rooms! However, the rest of the place was lit as well. The music was cool and they had a packed dance floor. They also had plenty seating, hookah, and pool tables as well. The service was great! They gave us free shots of a new vodka they were featuring! Who doesn't like free spirits?!?! The food left a lot to be desired but I'm a vegetarian, soooo maybe the meat options were better. The first time I came here was for a friend's birthday in June. The second time was a few weeks ago after another place my sister was using for my brother-law's birthday totally ruined the celebration. It was horrible, so I picked up the phone, called Impulse and told them what happened. They booked us right away, we drove from Lithonia that day and when we arrive the room was even decorated!!! Been to this location before under another name so I was interested to check it out again. Definitely a hype, club-like vibe in the main room. The individual rooms are nicely decorated, clean with ample space for my crowd. Our waiter did a pretty good job. They now have a dance floor but have removed the large stage in the main area. Ai Tunes management knows how to do business. I've hosted several large events here and everyone always has a great time. We have never received anything short of outstanding service. Martin, the owner, is extremely accommodating and knows how to show his guests a good time. If he's not checking on his patrons, he's walking around with complimentary shots. He's built his business on generosity and when you're here, you feel like a friend and not a customer. They have the whole gamut when it comes to song selections and their food is actually really delicious. Definitely check out this place to have a good time and ask for a drink special that's not on the menu: a spiked bubble tea. You won't regret it! read more

I came here with a group of friends for karaoke on a Saturday night and there weren't that many people here (no wait, yay!). The room was very spacious and the staff was very helpful with setting up the sound system. A few people ordered drinks (first karaoke place I've been to with an open bar). There is a free shot with yelp check-in which is super awesome (I think 5 or 6 people in the group used this deal)... But there is a catch. You have to write a yelp review right then and there to use the offer. Overall our friends had a good time. Sound system was good. Service was great. The first time we went it was just okay. We got our room and had fun but we were only able to use the 5$ for 10$ deal for the entire group, not per person, so it was kind of a dud, but that's okay. The second time, we stopped in with a group of maybe 6 or 7 and they were hosting a party I suppose. They told us we had to wait for the room to be prepared. At the time, we were still waiting for the other half of our group to show up so we waited. But when they got here, we were still waiting. We got our "room" about 10 minutes later and discovered how complicated it was. We had to wait some more for them to change the system to cover the languages we wanted to sing, and if we wanted to sing in another language, we would have had to change to another system. We just left.. Poor service and lack of attention to detail. They try too hard to be a big box store of karaoke which would be good, if done right. read more

Let me tell you about my evening here. (And maybe you can help me figure out why this isn't a one-star review.) I'll start with the militaristic pat down on entry to the place. (Which wasn't mandatory for any of the women.) Sexist practice. Care to guess how much stuff my friends snuck into the place in their bras? And unnecessarily strict. What kind of behaviors must they be seeing in this place to warrant this kind of treatment? I mean, they're trying to pass themselves off as a polished establishment, one with a "bottle service" within a reserved section of low-lying couches. The sales effort is on point here. These folks tried to sell my friend on an expensive VIP package, but never mentioned that she could simply rent an actual karaoke room for far less than any of the package prices. I had to discover that. And we finally chose to occupy an actual karaoke room in the effort of actually doing some karaoke. First, the medium sized room was simply too big. So we opted for the small room. Ten dollars cheaper and something like thirty degrees colder. No joke. The server said she'd already turned on the heat. And then she set about teaching us how to use the karaoke system. Except she didn't know how to use the karaoke system, saying that it was written in "some kind of Chinese language." But that we could pull up youtube videos and sing along with the lyrics. "Just put 'lyrics' in the search bar." That's when we noticed she was standing in a puddle of water. And that's when my fiancée looked up. A ceiling tile had failed, presumably because the roof above had been breached by the weight of some snow, which would explain the abnormally frigid temps in that room, along with the puddle of water on the floor. Nonetheless, the server went to get things started for us, and said she would talk to her boss about the water on the floor. While she was gone, the sound system in our small room had some kind of meltdown, emitting some kind of cacophony that one might use to drive herds of animals across the African savanna. It was loud. Everyone in the room died, except for me. And I just managed to turn the thing off as the server came back and said her boss wanted everyone out of the room because the water might be messing with the electronics in the wall. So off we all went, back to the larger room (which was graciously afforded to us at the smaller room rate). Much warmer, and dry. Still no access to the karaoke system. I mean, the karaoke system was right there. It must have cost a bit to buy and install. But the server reminded us she didn't know how to use it, and we set about singing to youtube videos with lyrics. (Which IS NOT the same thing as karaoke.) That's when we discovered the microphones were barely discernible above the youtube videos. The server, trying to fix this, made the mics way too sensitive and created feedback issues, which could only be fixed turning the mics back down, which meant we couldn't hear ourselves over the youtube videos. Nevermind the booming interference from the sounds coming from OUTSIDE our room. The partying in the main hall was coming in through the walls. Nothing in the building was acoustically isolated, not even the electronics. And that's when a friend sat on one of the stools lining the wall--a small padded stool which immediately failed with the sound of a thousand crunching potato chips, unceremoniously dumping my friend on the floor, posterior-first where the stool used to be. Laughing this off, we made the most of the situation and continued to celebrate. That's when we noticed that the 2nd television at the back of the room had stopped working. And soon thereafter, my friend tried to turn on the lights and reported she got an electrical shock from the switch. (Not a static shock. Bzzzzzp.) Plus, the aforementioned bouncers kept checking in on us. Like, once every 20 minutes. Why? If we were actually singing actual karaoke, I don't want to be disturbed by wannabe security boys. Did we have a good time? Yes, the emphasis on "comedy of errors" is on the comedy. I won't be in a rush to go back. read more

