The gym itself is a bit older and smaller than some of the newer locations. It gets very busy in the late afternoon and evening, especially after work. That said, they still have a decent amount of equipment, so you can usually get a full workout in--it just takes a little more patience during peak hours. The biggest issue here is the men's bathroom. It's consistently dirty every time I've been in, which is disappointing. On top of that, whoever installed the hand dryer clearly wasn't thinking it through. It's mounted only about six inches above the counter, so your hands end up touching the counter while you're drying them, which is pretty gross. Overall, it's a functional gym that gets the job done, especially if proximity matters. It could use some updates and better attention to cleanliness, but it's not a bad place to work out if you go in knowing what to expect.

I'm wondering if this is just a one time issue that unfortunately was happening while I trialed the location?? There was a Google review saying it always smells like something died in there 2 months ago and mountainside commented that they would improve and seeing as it still smells badly I doubt they actually tried addressing the issue. I also realize I chose the worst time to trial considering it's summer and the ASU students are temporarily out of the area. I worry if I get a membership and get used to it being nice and chill once Fall session starts it'll be incredibly packed.

If you want to compete and be engulfed entirely in the bodybuilding environment, then 100% spend the $69 to get a membership. They also occasionally freeze adding new members, so as to avoid the gym ever feeling too busy (maintaining the "private gym" experience and community), which is amazing, and something I've never seen before. Cons: The price is $69 ($59 if you commit to 3 months, or $49 if you commit to 6 months) per month, which is quite the sum. There is also no two arm cable machine, save the large cable machine in the middle. This makes some sense, because this is supposed to be very old school bodybuilding-esc, so it's definitely something that I wouldn't necessarily say is a bad thing, but it's important to consider if you can't see yourself working out without that. Overall, if you can get past the price and want perhaps the best gym vibe around, this is absolutely 100% the place you HAVE to go to. The community is amazing so positive as well. I would love to compete one day, but I'm currently not in a position to afford that price, so I won't be going here beyond my three day free pass for the time being. If you can afford it, however, definitely don't miss out on this opportunity. It's something I'm not sure you can find anywhere else.

This was the evidence necessary to prosecute this creep in the gym who's secretly taking photos of women and getting away with it. After I moved away from Arizona, their membership subscription recurred constantly, and I had to get into an argument over email to get it canceled. Not only did they let a creep get photos of my girlfriend and get away with it, even when we had eyewitnesses and all we needed was just to see the evidence as well as the police, but they will suck you up for as much money as they possibly can.

It was super easy to sign up and only $15 for a drop in which I think is on the lower end of most gyms whether it's spin, yoga, or training. The instructor was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable as newbies. Let's be honest no one likes being in an unfamiliar class unsure of where to stand or what to expect alongside a bunch of regulars. The class was tough -- but in a good way. Their leg day was a true leg day, I don't think I've ever done so many squats (in various forms of course). My legs are absolute jello. As with any interval class you really can go at your own pace though it's hard to not feel motivated to push yourself with the trainer walking around encouraging you. I like that they start exactly on time even if the entire class is present just in case there are late stragglers. The space is HUGE - you can fit tons of people in there without it feeling congested or as if you're stepping on someone's toes. It's clean with lots of equipment options so you're not fighting over weights. The playlist was great (though wouldn't mind it louder to drown out the "omg this hurts when is it going to end" thoughts passing through my head haha) They have a smoothie and açaí shop connected to the gym which I wish we could've tried but we're on our way to brunch. If I lived here that would be heaven and so convenient to wrap my workout with a protein shake onsite.

Each trainer is really focused on making sure you get the most from your workout by correcting your form and keeping you motivated during class. They're also always happy to provide you with alternative exercises if you have an injury or simply aren't coordinated enough to do something. I've also noticed that they all really try to remember your face and name- which holds you accountable when you skip a day or two! If you're the kind of person who needs a lot of positive reinforcement, take a class from Aurora, Bobby, or Nick- they'll be your biggest cheerleaders throughout class! If you're looking to improve your form and performance I highly recommend taking a class from Dean on Tues/Weds/Thurs evening- he's not shy about telling you what you could be doing differently to achieve maximum results. I've been an EōS member for nine years now, having the highest membership tier that allows me to hop around locations, and I gotta say that this location is pretty decent. They have already expanded once and fixed up the parking lot so it's nice. They also have the best instructors here (shout out to Alycia and Sydney). EōS is a solid gym and I have no real complaints. I get to do what I need to do and get out with relative ease. Parking can be a nightmare though as it's a very popular EōS location. I often find myself parking in the back, which isn't bad during the cooler months, but during the summer, it's awful. The sun is in your eyes the whole walk out to the front as the front faces westwards and I usually pop in during the afternoon. To be fair, I think all EOS have a parking lot situation that is reminiscent of Squid Game season two's merry-go-round game. We can't have it all, I suppose.
