I was hesitant because I want it to still look the same as I have seen some bad jobs done on Berta's and didn't want my dress ruined. I went to the bridal shop in the galleria area, and it was extremely beautiful. The woman, Janeth, I was paired with for help was very vocal about how great she is at what she does. Not once did she listen to what I wanted and I was so stressed out. I kept voicing what I would like and she would still give me what she thought i would look good in. I'm very modest person and she would only hand me the exact opposite of what I asked for. I had pictures of what I wanted style wise. Finally, I spoke to the manager asking for something to cover more of my chest and the manager brought me a dress that covered me up and it was pretty much the only one offered to me. My appointment was up and I did not want to buy the dress, but they kept telling me if I didn't get it then I would not get the discount and I can't come back and get the discount, which I wanted of course. I was so stressed out and wish I just walked away, but my stupid self let myself feel pressured. Wedding dress shopping was nothing like I dreamed, and they took that away from me. It's time for me to go and be fitted, but I don't even want to walk back in there. I have even pushed my wedding day. I will reach out to them soon to see if there is any type of remedy as I have not tried the dress on since they ordered it, so no alterations have been made. I will update once I speak to them. Erica at Impression Bridal went above and beyond to not only help meet the requirements but to research options for less expensive and more event appropriate options. Make an appointment so that you can try on the dresses. They have small spaces with raised platforms to help showcase the dress when trying it on. We haven't decided on a dress yet but we have the price, the look, and the order turnaround time that meets our needs all of which is because of the great service Erica provided. My initial appointment was great! I was paired with Kristie and she was amazing. She asked me a series of questions and really got to know me as a bride. She picked out 5 dresses, which I would have never even given a chance. I actually bought the the first dress I tried on. I was told to expect it in 6 months (August) Fast forward to a few months later, when I went to pick up my dress. Found out Kristie don't work there anymore. So one lady helped me try it on. But no one helped me adjust, give me advice on how to fluff the train or anything. They literally just stood there as I stood there trying to figure it out with my bridesmaids. I asked if anyone knew how to properly fluff the train because it was multiple different layers. Everyone said no. Finally, I was so frustrated, I said can y'all get someone that can help?? They brought the seamstress. She was so sweet trying to spread out the multiple layers to my train. After that experience, I didn't want to spend another dollar there. I was there in my dress for an hour as they stood around looking clueless! So I took my dress to Kristin Johnston for alterations. Thank god I did!!! Alyse (stylist) was absolutely amazing! I was kind of burnt out after looking for a wedding dress at quite a few boutiques. She took time to ask me questions that let her know who I am as a person and how I wanted to look on my wedding day. Once she figured me out, she nailed it with selecting dresses. Impression has such a wide selection of dresses, that there isn't just something for everyone, there are many beautiful options for every taste/budget. The first dress I tried on with Alyse ended up being the one! We tried out a few more possibilities, but as soon as I put on the first one again, I knew that was it. I accompanied one of my best friends to pick out her wedding dress. First off, I wasn't there when she met the bridal consultant. I came in later. I don't even know what the consultant's name was. I just walked in and found the consultant to be extra pushy. My best friend had a budget of 2K and the lady brings out dresses that were 4K and up, completely out of budget. Mind you, if she didn't like something about the dress, then she recommended add ons, which of course, would be more. She felt pressured to buy a dress that the consultant saw her cry in, assuming that she "knew that this is her dress" and that it was perfect. She cried because the consultant told her to close her eyes, and put a 900 dollar veil, bracelet, fancy bouquet and the dress that was already over her budget -- and to envision her future spouse. Of course she is going to open her eyes and cry! I can see right through that, and I've been through this process before. I could tell that my best friend was getting overwhelmed and did not know what to do, she just wanted to rest and recollect herself. I had to coach her and say that we did not have to get the dress today, etc. etc. "It's okay. You're stunning in everything." Though she was stunning, the consultant took advantage of my bf's emotions. When she had second thoughts, she started badmouthing me saying "I don't know what your friend told you" and kept asking verification from the mom, who wanted to let the bride make the decision. The bride asked me to say something out loud, and I told her I didn't want to say anything because SHE has to LOVE the dress without my persuasion. Then the consultant continues to shot bullets at me saying "YEAH DON'T TALK, IT'S ABOUT THE BRIDE, DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU SAY". And I proceed to tell her, "yes Lady, that's what I said". When the bride asked her that she wanted to go and have lunch, the consultant said to put the dress that made her cry back on. The bride was persistent, wanting to have lunch/dinner to recollect. Then the bride told us later that she felt forced to get the dress while it was just the consultant and her in the changing room. Being a former bride, I hate the fact that emotions are played to created a sale. I would think you would want to listen to your client if they have a budget. It's a big day, sure. But don't freaking stress out the bride when this is suppose to be a happy experience. It might be just that one consultant but I will never recommend someone to come here if that's how they play. This store has a huge selection of dresses. As soon as we