Probably shouldn't drive your company vehicle so recklessly. Slow down and don't drive so aggressive.

I put out a request for bids to multiple bidders. Lucian was not only the first to respond, but he was the only one who committed to a time to be out and evaluating the site in person. He was right on time, he physically distanced to ensure no stress of COVID, and provided excellent guidance while actively listening to my wants for the fence. Lucian was exceptionally responsive to my questions in person and in email; he provided a timely and well-detailed quote. Two weeks prior, Lucian contacted me to see if I wanted to move up the date; since I'm not going anywhere, absolutely! He showed up - again, right on time with his staff. They started and worked well into the early evening, past what I would've expected on both days. My fence was completed in two days - not only was the fence EXACTLY what I wanted/what was advertised, but the area? Cleaner than it was when the crew started. Lucian is exactly the kind of business owner I want to go out of my way to support. And his crew? Top notch, worked non-stop, and the end result is that my house looks infinitely better with this quality fencing than it could have otherwise.

Not a small job, and an emergency one, because she LOVED running around the neighbors' yards. Lucian and his Dad braved the elements on extremely short notice, and built an entire new fence (mostly in the rain) for a great price. They gave me lots of upgrades, like unknotted wood, and thicker footers, and were incredibly fast and efficient. Its beautiful. That should have been enough, but - no - then my about six months later my back neighbors got their own Bernadoodle puppy, and the two dogs decided they didn't want a fence, so my pitty figured out how to pound her head against the boards until they bowed, then get her jaws on the wood, and tear through it. Lucian agreed that metal roof panels attached to the back fence would probably work (either that or an electric cattle fence), so he and his son came back out with the panels, cut them to fit, and spent a day attaching them, which - it turns out - is not as easy as it sounds. Again, quick service and excellent value. This family business, NW Modern, is fantastic, and I highly recommend them. And yes - it appears the metal roof panels are working!

However, replacing the deck would mean having to update it to current building codes and permits, which would then mean having to hire an engineer for our small 6' x 14' deck... Bruce came over, took a look and casually said, we can add more supports and fix the deck instead of having to replace it. He walked us through all the repairs he would do, he listened to our concerns and wrote up an estimate that weekend. I choose to hire him because of his straightforwardness in answering all my questions, he was so down to earth and friendly, I felt like he was trustworthy. We went from potentially having to wait months and spend $20,000 on a new replacement deck to spending about $5,000 on repairs and taking considerably less time. They were booked out till about October and would contact us when the time came closer, they did just that and were able to fix the deck in a day. We hired him to come back to build a 2nd retaining wall, his son came out and built it in less than an hour. They used high quality materials, I feel like the wood used will last a long time. A year later, we noticed that the deck was starting to sink and consulted with Bruce. He came over, took a look and figured it was probably the ground material was soft and causing the deck to sink. He offered to fix it, FREE OF CHARGE. It wasn't his fault the ground was soft, it just shows how much integrity he has in his work. Hands down, I would recommend him to anyone. My neighbor immediately asked for his contact!

Juan is a very professional businessman and he's old school cuz he believes the customer is right and wants to do what they ask him to do. Three different locations on our property at a total of about 230 feet of fencing demoed and rebuild with gates and painted by his ace painter, Ivan. We're really happy with his professional acumen, flexibility and willingness to get our business and make sure we are happy with the results. We are taking more bids for him as we have a lot more fences and painting to do at our community. Give Elite a try, I promise they will do their best to suit your needs within your budget. Cheers!

I had reached out to several fence contractors, but Juan responded immediately and gave me the answer I was looking for, which was an honest one: he couldn't tell me how much the job would cost without seeing it in person. I respect that. Juan came out punctually the next morning to give me an estimate. He immediately pointed out a couple of reasons why our decrepit gate and fence was failing and offered two solutions that would ensure that the replacements were durable and functional. He offered fair pricing which included hauling away the old materials. Within a couple of hours he had emailed a professional and clear estimate. Two days later, Juan and his crew arrived a few minutes earlier than scheduled to get started on our project. Each team member was very professional, clean, and fast- they worked together so quietly it almost seemed as if they had an unspoken way of communicating with each other. This was really appreciated since the work was being done just outside of our home office where my husband was on several meetings that morning. When the project was done, my husband and I were very impressed with the quality of the work and materials. Juan had called me an hour after his crew left to ensure that we were satisfied with the job. I got an estimate from him for some more work we need to get done in the future, we'll definitely hire him again! If you want a reliable, experienced, and professional contractor to build, fix, or repair your fence call Juan. Each step of the way he was great at communicating with me via text, email, and phone. It's always great to have a contractor I enjoy working with to add to my contacts.

Since it is a large deck on a on a slope, we knew it was not something we could do ourselves. After listening to our hopes and ideas, they developed a couple concepts for us to consider before we settled on a plan. After we agreed on the concept Victor and John came and gave us their appraisal and bid in a very timely manner. Although they had other projects before us, they began gathering materials and doing the new foundations for the new deck in early November. Although cost does enter the picture, they were fair in their understanding of our goals and needs and stayed on our agreed upon budget. Their requests for a deposit and funds along the way were reasonable. When we needed an additional week for the funds to come into our accounts as additional materials were ordered and delivered, they understood and continued the work. It was easy to communicate with them through person to person, phone calls, e-mails and/or texts. We decided to go with the Rocky Harbor Trex design and watched each day as the project progressed until it was done. Even with the November winds and rain, they showed up and worked throughout each day. Their work ethic and skills are second to none! When it was done, the new deck exceeded our expectations not only for the design, but also the stability, their professionalism, keeping us informed throughout the process, and their understanding of the many questions we had along the way. The photos below show the end product that we are looking forward to using more in the coming days. A definite 5 Star Review and recommendation!