This place is so much fun! I went on a Sat night for a friends birthday. She rented a private Kareokee room (rm #1) and it was so dope! It was like a private lounge and we just jammed out to all types of music. I think having a YouTube setup is awesome b/c you can literally pick ANY song and of course YouTube will have it! The food is really good too. The calamari is awesome and so are the wings and fries. It was a little annoying having security poke their heads in every 30 min or so, but some of the security guards are cute so I didn't mind too much. Lol. They had a great food selection although I didn't try anything, from what I saw it was like pub food. Wings. Sliders. Drinks etc. The cost was fair for what they gave you. Especially for the size of the room. They also had hookah you could smoke from and many flavors. The waitresses were awesome. Honestly there wasn't anything that I could complain about. We even dropped some beer on the floor and they quickly came and cleaned it up. They adjusted the temp many times. They were super attentive and had I honestly had an awesome time! The room was so small our knees were touching the table and the other reviewer was right it was a TV but the writing was so small you couldn't even read even though we was in the small room you had to sit down to sing. Honestly you wouldn't have been so bad if the owner or whoever that was emailing me had explained this to me before I got there if I say I'm having seven people you should say this is all we have left is a small room but blah blah blah they didn't tell me that they just wanted to get their money. We had a really great time! A friend of mine celebrated here for her birthday weekend. We had a blast singing and dancing. I'm told the drinks were great and strong (I didn't have any so stay tuned for an updated review). The music was great outside of the karaoke rooms and inside, of course, you choose your own music. I took away the one star because they private rooms (while nice) consist of seating, a table, and a computer for you to do a YOUTUBE search of your song selections. I always try to be patient and understanding as a fellow service industry worker, especially in restaurant matters. However, my visit here was frankly, some hot mid. I'd like to think a single couple with one drink each would be a simple order, but our server not only messed that up, but tried to charge us for the incorrect drink we didn't order (and then no one new how to remove the incorrect drink, including the manager). Also it took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, which is incredible since the place was void of people save for us and a party on the patio. Honestly would have considered ordering wings if the service for drinks wasn't so slow. Also, after we got our corrected drink (only 5 minutes), our server disappeared and didn't show up again until we asked the hookah guy to find her. We were ready to leave at 10, didn't leave until after 10:30 because of all of this. Shout out to the hookah guy for at least trying but from one service industry person to another, this place needs better staff and management. No reason that a guest who received bad service has to wait for three different people to get a refund while also being cast to the side to take other guests. We also never got the drink taken off despite the length of time and 3 brain cells it took to figure that out so like, I'm honestly impressed that you could screw up so badly on a slow night. Dj was good, the place looks nice, and the drinks were average, nothing to write home about. That's the only reason this gets 2 stars. I'd try it again another time if I was guaranteed better service, honestly. Teach your servers how to check on tables in a timely manner, and maybe we won't have these kinds of problems. Also petty minor complaint: the super saiyan blue drink wasn't delivered to us lit on fire and didn't deliver anything reminiscent of Dragon Ball Super. read more