arrived we were paired with a stylist, I don't remember her name. She asked the occasion and made her way to choosing dresses for us. When we made our way to the fitting room I feel like I was walking through a jungle, tons of dresses everywhere. It can almost be overpowering. The stylist helped us choose after we told her what we did and didn't like. The bridesmaid dresses, I would say, range between $180 & up. They only carry their brand. Horrible fittings! They measured me 6 months ago, and when I got home I couldn't remember my size so I measured myself (I'm a bra fit specialist so I know how to do so) and I wrote my sizes down so I could remember to stay those sizes. When i picked up my dress it was waaaaay too tight. Another lady sized me and said I grew and inch all around Im thinking impossible since I haven't changed my size much at all! They told me alterations we around 110+ which is outrageous. So I took it to my personal seamstress and she said the dress would need 3 inches of adjustment. What kind of size do they look at?!? I'm not a big girl at all. 5'2 and 120 lbs.. This happened to other girls in the bridal party too, it's not just me. And they didn't seem to care. Two of my friends accompanied me to Impression Bridal on a bright and early Saturday morning (10 a.m. - when they open) in my pursuit of "the moment." Just kidding, the "moment" didn't happen to me. I'm way too cool and unaffected to befall to that kind of stuff and by that, I mean "way too stressed out." I think my bridal consultant Aaryn realized that early on as well and let my friends guide the selection of dresses to try on. Prior to my Impression Bridal appointment, I had already tried on my fair share of wedding dresses, so I had a particular vision in mind this go around. Aaryn was mindful to pull dresses incorporating an aspect or two of my preferred style in order to explore whether I was open to design elements that I hadn't yet considered. There is a limited couture section at Impression Bridal, I think they are $4,000 and up? Most of the couture dresses seemed to have extensive and intricate beading and sequins, justifying their pricier status, but if your vision of yourself on your wedding day involves extravagance and a whole lot of sparkle, you might want to check that section out. I think I spent a little over an hour trying on a hundred dresses (more like a little over a dozen, but they all blur together and multiple in one's mind after awhile, yanno?). I did have a couple of top favorites following my appointment, but not wanting to stress over expedited shipping and whether I would have sufficient time to alter my dress, I ended up purchasing a beautiful dress from a consignment boutique. Nonetheless Aaryn was lovely to work with and I would recommend brides-to-be to give this place a shot. I had previously given up and was just going to order something generic from David's Bridal... And let me tell you, what a gem she found! The entire experience was awesome. Christina treated my friends and I as if we were VIP's. She made sure to pull out as many dresses as I wanted to try on and gave valuable input throughout the process. In the end I ended up choosing a gown that her and the manager picked out for me based on my comments about the others. I finally slipped into the perfect dress and knew right away what all the brides say on tv... you know it when you wear it! I purchased my wedding dress here and though the dress came out with no issues (the 2 stars) the attitude and snooty-ness from the staff was out of this world. Disgusting experience. I was more of an alternative bride so they paired me with an alternative seamstress of sorts i guess. She was probably the rudest person in the building. I was excited that I purchased 3 dollar goodwill white vintage hills and exclaimed to my friend 3 dollar shoes and 3 thousand dollar dress! (my dress was over 2,800 i did not and still do not know the exact price) and the woman putting my dress on me rudely said "oh please I know how much you actually paid for this" ......... crickets for the rest of the fitting. We had a 4:00pm appointment. We were early and waited for our bridal consultant. The appointment started off awkward because she wanted to see our venue and was sarcastic about "how nice" it looked. Then she continued to body shame our bride and picked out every dress that was completely opposite of what she said she wanted. She told her they didn't have it in her size and probably couldn't get it in time for her July wedding and she may have to settle for another style that "better fit her body style". Very rude to everyone and after three dresses that were completely wrong , our bride wanted to leave. The consultant didn't even have her in a correct bra that helped fit a strapless dress. As we were leaving, the consultant didn't even try to make things better or help further. She just let us all walk out. I bought my Berta bridal dress, veil and dress alterations from Impressions, and had an overall fabulous and customized experience. I live in Austin, but visited Impression because it's one of the few retailers who carry Berta Bridal in Texas. My consultant, TT, immediately made me laugh and feel comfortable - even though I had to really shimmy in to the sample sizes - as well as put me in plenty of non-Berta (i.e. less expensive) options to give me variety. Having TT as a consultant felt like having my own personal stylist - she helped me visualize the entire package: veil, jewelry, makeup, hair, etc. - and even stayed involved through the initial alterations to make sure our vision came to life. There was a minor snafu in the beginning of the process re: price, but ultimately Impression made it right. The in-house alterations with Anna sealed the deal: she is so talented, and does high quality work. Plus, each time I went in (4 visits total), I had either TT or one of the store managers drop in to help and make sure things were running smoothly. At my last fitting, the owner helped make sure something as minor as sewn-in-Spanx got done real-time so I could take my dress home that day. I'm very happy with my experience here, and would definitely recommend Impression to other brides. read more

OUTSTANDING REVIEW: I wasn't the girl who had her wedding planned out growing up, who liked dresses, or like planning events.