He has built three different types of decks on my current property and all of them are of top quality and built to last. The first deck Pete built for me was to replace a cedar deck attached to my home. He used Brazilian Hardwood, or IPE, because of its durability and low maintenance qualities. The picture is current of a deck that was built 14 years ago. The second deck he built was around my Koi pond and we chose Trex decking to go over existing structure. This deck is 13 years old and as attractive as the day it was built. The third deck he built was a few months ago. The deck it replaced was cedar and I wanted to replicate what was there because it lasted so well. Pete used pressure treated beams stringers. Any cuts in the wood was painted with a protective treatment that is necessary when such wood is cut and the raw wood is exposed. The cedar boards were stained on all sides prior to being laid into place. I expect this deck to last for thirty years. Pete is also excellent with fence replacement. My pressure treated wood deck was replaced with a metal fence over 14 years ago and still looks new. No problems with posts or material to date. Lastly, Pete built a retaining wall at the edge of my property. It was built to be maintained and corrected, should the ground shift and require adjustments. The crew at Legacy Decks and fence are very easy to deal with and Pete ensures that all work is up to his standards. I can't speak highly enough about the quality of the work. And the test of time has proven the durability to me.

They came out to talk thru the project and discussed options but no hard sell (which I appreciate). They assign a project manager (Blake in my case) to coordinate and keep things on schedule. The took out the prior fence and checked in with our 96 yr old neighbor that we share the fence with to make sure he approved. He did! What a Nightmare!…read more Our experience with Cascade Fence & Deck was frustrating and exhausting. We paid nearly $48,000 for a deck, expecting quality workmanship, professionalism, and clear communication. Unfortunately, that was far from our experience. From the beginning, communication was poor, scheduling was inconsistent, and we had serious concerns about the quality of the work. We observed uneven decking, excessive fraying, poorly cut or damaged boards, improperly installed fasteners, and a worksite that was repeatedly left in unacceptable condition. These are issues that should have been caught and corrected by the company, not repeatedly pointed out by the homeowners. We specifically requested an in-house crew, yet subcontractors were sent instead. This was particularly frustrating because we had made our preference clear from the beginning. We were so dissatisfied with their workmanship and conduct that we eventually asked for them to be removed from the project. What bothered us most was that the company wasn't proactively offering to correct the problems we identified. I had to repeatedly push and demand that issues be addressed. We shouldn't have had to fight for basic workmanship standards on a project costing nearly $48,000. The attached photos shows how the property was left on a day the crew wasn't even scheduled to work. This wasn't an isolated incident. Our property was left in similar conditions for more than half of the project. We found the worksite messy and unsafe, and it was disappointing to see so little consideration for our home. We identified more than 30 areas of excessive fraying throughout the deck. When I raised concerns, I was told a good pressure washing would take care of it. Considering this is finished composite decking, I found that response concerning. Only some of the workmanship issues shown in the attached photos were ever addressed. Even after a new crew came in to finish the project, there were still problems. The skirting boards were damaged, the skirting door rubbed against its frame, and the door handle was already damaged. The photos show the condition of these areas immediately after the project was completed, not after months of use. It's incredibly disappointing that these issues remained even after the company had an opportunity to make things right. We also experienced a lack of transparency and what we felt was dishonesty regarding the permitting and inspection process. We repeatedly had to ask questions, seek clarification, and request updates before eventually involving company leadership. I spent an unbelievable amount of time documenting concerns, emailing employees, following up, and monitoring the project. We thought we hired professionals. Instead, I felt like I had to oversee the work myself just to make sure our concerns were taken seriously. My husband and I value our time, and we certainly didn't expect to spend this much of it managing a company we hired to do a job. Although some efforts were eventually made to correct certain problems, we remain disappointed with the finished product. There are scratches on the decking, unresolved workmanship concerns, and questions about how certain areas will hold up over time. What made this experience especially frustrating wasn't just the workmanship. It was the lack of accountability, inconsistent communication, and the fact that we had to continually advocate for issues to be corrected rather than the company taking the initiative. Once trust was lost, it became difficult to feel confident in the work being done. I do appreciate the individuals who eventually made an effort to address our concerns. However, those efforts don't change the overall experience or the condition of the finished product. We documented the entire project through photographs, videos, and written communication. I strongly encourage anyone considering Cascade Fence & Deck to carefully review their contract, confirm whether an in-house crew or subcontractors will be performing the work, stay involved throughout the project, and document everything. Better yet, find a company you don't have to micromanage that isn't a HACK. For nearly $48,000, we expected a much better experience and a finished product we could feel good about. Instead, what should have been an exciting home improvement project turned into weeks of unnecessary stress, frustration, and disappointment. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Cascade Fence & Deck.