Don't ever go here. We had an event scheduled here (Sept. 3rd) for over a month. A week before the event, Ai Tunes ceased all communication and we didn't have ANY clue why. When we drove there during normal business hours, the place was empty of people, but didn't look shut down. They NEVER contacted us to say what happened and luckily, the day before the party was to take place, we were smart enough to make alternate plans. NEVER. EVER. EVER give them a dime of your money. Our whole party would have gotten there and they would have been closed. With NO notice, no explanation, NOTHING! Even if they had to shut down for some good reason, they should have called and/or returned our messages to let us know we would have to make other arrangements. That lack of consideration is enough to suggest they should NEVER be allowed to run a lemonade stand, let alone a business. I'll make sure to let everyone I possibly can know about their dealings! read more

I made reservations online for about 12 of us, which was very convenient. When we arrived, they obviously expected us and offered us a few options of different rooms which was really cool. I've been to just one other karaoke room-rental place where all the rooms I have been in at this other place were about the same as each other. Nice to have a choice here. For $40 an hour we got this HUGE ROOM with a stage... In this room, we could have doubled our group size and still had space for a dance party When you first walk in, the main room looks like a neon blue club with a bar. There are tables to sit and drink at, bar stools, pool tables, and a DJ. I guess you can show up and sign up for karaoke with the DJ if you don't want to pay for a private room. Pretty cool. The service was okay. The girls waiting on us were super nice. They did come in consistently, but if you weren't paying attention you could miss your next drink order. They didn't really get close to ask orders of each person/group. Not a huge problem, just takes a little more work to make sure you've got your drinks. We had a few problems with the technology. First, there was an obvious spot where a TV was missing on the back wall, over the audience. So if you wanted to stand on the "stage" and preferred/needed the words you had to look at the TV on the stage... your back was probably to the audience. We were shown how to use the remote supposedly with English words printed on buttons, but when it was time to step up and actually use it, we realized we had a foreign remote. We didn't ask for a new one because all you REALLY need is the numbers.. and the rest is kind of guessable (Green for Start, Red for Cancel, etc) We had a little help with some setting stuff... but then the music tempo got a little screwy and the visuals (location of screen icons/song lyrics) got kinda annoying. Lastly, our closeout was a bit of a pain in the butt. Long story short, they can't split the hours amongst the whole group.. it had to be charged in hour increments... so $40 per charge. Luckily, we had some patient people in our group, and a math teacher, which helped with a bit of dividing for later IOUs. All in all, we had a really fun time. The process could have gone a little smoother.. and I would give them 3.5 stars.. however, since we're not working with half stars, I'm bumping them up for their kindness, and the fun facilities. read more

This was my first Karaoke experience. I've never really understood the point in making a complete fool yourself for the entertainment of friends and strangers. Luckily, I wasn't quite in the company of complete strangers. This was a UYE and they're are always attended by friendly faces. It was my intention to just watch but after a few hours, with trembling voice, I made a couple horrific attempts to sing on the very brightly lit and unobstructed stage. It was just water for me and I ate previous to my visit so I didnt partake in the menu offerings. The service was spotty. There were two servers that popped in at random times. Our room was large so that our group of 12 had plenty of space to relax and stretch out. The music selection of English music was disappointing. Myself and several of our guests were surprised when we couldn't find common top 20 songs on the list. I thought the sound quality was bad. One of our two mics wasnt working properly, you could barely hear the person using it. Also, the Karaoke console or software was not functioning right either. The patrons on a Saturday night are young... very young. As I looked around I was surprised that many of them were old enough to drink. When taking breaks to get some air I found myself walking through what seemed like a dirty-dancing Jamaican grinding contest. I didnt take issue with this until random fellows tried recruiting my participation in the event. The worst part of the evening... closing out. It was a grossly mishandled joke. This could not be the first time a group rented a room. The server, as sweet as she was, acted like she didnt have clue. After our room went black we waited around for her to tell us our totals only to have her look at us like we asked her the sq. root of a prime number. Thankfully, we had Professor Von Count (yeah, sesame street reference) in tow so the divvying up of the tab was elementary. Overall, the company of my fellow Yelpers made this experience very enjoyable. Without their company I would not recommend this place. I have no plans to go back on my own, but given the right group of friends I would go again and will take steps to avoid the hassle at close out. read more

