    Friday night fun @Faaji!

Great ambiance and decor which warrants the 3 stars. Truly an escape nestled in Buford Highway plaza. The DJ was great too - music was energizing and paired well with the swim suit runway videos being shown on monitors. I cannot give a review of the food since I did not consume any. The Yelp event had a buffet that was never refilled as promised. Work obligation prevented early arrival so do not know what was placed in buffet initially. I was told that the Jollof rice went quickly, so would suggest starting with that popular item. The mix up with drink order is the other reason for 3 stars. As there were limited selections on our event menu it is hard to phathom the confusion. The servers were personable and good amount of parking due to location. Hookah's are available too. These qualities coupled with good music will bring me back.

They set up multiple bars for bigger events so you don't have to wait on line for long, and they typically already include tax and gratuity automatically. They've switched to valet parking only, or at least for the event I went to. It was $15 but they say you can park for free at the Walmart down the road.

I opted to park at the Wal-Mart and wasn't as familiar with the trail so I took the street route. Well-light and populated for safe crossing. The venue is very open and was relatively empty since we arrived shortly after it opened. I love the indoor seating concept with plenty of couches, movable chairs, tables near the open-area space and smaller sections for 2-4 people tucked away along the wall. The DJ was already doing his thing and the bartenders remained busy. As someone who wasn't interested in the drinks, I appreciate that there was a self-serve water cooler in the center of the room. The Jenga and jumbo Uno cards were a hit!!!! It was so nice to have these options available. And as others mentioned, the large screen was playing a classic movie - which we could still see from inside. I didn't stay long and this was a Sunday night but the parking lot was much busier when I left. I imagine the outdoor space gets crowded later in the evening as well. The DJ was just okay - not my cup of tea - but folks seemed to be enjoying themselves. I can definitely see why this place is popular. Although parking is less than desirable, it is not unreasonable. The venue is well-lit and easy to move around. The crowd was diverse, with various ages and backgrounds represented. And depending on the DJ, this would be a great place for meeting with friends, date night or just zoning out to some wonderful music ... especially on a beautiful night. If you're in the mood for something different AND don't mind the trek to Chamblee, check it out.

He made so many great suggestions and checked on us the entire time that we were there. Our drinks were absolutely delicious! I have the toasted marshmallow espresso, and it was such a pretty drink and so delicious too. The food really is the star of the show though, My favorites were the blackened salmon and the candied yams. But to be honest, everything was good!! You must try their oysters, chargrilled to perfection. Such a beautiful restaurant with easy parking I will definitely be back!

Service was good, and we took advantage of the happy hour in the bar area. Rest of menu is on the pricey side. We started with a round of drinks. The Mojito and Old Fashioned were both on the happy hour menu for $11. I ordered the Bloody Mary, which was good, but I was disappointed that it wasn't topped with the garnishes described on the menu. We also ordered the fried pickles for $11 during happy hour, and they were very good. Unfortunately, my entrée, the seafood gumbo, was another disappointment. It looked nothing like the photo on the menu, and the presentation was underwhelming. Overall, we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and good service, but some of the food and menu expectations fell short.

Kennedy was also helpful, the bouncers took good care of a regular customer that had a little too much to drink and they handled the situation professionally and respectfully. But it's tucked off in Buford highway, downtown Atlanta or Buckhead which is where you may think it should be. It's in a shopping strip mall so there's free parking. That's good. And there's abundant parking so keep that in mind. They had a decent menu, I went there on a Tuesday and it had a taco Tuesday kind of situation. The chicken, steak, and birria tacos. I had a margarita, which was nothing major. I sat at the bar and ate. The birria tacos are pretty good. They didn't come with the type of consume that you would expect with this type of Taco, but they had a couple of other sauces. Just be where you got a bottle tacos two at a time so you can't just get one if you want to do the special. Everything else for the most part. As far as entrees go look to be on the high end, which doesn't shock me. I guess. Maybe not the super high end but having a couple of margaritas and a bunch of tacos shouldn't cost you like $60. To be fair. I did get six tacos, but still LOL. Again, I sat at the bar and it was okay. Bar service really wasn't super fast at all (which is why I couldnt give it a higher rating), which I couldn't understand because it wasn't even crowded. But it was just something to note.

Afrobeats on repeat, of course! This was everything to me because I've been to caribbean spots out here that play hip hop and r n b, constantly. Neon lights and leather seats paired with a chic backdrop does it every time. Service: The server and bartender was extremely friendly! I wish I got her name. We were greeted on entering and she came over immediately and helped us out. She even gave great suggestions about the menu and what to order. The young woman who is serving was also just as friendly! She came over, spoke to us, and checked on us, just as much as the server did. She also waited for us to get food before giving us the hookah because the timing between getting surfer both was very close for service 10 out of 10 would recommend lol #Keith Food I personally had the pepper soup with Jollof rice. The rice substitution was suggested by the waitress, and I am so happy I took her advice. My other friends had pepper soup but one and ordered the egusi soup and pounded yam which she said more than hit the spot lol! She said it was cooked and seasoned perfectly and had more than enough to take home. Jollof Rice: the rice was season to perfection and cooked perfectly. It was different from the jollof rice that you would get from a Nigerian or Ghanaian restaurant. You have to remember that this is Senegalese based food! So don't expect the same thing. However, it is just as flavorful and just as good. Pepper soup: The soup was full of flavor, and the heat from the pepper did not overcome the other seasonings. The meat fell off the bone although initially I thought I would need a bigger portion of meat , it was more than enough, when paired with the food. In fact, I was able to get two meals out of this one. As promised it opened up my pores but there weren't any tears . The soup is more of a broth consistency hence the reason it paired well with the rice. You could try it with pounded yam but I would imagine it would be too watery.
