There was a security guard checking IDs, but it also made me feel safer parking there, so no complaints. The lounge itself is pretty spacious, with mostly sectional seating that can fit at least 8 people--definitely great for groups. I went on a Friday night around 11 p.m., and the crowd was just right. It wasn't overly packed or rowdy, but people were still having fun, and the music was really good. My friends and I had already eaten, so we just ordered hookah, which was only $25--super reasonable, and it was decent quality. The server came around to check on us every so often, which was nice. I think the lady who checked us out was Meron, and she was cool and efficient. Overall, great place for hookah, music, and a chill vibe. I'd definitely come back to try their drinks and maybe check out the food next time!

I didn't order food (next time, then?) but we ran the gamut of drinks and hookah for a few hours and it reminded me that I actually need to book a flight to Addis or Bahir... But I digress. It's a small, cozy spot but even if it was packed I wouldn't call it crowded. And the muzikaaa.. Perfect playlist--some afrobeat, some traditional /national Ethiopian.. All love for my tastes. I'm hoping the next time I'm bending a few corners in the east and have some time to kill I can get another glimpse and maybe chop with the owner.

That said, I believe the Beef Tibs would be disappointing regardless - overcooking a subprime cut is a dependable recipe for discontentment.