Not a bad place just needs a couple issues addressed and would be great. The good: I went to AI tunes with a group of yelpers and my initial impressions were positive. They have a check -in reward that gest you get a free shot. Their large private karaoke rooms easily handled 10+ people and could probably handle 20. Lastly they had a the bar area where you can sing to an audience you don't know. The bad: Once in our room we noticed that there was only one TV on the font wall. Not a problem if you are amazing singer who knows the lyrics to every song you sing. If you are like me, horrible at Karaoke and will only sing after a few, then all you up do is stand with your back to the audience looking at the only screen in the room . Then there was our server who was a bit inexperienced (more on that later) and could have picked up the pace a bit. Our drinks did take some time to come out at the start but she got help later on which helped a bit. The ugly: We wanted the check split; yes it is hard with a large group but not as hard as it was here. So we go to the front where to make a long very boring story short we had to hand hold our server through the whole process. I personally do not care how your POS system works and what limitations are on it all I want is my portion of the check. Even if it means you need to run my card 10 times and hand me 10 little receipts to sign. I don't need to know the inner workings of your system that's not want I'm paying for. 3 stars for a great start but a poor finish. They lost 2 stars on the service. read more

Made it out here a few times now that Ai Tunes is hosting Atlanta Poker Club games on Friday nights. The place doesn't look like much from the outside (a large, mostly empty, partially-covered patio with a couple chairs and tables) but inside its very nice. Dim lights and sofas throughout the spacious main bar room greet you. There are also 10 private Karaoke rooms of varying sizes available by the hour. Martin, the owner, is always around making sure his guests are happy. Mai, our server last time I was there was very nice and got us our drinks and food quickly! The veggie fried rice was great, though there is almost nothing else available on the menu for people who don't eat meat, a point I brought up with the owner last time, and he has promised to work on. The rooms are very nice, and the prices seem reasonable. The English-language song selection is pretty weak compared to traditional American-style bar karaoke shows. Even the Asian-style Happy Karaoke seemed to have some stuff Ai Tunes didn't, but Ai Tunes is a much swankier place and offers other things to do as well such as video games at the bar, poker nights, or just lounging around with a hookah (you can rent them and smoke in the main bar area or in the karaoke rooms, but fear not smoke-averse people... there is no cigarette smoking anywhere inside!) I'd definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

If you're looking for a mostly clean, well-run place to kick back with friends over drinks and karaoke, you could do worse than AI Tunes. You could probably also do better. Admittedly I'm no expert on the subject, because until this past weekend I hadn't been to a karaoke place in over a decade. The procedure here is fairly straightforward. You arrive with a group, pay a flat hourly rate for a private room, and they let you loose with the karaoke system. Every so often a server will stop by to take drink/food orders and check on the group. The staff members all seemed to be attentive and professional during our visit. They were prompt with the drink deliveries and nobody went thirsty for too long. The drink menu is just "okay". There are about eight beers to choose from but they were sold out of my first two choices. Beers are reasonably priced. They also have a full bar and serve liquor and shots. The shots seemed overpriced to me (~$10+/each) so I stuck to beer. The food options looked like standard bar grub with plenty of fried options and greasebombs to soak up the alcohol. I wasn't impressed with the selection of English songs. It looked like they had a really extensive listing of Korean/Chinese songs though. It was a bit frustrating that the library was only listed alphabetically by song title, so you didn't have the option of looking up music by artist/band. I struggled to find the songs I was looking for, and ultimately it seemed like a lot of the "karaoke standards" were missing. Also the remote control that you use to input song selections and control the display was hard to figure out because the buttons were labeled in Korean. We had some trouble getting the lyrics to display the way we wanted them to, and even the staff couldn't get it working properly. They also had trouble figuring out the scoring system so everyone in our group scored a 0.00 for every song all night. These drawbacks aside, the place was fairly clean and it was nice to have a private room where our group could kick back and enjoy the evening. I had a really good time and have no complaints about the service. I just wish that the technology had functioned properly and that the song library was more extensive and better managed. read more
